Hunter Biden has been making the media rounds lately, and many of the former first son’s comments have generated headlines.
Just yesterday, Hunter revealed that his father, Joe Biden, would visit him with a Secret Service motorcade when he was in the lowest depths of his crack addiction.
Hunter has developed a reputation for radical honesty, but following his revelation that he’s “48.6 percent gay,” the internet is divided on whether he was genuinely coming out or just cracking a joke.

The revelation took place during Biden’s recent appearance on Luke Beasley’s popular podcast.
“Let’s get serious. I am gay,” Beasley told Biden, who sarcastically replied, “Really? Wow. Seriously. I’m so amazed you’re gay.”
“Are you gay?” Besaley asked, to which Biden replied, “Only a little bit.”
Hunter elaborated, explaining that he thinks of himself as “more or less than 50 percent” gay.
“If you were gay, would I be your type?” Beasley asked.
“No, a little bit more masculine would be my type, if I was gay,” Biden jokingly replied.
Hunter later brought the conversation back around to what he called “the gay question.”
“Maybe I take back 48.5. More like 47 after that conversation. My gaydom went down a percentage point,” he said.
“I just wanted to let you know that I am back up to 48.5 percent gay.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Biden made remarks (including “Is this fucking serious?”)
Biden was married to Kathleen Buhle from 1993 to 2017, with whom he shares daughters Naomi, Finnegan, and Maisy.
He married current wife Melissa Cohen in 2019, with whom he welcomed a son named Beau Biden Jr.
He also has a daughter by former partner Lunden Roberts, named Navy Joan Roberts.
So Biden has never previously given any public indication of bisexuality.
But then again, he’s been speaking more candidly than ever in recent months, opening up about aspects of his life that he’s never spoken of before.
So it’s possible that Hunter only now feels comfortable enough to open up about his sexuality.
Of course, given the context, it’s equally possible that he was just joking.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter either way. But you can be sure that that won’t prevent social media users from obsessing over these remarks.

After more than 17 hours of deliberation, the jury in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial told the judge on Tuesday that they are officially deadlocked.
On social media, the situation has sparked widespread discourse, with the central question being: What comes next?
The answer, like every other aspect of this trial, is quite complicated.
The controversy began when the 12-person jury told Plymouth Superior Court Judge William Sullivan that they were unable to reach a unanimous verdict in the closely watched murder trial.
Rather than sending the jurors home, however, Sullivan instructed them to head back into the deliberation room and keep working.
“I know that this was a long trial,” the judge told the panel (via People), pointing to the more than 80 witnesses and 300-plus exhibits presented during the proceedings.
Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse, has admitted to killing her three children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan — at the family’s Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023.
The question before the jury has never really been whether Clancy was responsible for the physical acts.
Instead, jurors must determine whether she was legally responsible for them.
Clancy has pleaded not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility. Her defense has argued that she was experiencing severe postpartum psychosis at the time of the killings and had become detached from reality.
Clancy’s attorneys have maintained that she was hearing voices and believed she needed to kill her children before attempting to take her own life.

They have also argued that she was failed by a mental health system that did not adequately recognize or treat the severity of her condition.
Prosecutors have offered a very different interpretation.
While acknowledging that Clancy struggled with significant mental health issues, they have argued that she knew exactly what she was doing and deliberately planned the killings. Prosecutors have pointed to her actions before and after the deaths as evidence that she understood the consequences of what she was doing.
The jury began deliberating Thursday, following weeks of testimony and closing arguments.
The panel — made up of nine women and three men — has already requested to review several pieces of evidence, including prescription medication bottles and the bloody knife Clancy used during her subsequent suicide attempt.
Now, the jurors have essentially told the judge that they’re stuck. That doesn’t necessarily mean the trial is over.
For now, Sullivan has ordered them to continue deliberating. If the jury ultimately cannot reach a unanimous decision, the judge could declare a mistrial, potentially opening the door for prosecutors to retry the case.
For Clancy, meanwhile, the agonizing wait continues.
After nearly four years of legal proceedings surrounding the deaths of her three children, there is still no answer to the question that has consumed this case from the beginning: How should the law hold a severely mentally ill mother accountable for an unimaginable act?
We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.

We all know that Doja Cat is not shy about speaking her mind.
But even her most diehard fans might be surprised by Ms. Cat’s brutal honesty in her latest social media posts.
The Grammy-winning artist opened up about her past struggles with cocaine, alcohol, mental health, and social media in a series of remarkably candid TikTok videos this week.
And while Doja made it clear that she has moved past some of those issues, she admitted that alcohol remains something she has a complicated relationship with.

“I’m going to make a disclaimer that I don’t want to make,” she said in one video. “I have struggled with cocaine — could’ve been like eight years ago.”
“But I’m well past that. Thank God,” she added.
Doja emphasized that she never considered herself someone who had a serious drug problem, aside from marijuana.
Alcohol, however, was a different story.
“I’ve never had a real problem with drugs, except for weed, but alcohol is something that I definitely have had a problem with,” she explained.
Doja said drinking could fuel negative thoughts that she would then turn to the internet to validate.
“The best example for my experience is using the internet as a means of validation to the negative thoughts in my head, which were then brought on by drinking alcohol,” she said.
“I was never an alcoholic, but I definitely had problems,” she continued, warning that combining alcohol, social media, and unresolved mental health struggles can be particularly destructive.
Doja also addressed another deeply personal subject: accusations that she hates herself or has rejected her Black identity.
The singer and rapper, who is biracial, said she believes those feelings date back to childhood, when she moved to a predominantly white neighborhood at around age 8.
“I think I hated myself since I was — could have been like 8 years old,” she said.
Doja previously revealed in March that she had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and said she had spent years in therapy working through what she described as an “agonizing condition.”
Now, she appears determined to be more open about the experiences that shaped her.
In another TikTok, Doja pushed back against accusations that she is racist, a white supremacist, or a Nazi, insisting that she does not hate herself.
Ultimately, she said she simply felt it was time to speak her truth.
“I just felt like this TikTok was necessary,” Doja said.
“And I need to get this s–t off of my chest. Today felt like the right day.”
Considering how much of Doja’s life has played out under the microscope of the internet, it’s understandable that she might finally want to take control of the narrative herself.
And we applaud her for doing so.

Back in July, Tony Romo was arrested on OWI charges while driving home from a golf course in his home state of Wisconsin.
Romo is now on leave from CBS, and he will not be in the broadcast booth when the NFL returns for Week 1.
The former Cowboys QB has now broken his silence on the arrest after pleading no contest to the charges against him.

On Tuesday, Romo took to social media to share a lengthy statement in which he admitted that injuries sustained on the field led to a dependence on prescription painkillers and later an “over-reliance” on alcohol.
“Football has shaped nearly every meaningful part of my life. I played for more than 20 years, including 14 in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. After my retirement, CBS gave me the profound honor of staying close to the game through broadcasting,” he began adding:
“Playing taught me the power of relationships, the strength of a team, and the toughness to face failure head-on with honesty, resilience, and the determination to do better.
“This is one of those moments when I am leaning on everything football taught me. This morning, I faced a recent personal failure by pleading no contest to a civil offense for OWI in Wisconsin. I own this completely.”
Romo went on to explain that the back surgeries that prematurely ended his career have also complicated his retirement from the game.
“Multiple back surgeries ended my career earlier than I expected and left me with constant, debilitating pain. That pain led to a dependence on pain medication, and my efforts to get off those medications led to an over-reliance on alcohol,” he wrote, adding:
“As I have taught my three young sons: when you fall short, you stand up and take full responsibility. That is an important first step. The harder and more important step is examining the path that brought you here and making the changes necessary to move forward.
“That path requires honesty. None of this is an excuse. These are my failures, and I take responsibility for them.”
Romo concluded by assuring fans that the past month has been a period of profound growth, and he intends to emerge from this incident a better man.
“The past month has been difficult, but it has also been personally significant. It has required me to confront and own my mistakes fully—to the Lord, to myself, to my family, and now to the public,” he wrote.
“I am working closely with a team of doctors to address my health and make the necessary changes. I am deeply grateful for the support of my family, my friends, and the NFL community including players, coaches, and owners. Your encouragement has meant more to me than you know.
“As I turn my attention to my health, my family, and, in time, my return to CBS, I kindly ask for privacy during this period.”
We wish Tony and his family the best as they seek to move on from this setback.

Music icon and grandfather Lionel Richie is in the ICU.
The singer was hospitalized over the weekend after falling ill during a concert.
It was not his first time in the hospital this summer.
Was Saturday his final concert?

On Saturday, August 29, Lionel Richie performed at The Muny in Forest Park.
Following that evening’s St. Louis performance, TMZ reports, Richie checked himself in to a local hospital.
He reportedly sought to have tests run after not feeling well.
How, he is apparently in the intensive care unit (ICU).
What was wrong?
According to TMZ‘s sources, the legendary singer is in the ICU out of an abundance of caution.
Doctors are looking into what may be as minor as dehydration.
His hope, the report says, is for the hospital to discharge him on Tuesday, September 1.
We certainly share that hope. And so do his fans.
If it is dehydration, he still did the right thing by seeking medical attention. If you can afford healthcare, it’s better safe than sorry.
TMZ‘s report also includes information gleaned from attendees at the St. Louis concert.
Lionel Richie was reportedly “struggling a bit” as the show neared its conclusion.
At one point, he even reportedly asked his team to bring a chair out onto the stage.
The chair allowed him to sit (obviously) as he performed “All Night Long,” his final song of the night.
Performing is exhausting and some songs just fit the vibe better if the singer is seated. However, in light of his hospitalization a short time later, perhaps he was already experiencing symptoms.
If you’re unsure why Richie is being so cautious with his health, well, there’ some precedent.
In June, the music icon ended up rushing to the hospital via ambulance in St. Paul.
He was performing at a concert there, too, when he told the audience that he felt “dizzy” and “strange.”
That time, the show ended abruptly, and paramedics met him backstage.
We hope that all is well. We hope that it is dehydration and not some dire illness — or a strange allergy to cities with “Saint” in the name.

After 7 years, The Kelly Clarkson Show is saying goodbye.
The eponymous host signed off, bringing her kids onto the stage to bid farewell to the daytime talk show.
Clarkson performed plenty of songs — her own hits as well as long-requested covers.
She thanked all of the people who helped to make the show possible, including the viewers at home.

Monday, August 31, was the end of an era.
“My kiddos have always come first, they’re a big reason I did this show, just [for] the stability, the schedule,” Kelly Clarkson told the audience.
12-year-old daughter, River, and 10-year-old son, Remington, both sat in the audience.
“They’re also a big reason it’s time to say goodbye,” Clarkson added.
Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, passed away in August of 2025. Since then, her family’s life has changed its trajectory — and her priorities have, understandably, shifted.
“I’m such a proud mama,” Clarkson described during the finale.
She praised: “They’re the greatest kiddos in the world.”
Highlighting how much time has passed, Clarkson recalled: “When we started, River was in kindergarten.”
She continued: “She’s now about to be in middle school, which is crazy.”
Clarkson added: “My son, Remington, he had his singing debut on stage with [a] Frank Sinatra [song, ‘My Way’].”
“I want to thank everyone on our staff and crew, my band, the viewers and every single guest who joined us on the show,” Kelly Clarkson expressed.
“For seven years,” she acknowledged, “I’ve ended each episode by saying, ‘Have a great day. And if it’s not, change it.’”
Clarkson explained: “I say that because while we have to accept that life is totally out of our control, each moment truly depends on how we choose to respond and react to it.”
It is certainly true that we cannot control the world or others. We can control our reactions — and our actions.
She then quoted: “‘You don’t have to attend the negative party you’ve been invited to,’ I’ve been told by a therapist.”
Clarkson gushed to viewers that she “loved being in your homes each day.”
She added that she “loved seeing my kiddos grow up on this show.”
Clarkson expressed: “I have immeasurable gratitude for everyone here.”
She gushed: “Thank you so much. This has been an incredible opportunity.”
Clarkson certainly has her critics, but that was a solid sendoff, acknowledging the role of many who worked together to make the series run for seven years.

The Lindsay Clancy murder trial came to a close last week, and jurors began their fourth day of deliberation this morning.
And as the millions await the outcome with bated breath, Clancy continues to receive words of encouragement from her sizable army of supporters.
As the wait for a verdict continued, Clancy’s attorney revealed Monday that the Massachusetts mother has received a deluge of mail from people who believe her story is far more complicated than the horrific deaths of her three children might suggest.

According to defense attorney Kevin Reddington, Clancy has received enough letters from supporters to fill three banker boxes.
And Reddington says Clancy reads every single one.
“She knows there are people out there that have not judged her,” Reddington told reporters (via NBC News), explaining that the letters have provided his client with emotional support while she waits to learn her fate.
That support is hardly a new development.
Back in 2023, shortly after Clancy was accused of killing her three children, dozens of friends, coworkers and even complete strangers sent letters to her defense attorney.
The correspondence painted a dramatically different picture of Clancy than the one presented by prosecutors.
Former colleagues described her as a loving mother and dedicated labor and delivery nurse.
One coworker wrote, “I do not know a better mother than Lindsay Clancy,” adding that she “lived and breathed for her children.”
Another described Clancy as “kind, compassionate, patient, empathetic” and devoted to her family. And then there were the mothers who didn’t even know Clancy personally.
Nearly 100 women signed a letter expressing sympathy for what they believed was her struggle with postpartum mental illness. Many said they could relate to the despair and psychological difficulties that can follow childbirth.
“We want to stand by her in her darkest hour,” the mothers wrote.
Other letters came from people around the country and even internationally, with some sharing their own experiences with postpartum mental illness and expressing concern about the treatment Clancy received before the killings.
Those letters have become particularly significant to the defense as Reddington argues that Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis when she killed 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan.
Now, more than three years after the children’s deaths, the support continues to arrive.
Clancy remains nervous and “scared” as the jury deliberates, according to her attorney. But she apparently has plenty of reminders that there are people who believe the woman on trial cannot be reduced to the worst act of her life.
As a nation looks on, the jury could deliver a verdict at any moment.
We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.
