EXCLUSIVE: Drake Allowed To Tape Subpoena To Missing Witness’s Door In “Not Like Us” Lawsuit

Drake is slapping subpoenas on doors now after blowing over $75,000 trying to track down a dude he says knows way too much about the behind-the-scenes drama in his legal war with Universal Music Group over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

A federal judge in New York gave Drake’s lawyers the green light to serve Kojo Menne Asamoah with legal docs by mail, email and—get this—by taping that subpoena right on the front doors of five spots tied to Asamoah, his family or his business.

After 11 failed attempts, the court basically said, “Do what you gotta do.”

Drake’s team has been hunting Asamoah for weeks, hiring private investigators and process servers to chase him across multiple addresses. No luck.

So now, they’re going door-to-door, thanks to Judge Jeannette A. Vargas, who ruled that “alternate service” was fair game after all those attempts to serve Asamoah.

The court docs say Asamoah holds receipts—emails, contracts, digital trails—that could blow things wide open. But so far, dude’s been a ghost.

This is part of a larger lawsuit where Drake claims UMG secretly paid folks to juice the streaming numbers on Kendrick’s diss track using bots and shady third parties.

Asamoah, according to Drake, is smack in the middle of that conspiracy.

Drizzy’s legal squad says Asamoah helped pull strings to boost “Not Like Us” and make it look like the whole world was vibing with it. Drake’s suit also says the track falsely paints him as a predator, putting him and his family in danger.

The lawsuit also claims UMG banked off the beef, cashing in on the hype with Grammy wins and a Super Bowl halftime performance featuring the track.

Even though Asamoah isn’t named as a defendant, he’s clearly a significant piece of the puzzle. He’s rumored to have ties to the digital marketing world, but there’s no proof he’s directly tied to Kendrick himself.

Woman Who Can’t Leave Post Malone Alone Arrested, Held Without Bail

Post Malone had another unwanted run-in with his longtime stalker after Cherish Christine Gomer allegedly launched herself in front of his ride early Monday.

The insanity occurred outside of his Utah home on August 4 and marks her fifth arrest for the same creepy behavior.

According to court docs, the 32-year-old Gomer got cuffed outside the Cottonwood Heights mansion after hiding in the bushes and allegedly blocking the Hip-Hop star’s car.

She’s now facing two third-degree felonies — stalking and violating a permanent criminal stalking injunction.

“She truly believes that she has a calling from some sort of spirit animal. She thinks that she has a relationship with Mr. Post…so that she’s entitled to do this. It’s incredibly alarming and these people can be incredibly dangerous, as we’ve seen throughout history,” said Robby Russo, Police Chief of Cottonwood Heights.

This whole saga’s been dragging on for months. It kicked off back on January 21 when Gomer first got busted for sneaking onto Posty’s property. A gate opened for a worker and she slid right in.

Then on February 1, she popped up again, this time strolling right up the driveway like she lived there. She caught another charge and later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor stalking.

She wasn’t done. She turned up again on February 10 and then once more on July 27 — both times violating the court order meant to keep her away.

Now she’s locked up again with no bail, and it looks like the court’s finally done playing nice.

Benny The Butcher & Conway The Machine Reportedly Clash In Paris

Benny The Butcher and Conway The Machine allegedly went head-to-head in a heated confrontation overseas, igniting fresh speculation that Griselda may be fracturing from within.

The tension within the Buffalo-born collective reportedly peaked during a Paris stop that should have been a celebration of raw lyricism and underground grit. Instead, it spiraled into whispers of fists, knives and fractured alliances.

According to eyewitnesses and scattered social media commentary, Benny and Conway did not share the stage. Instead, their respective camps arrived and moved entirely separate, which many longtime followers of Griselda immediately noted as “off.”

“There was no Griselda set. They were completely split up. Something is up,” one attendee posted online.

The most dramatic reports suggest an actual physical altercation between Benny and Conway. One source described them “arguing face-to-face,” only to be separated before things escalated further. Another alleged that someone pulled a knife, while a different member of the entourage was reportedly knocked unconscious during the chaos.

While unverified, the rumors have hit the internet like wildfire, prompting fans to question whether this incident signals the death knell for Griselda’s unity. One particularly ominous quote circulating on Instagram read: “Griselda’s family is totally dead.”

That might be dramatic, but signs of trouble have been bubbling under the surface for months. The three-headed monster that once included Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher and Conway The Machine has been seemingly moving in different directions.

Benny has been busy with Def Jam, his Everybody Can’t Go LP and collaborations far outside the traditional Griselda circle. Conway, meanwhile, has doubled down on Drumwork Music Group, mentoring new artists and carving out a distinct brand.

While Westside Gunn has often played the middleman, even his recent statements have leaned toward each artist “doing their own thing.” It should be noted that they are cousins in real life so how bad can this be? Well, don’t answer that yet.

Still, nothing hits harder than seeing two of the game’s top spitters at odds. These dudes built their rep on loyalty and lyricism. They’re all from Buffalo. By the way, Conway has new music, too.

What caused this rift? Some believe it’s friendly fire – competition. Others think it’s deeper. It would be an accumulation of business disagreements, ego clashes and the pursuit of individual success. DAMN. I hope not. Top billing is  all there is for most in Hip-Hop. The movement mattes. Brotherhood matters. And, maybe sadly,  competition matters.

Neither Conway nor Benny has addressed the alleged Paris incident publicly. But if the rumors are true, Griselda’s era of unity may be giving way to a solo era.

Whatever happens next, one thing’s certain: We are watching.

Young Thug Returns To High School To Do Good—As Part Of Probation

Young Thug returned to an Atlanta high school last week as part of his court-ordered community service, urging students to steer clear of violence and poor decisions.

On Friday morning (August 1), the 33-year-old artist visited Skyview High School on Old National Highway. The appearance was one of several public talks required by the terms of his probation, following his guilty plea in a sweeping criminal case tied to the YSL RICO indictment.

During his visit, Young Thug avoided glamorizing his past. Instead, he emphasized personal responsibility and the consequences of poor decisions.

“I feel like violence is just not the thing,” Young Thug told students during the visit. “It’s lame, it’s corny.”

According to Atlanta News First, Thugger answered questions about his life, career and past choices, offering a rare glimpse into his personal reflections after being released from jail late last year.

His remarks were part of a broader effort to fulfill a community service requirement tied to a 40-year sentence, of which only five years were to be served. That portion was commuted to time already served.

The rapper’s legal troubles stemmed from a high-profile case involving racketeering and multiple drug and gun charges for allegedly heading up the Young Slime Life gang.

Young Thug pleaded guilty to one gang-related count, three drug offenses and two weapons charges.

He also entered a no-contest plea to a racketeering conspiracy charge.

The final sentence was handed down by a judge—not negotiated with prosecutors—and included 15 years of probation and 20 years suspended, which could be reinstated if he violates the terms.

Conditions of his release include house arrest, mandatory public speaking, and a 10-year restriction from living in metro Atlanta without prior approval.

Trump Sanctions Narco Rapper Accused Of Using Music To Launder Money For Drug Cartel

Mexican rapper “Narco rapper” El Makabelico was hit with sanctions by Donald Trump’s administration after U.S. officials accused him of funneling music royalties to a violent drug cartel operating along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The U.S. Treasury Department announced that El Makabelico allegedly used his Hip-Hop career to launder money for the Cartel del Noreste, a criminal group that evolved from the now-defunct Zetas Cartel.

The sanctions freeze his assets in the United States and prohibit American companies or individuals from doing business with him.

According to the Treasury, El Makabelico directed “approximately 50 percent of his music royalties” from streaming platforms to the cartel’s financial network.

“El Makabelico has used his music career to support and promote the violent activities of the Cartel del Noreste,” the Treasury Department said in a statement.

The department also warned that foreign banks or entities that continue to work with El Makabelico or the cartel could face secondary sanctions.

The Cartel del Noreste, which Donald Trump’s administration has designated as a foreign terrorist organization, has increasingly turned to nontraditional revenue streams like concerts and merchandise to clean illicit funds.

El Makabelico music, which includes narco-corridos, often glorifies cartel life and street violence.

He performs masked and has built a massive online audience with millions of followers across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

His video for “El Sobrino” has over 148 million views on YouTube alone before his channel was deleted just hours ago on Wednesday (August 6).

South Park Skewers Donald Trump Again With Satan Romance & ICE Chaos

Donald Trump returned to animated chaos on Tuesday (August 6) in the latest episode of South Park, where he’s seen rubbing Satan’s leg under a dinner table and overseeing ICE raids with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

The episode, titled “Got a Nut,” is the second installment of the show’s 27th season and leans heavily into political absurdity.

Trump is portrayed as a recurring caricature, this time in a romantic subplot with the Prince of Darkness, while Vice President J.D. Vance is cast as a groveling aide who offers to rub baby oil on Satan’s nether regions.

The storyline centers on Trump and Noem leading a new wave of ICE agents, including Mr. Mackey, who joins the force after losing his school counselor job.

The episode takes a jab at Trump’s immigration policies, with cartoonish raids targeting characters like Dora the Explorer and even Heaven itself. Noem delivers one of the episode’s most controversial lines: “If it’s Brown, it goes down.”

Meanwhile, Cartman channels right-wing commentator Charlie Kirk, podcasting from a toilet while ranting about far-right politics.

The episode continues South Park’s pattern of mocking Trump’s legal troubles, his administration’s antics and his physical appearance.

White House Spokesperson Slams South Park Over Trump Appearance

The White House didn’t take the satire lightly following Trump’s appearance in the season premiere.

After the Department of Homeland Security’s official account reposted an image from the episode, South Park creators clapped back online with: “Wait, so we ARE relevant?”

That response came after a scathing statement from White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers, who dismissed the show entirely:

“This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”

Rogers doubled down, touting Trump’s record: “President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”

Latto Mocked Online After Failing $2K Donald Trump Riddle Challenge

Latto got more than just a diamond chain during a recent trip to a celebrity jeweler — she also walked away with a viral moment that had social media in stitches after flubbing a riddle about Donald Trump.

During a video posted Monday (August 4), the Atlanta rapper stopped by Jewelry Unlimited to treat herself to a custom piece.

But before she could finalize the purchase, the jeweler tossed her a brain teaser with a $2,000 discount on the line.

“The 45th president of the USA and the 47th president of the USA they both have the same parents. How is that possible?” he asked.

Latto took a moment to put on her glasses before attempting to solve it. “Hold on. These make me smarter,” she joked.

Unfortunately, the eyewear didn’t help.

Visibly puzzled, she rubbed her forehead and rolled her eyes at the mention of “president,” before offering her answer.

“They got the same parents because God made us all, and we all got the same parents,” she said. “Because we’re not on the 47th president yet.”

The jeweler eventually revealed the answer: Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States and now serving again as the 47th.

Latto groaned and replied, “Too bad.”

@jewelryunlimited Latto almost had this question in the bag 😂😂 #latto #jewelryunlimited #foryou #fyp @Big Mama @aminlalani70 ♬ original sound – Jewelry Unlimited Wafi

The clip quickly made the rounds online, with commenters piling on.

“Take them glasses off,” one user wrote. Another added, “Wtf be going on in those Atlanta schools lmao.” A third chimed in, “My crush on Latto is gone.”

Latto Shows Off New Diamond Pendant & Chain

Despite the brain freeze, Latto still walked out with her new bling — a diamond-encrusted “A” pendant paired with a 75-pointer tennis chain. Jewelry Unlimited shared a photo of the piece on Instagram, captioned, “@latto putting on for the city with a clean Atlanta Braves A pendant with 75 pointer tennis chain.”

While the pendant may nod to the Braves, it more likely represents her first name, Alyssa.

Latto revealed the jewelry was a personal gift to commemorate the one-year anniversary of her third studio album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, which dropped on August 9, 2024. The project debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200, matching the peak of her 2023 album 777 and cementing her highest chart position yet.

Eve Reflects On Nicki Minaj’s Encouragement Following Memoir Revelations

Eve said her emotional exchange with Nicki Minaj was the final push she needed to believe she made the right call by opening up about her insecurities in her memoir, especially the chapter about their time filming Barbershop.

During a sit-down with Complex, Eve called the viral moment “another confirmation” that she was right to be honest about her feelings, even if they were uncomfortable.

“I’m so happy that that happened,” she said, reflecting on Nicki’s heartfelt public response.

In the book, Eve admitted she felt insecure when Nicki joined the cast of Barbershop, revealing she debated whether to include that part of her story at all.

Ultimately, she chose transparency, saying insecurities are something everyone faces, “no matter what”.

Minaj’s response came last September in the form of a lengthy and emotional letter.

She praised Eve’s honesty, writing, “You took the game by storm, that there were some ppl who couldn’t hide their insecurities. Even tho it’s swept under the rug now, I remember that you handled it with grace but ALSO a big sprinkle of unapologetic TALENT & charisma. You soared & soared. Classic music w/the illest team, to the BIG SCREEN.”

Nicki Minaj also opened up about her own nerves during filming and admitted she thought Eve didn’t like her at first.

“You looked like a pro & I admired that so much,” she wrote. “Women feel so much pressure to compete & it’s a shame b/c we usually have so much in common & could rlly benefit from one another just as human beings.”

Jeezy Credits Hero Uber Driver For Saving Baltimore Concert After Travel Disaster

Jeezy made it to his Baltimore show with just minutes to spare thanks to a ten-hour Uber ride that turned a travel nightmare into a tour-saving mission.

The Hip-Hop veteran shared the wild journey in an Instagram post on Monday (August 4), detailing how a canceled flight, a busted gas tank and a last-ditch ride-share effort nearly derailed his TM:101 Live tour stop at The Lyric Baltimore.

“Ten hours later, we arrived in Baltimore just ten minutes before showtime!” Jeezy wrote, crediting an Uber driver named Tanner for stepping up when all other options failed.

The chaos began when inclement weather grounded Jeezy’s flights to both Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The team was forced to pivot to a road trip. But two hours into the drive, disaster struck.

“We hit an object on the highway, puncturing the gas tank and causing fuel to leak everywhere,” Jeezy explained. “We pulled over to a small gas station to regroup in SC.”

Attempts to book a private jet were also blocked by bad weather, so the team called an Uber to reach a rental car location. That’s when Tanner entered the picture.

“I assured him that whatever it was, he’d have it,” Jeezy said. “Like real one, he didn’t hesitate and just kept driving.”

Tanner drove Jeezy straight to Baltimore, logging ten hours behind the wheel and arriving just in time for the curtain to rise.

As a thank-you, Jeezy gave him a Snowman t-shirt and brought him backstage as his personal guest.

“Shout out to the real MVP, my Uber driver Tanner! Not all heroes wear capes!” Jeezy wrote alongside a video of him recounting the story onstage.

Dez Bryant Apologizes For Nicki Minaj Feud But She Continues To Flip Out

Dez Bryant hopped back online to clean up the digital drama after his unexpected back-and-forth with Nicki Minaj exploded all over Twitter (X).

The ex-NFL star admitted he lost his cool and said he’s trying to be a better example for the younger crowd watching him.

“I’m not in the sphere of people crashing out on the internet,” he tweeted. “I don’t bother people..I never do. I was just posting about my son. I let the devil win that time…I apologize to the kids who follow me because I care about setting the right example more than you know.”

It didn’t take long for 50 Cent to take notice of Minaj’s response, which was just as savage as the others.

“(This tweet is alleged & for entertainment purposes only),” she began. “As a matter of fact, let me go call President Trump & ask for a pardon like DESIREE PEREZ did. Next, I’ll get into the CASINO stuff. Dez Bryant’s booty hole allegedly LEAKS as AN ADULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Should I start my story times now?!?”

50 wrote in the comment section, “WTF going on here Nikki be blacking out on these people LOL.”

A post shared by 50 Cent (@50cent)

The contentious exchange started after Bryant got into it with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones over contract talk drama from 2015.

Jones dredged up Bryant’s old deal, which was handled by Roc Nation, and used it to explain why he doesn’t mess with agents and prefers to deal directly with players.

Jones claimed JAY-Z and Roc Nation ghosted him during the negotiations and stopped picking up the phone.

Bryant wasn’t feeling that and hopped on social media to fire back, warning Jones to keep his name out his mouth or else he’d start airing out old Cowboys business.

Bryant and Roc Nation both called Jones’ version of events bogus. They said it was Jones who went MIA during the talk—not JAY-Z’s team.

That’s where Nicki Minaj jumped in.

She has been feuding with Roc Nation and took the opportunity to side with Jerry Jones by bringing up Bryant’s 2012 run-in with the law involving his mom—charges that were later tossed.

She also threw out a $10 million dare, offering the cash if Bryant would fight her husband, Kenneth Petty, who’s a registered sex offender from a 1995 conviction.

“I’ll give you 10 million in cash if you’d come & fight him since you BEAT UR OWN MOM,” Minaj posted.

Bryant fired right back, calling out Petty’s criminal history and didn’t mince words.

“Go get that 10 million in cash.. I’ll stomp that n#### out right in front of you.. and it’s ROC for life b####,” he wrote.

Eventually, Bryant hit pause on the chaos and ended on a motivational note.

“I want everybody to stop and think for 5 minutes,” he said. “You can make it through anything if you put your mind to it..no matter how big the battle is..no excuses.”
