Kim Kardashian described her marriage to Kanye West as “toxic” and revealed that his refusal to change forced her to leave the relationship for the sake of her children and her own mental health.

During a revealing conversation on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Kardashian, 44, opened up about the emotional strain of her eight-year marriage to the Hip-Hop artist and entrepreneur. She said the relationship became unsustainable because West wasn’t “willing to make changes” that she believed would improve their lives.

“It makes it really hard to continue on in a relationship that can be toxic,” Kardashian said. “When you have kids, it’s definitely harder to leave than it is to stay. And it changes everyone’s life forever.”

The former couple, who married in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2022, share four children: North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.

Kardashian said she tried to support West through difficult moments, including his public mental health struggles.

“People can say that there was, like, signs and maybe I wasn’t paying attention to them,” she told host Alex Cooper. “And I think when someone has their first, like, mental break, you know, you wanna be super supportive and you wanna, like, help figure that out and you wanna really get into that with them and be there for them.”

But over time, Kardashian said she realized staying in the marriage was taking a toll on her ability to function as a parent.

“Once my mental health starts to get affected and then I can’t parent the way that I need to and I can’t be present and focused, then there’s gotta be one of us that can,” she said. “And I had to save myself in order to be a better mom for everyone. And I think, like, when everyone’s older, they’ll be able to understand it and see that all.”

Since the divorce, Kardashian said she’s approached dating with more intention and clarity. “I do have a problem of only remembering the good,” she said. “I’m a really forgiving person, but I really haven’t dated like that to, like, have those kinds of toxic relationships since I’ve been divorced.”

She added, “I think when you get older, you just don’t tolerate that s**t. You don’t have time.”

Australia’s High Court has upheld the government’s decision to ban right-wing commentator Candace Owens from entering the country.

The ruling comes months after the nation similarly barred rapper Kanye West due to Australia’s strict stance against controversial figures.

Three judges unanimously rejected Owens’ challenge to Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke’s visa denial.

The court cited her past statements about Muslims, Jews, vaccines, and the LGBTQ community as reasons for the ban.

“Inciting discord might be the way some people make money, but it’s not welcome in Australia,” Burke said after the ruling. “Australia’s national interest is best served when Candace Owens is somewhere else.”

The influencer had planned a November 2024 speaking tour but was blocked from entering the country. Owens argued unsuccessfully that her visit was protected by freedom of political communication rights.

Owen’s ban follows a similar decision against Kanye West in July 2025. Australia canceled the rapper’s visa after he released a song titled “Heil Hitler.”

West, who has called himself a Nazi, was deemed to fail the country’s character test.

The connection between Owens and West runs deep. The pair have maintained a close political alliance since 2018. They appeared together wearing “White Lives Matter” shirts at a 2022 fashion show.

West also attempted to purchase Parler, the social media platform where Owens’ husband serves as CEO. Owens has consistently defended West despite his antisemitic statements.

“I will always defend Kanye,” she said in a May 2025 interview, calling him a “friend” and “cultural lightning rod.”

Australia’s Migration Act allows officials to deny entry based on character concerns. The law gives the Home Affairs Minister broad discretion to protect national interests.

New Zealand initially followed Australia’s lead in banning Owens but later overturned its decision. The court ordered Owens to pay legal costs for her unsuccessful challenge.

A spokesman for Owens said she would address the ruling this week. The ban prevents her from entering Australia indefinitely unless the decision is reversed.

Seven people were arrested early Saturday morning after a food order mix-up escalated into a violent brawl at a Whataburger restaurant, according to San Antonio police.

The incident occurred at 3 A.M. on October 5 when two groups of customers began arguing over confused food orders.

What started as a simple misunderstanding quickly spiraled into chaos, with multiple people throwing punches and kicking a man who was knocked to the ground.

Video footage captured by a witness shows a woman punching another woman on the restaurant counter before several men joined the altercation.

The viral video, which has garnered more than 1,000 shares on social media, depicts at least six men attacking one individual who curled into a fetal position on the floor.

The San Antonio Police Department confirmed that officers responded to reports of an assault in progress. All seven suspects were booked for assault causing bodily injury, though no major injuries were reported at the scene.

The conflict began when restaurant staff allegedly told one group of customers that another party “have your food” instead of acknowledging their error with the orders.

“Moments later, those individuals confronted my son and his friends, and within seconds, the situation escalated far beyond a simple misunderstanding — to a violent assault,” said witness Rebecca Noel.

Whataburger, the Texas-based burger chain founded in 1950, issued a statement emphasizing customer and employee safety.

Nicki Minaj flipped the script on her own exit announcement and told her supporters that she’s not walking away from music or shelving her 2026 album.

During an impromptu Twitter Spaces session late Wednesday night (October 15), the Queens-born rapper dismissed her previous claim that she was quitting and reassured her loyal base that she’s still in full control of her career.

“I am the conductor of this train,” she began. “Okay? When I want it to slow down, I slow it down. When I need it to speed up to give everyone a heart attack, I speed it up. But right before everyone thinks they’re about to go ‘Poof!’, I press the brakes. Why? Well, I don’t explain myself to c####, but I’ll explain myself to you. Why is because I can.”

The declaration came just 24 hours after Minaj stunned her followers with a post, claiming she was done with music and canceling her next album. “Ok I’m not going to put out the album anymore, she wrote. “No more music. Hope you’re happy now [JAY-Z]. Bye, Barbz. Love you for life.”

That post followed a string of accusations aimed at JAY-Z and Roc Nation, with Minaj alleging they tried to manipulate her into touring and releasing new music.

“They came BEGGING the QUEEN for a tour & album,’ she claimed. “I said NOPE!!!!! Wanted to patch it up. They needed help from the QUEEN & the BARBZ.”

She also mocked JAY-Z’s failed Times Square casino bid, writing, “It was a resounding NOOOOOOOO… just like the casinooooooooo.”

But by Wednesday night, the tone had shifted. Minaj said she had just written a “beautiful new song” and teased that her next project would be one of her best.

“Just know that I’m very happy with you guys and with the next chapter,” she added. “Nothing is going to stop that. We are in the best musical place I’ve ever been in, ever in my life. And just complete musical clarity.”

She added that the album would rank in the “top two” of her career and described her current creative state as a personal reintroduction.

“I don’t want to say rebirth, but like almost like an introduction to myself when I started. But not talking about the sound, which is normally what people talk about, but the person.”

Minaj also hinted that a global tour is still on the table. When a South African fan joined the Spaces chat and asked about a show in Johannesburg, she replied she’d have her team look into it.

Her remarks come amid a long-running feud with Roc Nation, which she has accused of blacklisting her, using bots against her, and profiting from the TIDAL sale without sharing revenue.

A New York woman is outraged after the Taskrabbit she hired to put up a curtain rod leaves her wall full of holes.

TikTok user ProducHER (@producher_nyc/) posted a video about her experience last week. “Y’all, I hired a Taskrabbit and look what this [expletive] did,” she says to start the video. “Look what he did.”

What Did the Taskrabbit Do to This Woman’s Wall?

The audience doesn’t have to wait long to find out. The TikToker shows off a curtain rod that is barely hanging on with multiple holes in the drywall next to it. A nail is hanging out of one of the holes. “First of all, this is not even sturdy in the wall, “she says, jiggling the rod. “He created multiple holes in my wall. Look at my walls, y’all. And then, also, too, he left some blue marks. He’s like, ‘Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t think it would be a problem.’ What?”

Viewers React to the Taskrabbit’s Handiwork

In the comments section, viewers expressed outrage on ProducHER’s behalf. More than one person said that Taskrabbit should compensate her for the damage. “Refund?! They need to pay you for the damage,” one wrote.

Others joked that they didn’t realize the quality of Taskrabbit work was so low. “You coulda did this,” wrote one person. A second said, “Me if I decided to be a Taskrabbit.”

Some viewers focused the blame on the Taskrabbit himself. “This is appalling,” wrote one person. “This man never used tools in his life. He clearly had no clue what he was doing.”

And another person said this would keep them from using the service in the future. “Welp, this just convinced me to not hire a Taskrabbit to put together my coffee table,” they wrote.

Will Taskrabbit Compensate You For Damages?

Taskrabbit notes on its website that it is not liable for “the acts or omissions of users” and its service does not include insurance coverage. However, the company will cover claims involving property damage, bodily injury, and theft for up to $10,000.

Of course, this “happiness pledge” comes along with fine print. The person submitting the claim can’t have violated the platform’s terms of service or previously submitted a claim related to the same task. The terms also ask that users first try to get the Taskrabbit to resolve the issue and even file a claim with their personal insurance if possible.

In practice, it’s less clear whether consumers benefit from this policy. In a Reddit post to r/TaskRabbit five months ago, a customer complained that the policy didn’t cover damages that occurred after 30 days. While some commenters offered sympathy, others said that’s the risk you run not going with a traditional contracting service.

“I believe that’s the cost we pay when we hire someone cheap from TaskRabbit instead of going with a professional company with insurance,” one said.

The Gathering for Justice, the social justice organization founded by the late Harry Belafonte, celebrated its 20th Anniversary Gala, 20 Years of Impact, last night (Oct. 13) in New York City, honoring some of the most influential voices in activism, art and community building.

Hosted by an uncharacteristically hilarious, rhyme reciting Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, the sold-out evening paid tribute to Belafonte’s enduring legacy and also celebrated two decades of movement-building under the leadership of President and CEO Carmen Perez-Jordan. Jordan is stepping away from her role at the organization. So it was fitting that he event also mobilized support for the organization’s next phase of advocacy centered on racial equality, youth empowerment and systemic reform.

Among the honorees were Desiree Perez, CEO of Roc Nation, who received the Harry Belafonte Social Justice Award; legendary actor and activist Danny Glover, recipient of the Legacy of Justice Award; and Zakiyah Shaakir-Ansari, Co-Executive Director of the Alliance for Quality Education, who accepted the Gathering in Community Award. The latter was a distinction first bestowed upon The Exonerated Five.

This year’s gala coincided with Indigenous Peoples’ Day, symbolizing the organization’s commitment to truth, accountability and inclusion across all communities.

Desiree Perez received a standing ovation after she delivered a stirring acceptance speech that reflected on purpose, perseverance and the legacy of Harry Belafonte.

“When I received this humbling request to accept this award, I was in a moment of questioning my purpose in social justice work,” Perez said. “I was asking myself: Am I truly making a difference? Does my work have any impact? Do people understand my intent — or is it simply not enough? Do I even have the time? Talk about divinity — you saved my spirit.”

She continued, “This isn’t just about a 9-to-5 or raising funds. It’s about everything we do daily… how I run my company, how I conduct business, and the essence and principles behind my choices and words. Everything counts, regardless of its size.”

Perez reflected on her organization’s collaboration with the NFL, the creation of the United Justice Coalition, and her pride in winning an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) alongside the first Black rapper (Kendrick Lamar) to ever headline a Super Bowl halftime show produced by a Black- and Brown-led team.

“Then I learned that Harry Belafonte was the first Black performer to win an Emmy and it was for his variety special, bringing everything full circle for me,” she said. “This work isn’t about being invited to the table or how you get there. It’s much bigger than any one of us. However you show up, as long as you do, we will weaken the walls of injustice.”

Perez closed with a quote from Belafonte that encapsulated the evening’s spirit:

“I’m not quite sure precisely when social and political activism became a visible brand of my DNA, but it seems to me that I was born into it. It is hard to be born into the experience in the world of poverty and not develop some instinct for survival and resistance to those things that oppress you.”

Founded in 2005 after Belafonte witnessed the handcuffing of a five-year-old Black girl in a Florida classroom, The Gathering for Justice continues to unite communities, influence policy, and hold law enforcement accountable. Through mentorship and strategic advocacy, the organization empowers youth to become agents of change in their own communities.

“Our work is rooted in the belief that we must act collectively to influence change and hold institutions accountable,” Perez-Jordan said. “From mobilizing young people to challenging inequities in the justice system, our movement continues to honor Mr. Belafonte’s vision of justice grounded in love, courage, and unity.”

Despite ongoing challenges, from funding cuts to political intimidation, The Gathering for Justice remains steadfast. As Perez-Jordan emphasized, “In these moments of uncertainty, we do what we know best: we fight back.”

Rod Wave Responds to Lawsuit With Bribery Allegations

Rod Wave is pushing back against a $27 million lawsuit by accusing concert promoter Grizzly Touring of bribery, breach of contract and mismanagement tied to his 2024 “Last Lap” tour. The Florida-based rapper, whose legal name is Rodarius Green, filed a formal response in court denying all claims and alleging the promoter tried to manipulate him into what he described as “indentured servitude.”

At the core of the dispute is a failed arena tour deal that collapsed after Wave canceled 9 of the 35 scheduled shows. Grizzly claims it advanced more than $57 million to cover the tour’s costs, including a $40.25 million guarantee to the rapper. The company says it’s now owed over $27 million in damages.

“Rod Wave refuses to pay Grizzly a single penny of the more than $27 million he owes,” Grizzly’s attorney Pravin Patel said in court documents, as reported by AllHipHop.

Promoter Claims Tour Losses and Contract Violations

Grizzly Touring alleges that Rod Wave used a portion of the advance to fund luxury purchases, including real estate and private flights, while failing to fulfill his full tour obligations. The company also accuses Wave of violating an exclusivity clause by announcing new solo performances through his own company, Hit House Entertainment, which they say directly breached their agreement.

In addition to seeking financial damages, Grizzly wants a court order to prevent Wave from launching future tours without their involvement.

Rod Wave Says Promoter Sabotaged Tour

Rod Wave’s legal team paints a different picture. In his filing, the rapper says Grizzly and its production partner, 360 Production, rescheduled shows without his input, leading to logistical issues and harming his reputation. He argues that those decisions—not his cancellations—caused the tour to unravel.

He also disputes the $27 million figure, stating it’s inflated and not supported by the contract. According to his side, he earned nearly $30 million from the shows he did perform and has no obligation to return unused funds.

Wave further argues that the exclusivity and “right of first refusal” clauses in the agreement are legally unenforceable under Florida law, especially since Grizzly allegedly failed to meet its responsibilities.

Bribery Claim at Center of Legal Counterattack

The most serious charge in Rod Wave’s response involves an alleged bribery attempt. He claims Grizzly tried to sneak unauthorized terms into the contract by offering secret payments to his agent. According to the filing, that effort failed, and the current lawsuit is retaliation for his refusal to accept the altered terms.

Wave and Hit House Entertainment are now asking the court to void the contract entirely and eliminate any remaining obligations tied to the failed tour.
