This spring, Kendra Caldwell reportedly “cut off” contact with her parents.
Now, Joseph Duggar’s in-laws are giving a deposition in his child molestation case in Florida.
It seems doubtful that anything that the Caldwells have to say will be flattering towards Joseph.
They reportedly lost their home as a direct result of aiding in turning him in. Now, they’re also losing their daughter to the Duggar family cult.
Is the Caldwell deposition going to help Joseph’s case?
On Monday, July 20, Us Weekly got a hold of court records showing that Christina and Paul Caldwell will provide a deposition at the office of the Florida state attorney.
According to the documents, the deposition can then be used “at trial, and/or for such other purposes as are allowed by law.”
Interestingly, the deposition will be provided to Joseph’s attorney.
It is widely rumored that the Caldwell’s played some role in turning in Joseph to authorities, though that remains unconfirmed.
Given everything that we do know, however, it seems likely that this will be a contentious, if not downright hostile, deposition.
In 2020, Joseph — in the midst of the early months of a deadly pandemic, no less — went on a family vacation to Florida.
During that vacation, he allegedly molested a 9-year-old girl repeatedly, making excuses to sit beside her in order to touch her body, including her genitals.
In March of 2026, the now teenage victim’s father called Joseph to confront him. He reportedly confessed, and confessed for a second time to a detective.
Days before the start of spring, Joseph was arrested on charges of committing lewd and lascivious acts.
Despite initially appearing remorseful and reports of multiple confessions, he has since entered a plea of “not guilty.” No one’s sure what that’s about just yet.
‘She is brainwashed’
Initially, it seemed that Kendra was keeping Joseph at a distance while prioritizing herself and their kids.
That quickly changed. She seems to have sided with Joseph, even at the expense of the relationship with her parents.
“I don’t know if it’s fear or naivete, but Kendra has totally sided with the Duggars and not her family,” a source told Us Weekly earlier this year.
The insider bluntly summarized: “She is brainwashed.”
That might not be a nice thing to say, but we’re talking about members of a pernicious cult. It’s accurate.
By May of this year, reports said that Kendra was no longer speaking to her family.
They had been seemingly given the boot from their home from their home due to this conflict with the Duggars.
Insiders have claimed that the victim (who is, again, a child even now) is close to the Caldwells.
When Josh was first exposed as a monster, the Duggars circled the wagons. Some even claimed that this was some sort of spiritual attack against their family.
It appears that some in the Duggar family believe that to be the case again. That seems to include Kendra.
While it is no doubt frightening to believe that there is an evil spiritual force that wants you, personally, harmed, it is not real. But as long as the Duggars believe that the devil is out to get them, they are easier to control.

We may not understand all of Aaron Rodgers’ decisions.
For example, we can’t fathom why a 42-year-old multimillionaire would risk life and limb to return for a final season with the freakin’ Pittsburgh Steelers.
But finally setting aside old grudges to reunite with his aging parents? Now that’s a choice that makes perfect sense.
Yes, Rodgers’ feud with his family is the stuff of legend, and it’s been raging for years.
But on Monday, the legendary quarterback revealed that he has reunited with members of his clan this week, sharing a series of photos on Instagram that quickly caught the attention of fans.
Aaron posted three pictures from what looked to be a family gathering, including separate shots with his mother, Darla Rodgers, his father, Ed Rodgers, and his brother Luke Rodgers.
“Another bonding week #fam,” the four-time NFL MVP captioned the post.
The images mark a dramatic turn in one of the NFL’s most talked-about family rifts.
Rodgers has been publicly estranged from his parents and brothers for more than a decade.
The fractured relationship first became widely known in 2016 when his younger brother, Jordan Rodgers, appeared on The Bachelorette and acknowledged the family’s distance from the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
Aaron later addressed the situation in Netflix’s 2024 documentary Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, where he opened up about the factors that contributed to the split.
“I grew up in a very white, dogmatic church and that just didn’t really serve me,” Rodgers said in the series (via NBC Sports).
He described the environment as “very rigid in structure” and said he gradually distanced himself from those beliefs while he was still in high school.
“Shame, guilt, judgment. It was like, ‘We have the truth. Our way or the highway. Our way is heaven; your way is hell,’” Rodgers recalled.
The QB also suggested that public comments from family members made the situation even more difficult.
“If you look at the saga with my family, for years it was one-sided,” Rodgers said. “They were making shots in the media saying bullshit. I never said anything until it got to the point where I’m like, ‘All right, enough is enough.’”
While the latest photos suggest Rodgers has repaired his relationships with at least some members of his family, one notable face was missing.
Jordan Rodgers did not appear in any of the images shared on Instagram, leaving it unclear whether the reconciliation extends to all of Aaron’s relatives.
Still, after years of speculation and public discussion surrounding the family’s fractured relationship, Aaron’s latest post appears to signal that at least part of the long-running feud has finally come to an end.

Jeana Keough was one of the OGs of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
She and Tamra Judge even had a drink-flinging incident when such things were largely a new concept for reality TV.
Now, she is battling a cancer diagnosis.
Though the cancer has spread and the treatments are taking their toll, she’s staying strong.

It was recently revealed that Jeana is battling against tongue cancer.
Her son, Shane, told Us Weekly on Monday, July 20 that “she’s strong through this.”
He affirmed: “She’s got a good support network down there.”
Though Shane lives in Florida, which is tied with southernmost Texas for being as far south as one can get in the continental US, he is referring to Jeana’s community in Southern California.
“Colton, our younger brother, is there,” Shane detailed.
“So she’s on the right path,” Shane assessed.
“But you know, it’s tough for everybody,” he acknowledged about his mother’s diagnosis.
“And we’re just trying to make sure she stays on her program,” Shane continued.
He explains that this is “so she’s strong when this is done.”
Shane isn’t the only one who feels optimistic about his mom’s chances.
The life-saving treatments are so hard on her
Kara, Shane’s sister, is also sounding confident about Jeana’s prognosis.
“I think she’ll get cancer to bend to her will,” she suggested.
Kara half-joked: “like she does with everything else in life.”
She then affirmed: “We’re choosing to stay in that mindset.”
Like Shane, Kara also dwells in Florida.
Jeana’s cancer journey began months ago, when she discovered a painful spot on her tongue. It was not, as the family first assumed, friction from a tooth.
Only after she went in for testing and got a biopsy were doctors able to confirm that she had “squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue.”
Since the diagnosis, Jeana has undergone surgeries to remove both the cancer and select lymph nodes.
However, the doctors observed that the cancer had already spread. As her GoFundMe notes, she has gone through weeks of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy.
