In early February, former New York Jets linebacker Darron Lee was arrested for first-degree murder following the death of his girlfriend, Gabriella Carvalho Perpetuo
The 31-year-old allegedly told police that Perpetuo was a narcoleptic who died after falling asleep and falling in the shower.
After examining the “horrific injuries,” including puncture wounds that killed Perpetuo, Lee was taken into custody.
He’s currently awaiting trial, and newly released transcripts from his ChatGPT history are unlikely to help his case.
“Don’t know what to do right now. Fiancee [sic] did her crazy thing again, and now she’s messed up, I wake up and she has two swollen eyes (i didn’t do anything, self inflicted). She stabbed herself, slit her eye? Idk but she isn’t waking up or responding, what do I do?” Lee allegedly wrote after the murder.
“Got it. Here’s exactly what [redacted] is the safest way to handle it without framing it as ‘police trouble,’” the bot responded, according to Chattanooga news outlet WDEF.
“Yeah — it can happen, but there’s [redacted] to make. Can a slip-and-fall cause puncture wounds? Lee allegedly asked
“Yes, but usually only under specific conditions,” the bot replied.
“I can help you sanity-check whether it lines up with a slip-and-fall or if it’s something that should be evaluated ASAP,” she bot offered
According to District Attorney Coty Wam Lee used ChatGPT as a “legal advisor.”
“He has conversations, dozens of conversations, back and forth with ChatGPT over a two-day period about what he did to Gabriella Perpetua in detail,” Wamp said.
“He asks how to cover it up. He asks what to say to 911.”
“She wasn’t saying anything, and that’s when I called 911 immediately, and I was like what is going on… I was asleep for a long time,” Lee told officers in a video shown during his arraignment hearing.
According to Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Brian Lockhart, the house was “covered in blood” when police arrived.
“There was blood going up the staircase, on the hand railing there was blood, on the walls there was blood, on the floor in the living room there was blood, in the floor on the hallway and the stairs,” he expleined.

You don’t want to go to a pool party if you don’t swim.
By extension, a “demonic” S&M sex party doesn’t sound like a great fit for Candace Cameron Bure.
She’s explaining the way that she accidentally attended one, not realizing what it was until she arrived.
We get the S&M bit. How do the demons factor into it?

On the Tuesday, March 10 episode of the Candace Cameron Bure Podcast, the eponymous host shared an unexpected experience.
She and her husband, Valeri Bure, one attended an “S&M sex thing,” she claimed.
It was an event “that ended up being so dark and demonic,” she claimed.
To be clear, attending the event was apparently an accident or misunderstanding.
Cameron Bure characterized the experience as a ‘weird, embarrassing moment.”
“Although I shouldn’t say embarrassing for me,” she then rambled.
Cameron Bure continued: “They were more shameful of going to places where I thought, like, ‘Oh, this person’s a friend, and I’m going to be cool and do this.’”
We’re not totally sure on what she was going with that.
She narrated: “We walked in [to the sex party], and my eyeballs were popping out of my head.”
Apparently, this astonishment was “because I saw stuff I’ve never seen before in my life.”
‘It was just so slimy and weird’
“I’m looking at Val, going like, ‘How are we here? What is happening?’” Cameron Bure recalled.
“We made a hard U-turn and walked right out of there,” she described.
Cameron Bure then trashed the party, claiming: “It just was so slimy and weird.”
Apparently, she and her husband promised to “pause” before accepting future invites from the friend in question.
“We just had no idea what we were walking into,” Cameron Bure explained. She then disparaged: “And it was so disgusting and gross.”
The former The View antagonist is not the first public figure to accidentally attend a sex party.
It is embarrassing. And though a reasonable degree of discretion makes sense, it is a failure on the part of the host (or at least, the person handing out the invite) — as it would for any party miscommunication.
If you can’t swim or don’t own swimwear, a pool or lake party might suck. And you would want to be prepared, in more ways than one, for a sex party.
However, we have to point out that you can accidentally attend a sex party and leave without disparaging the party or the party guests. Cameron Bure is being rude, for no reason, in this video. (Compare her story to Matt Mercer’s anecdote, for example.)
Additionally, it’s unclear how much of an “S&M” sex party it really was. Would someone with Cameron Bure’s background know the difference between a party with casual nudity, a sexy party, and a true BDSM scene?
What does she mean about, um, demons?
When Cameron Bure refers to the party as “demonic,” it is easy to imagine some sort of high-production value setting where people are having a bondage-heavy orgy before a demonic altar.
That’s pretty unlikely. It’s unlikely because this is real life, and also because even if that were the sort of thing that happens in reality, she’d be an unlikely invite.
Instead, it seems more likely that Cameron Bure — who has claimed that watching horror films can open “portals” into one’s home — simply believes that a sex party is inherently demonic, or that demons somehow orchestrated the event or would feel drawn to it.
As we have noted in our coverage of the Duggar fundamentalist cult, it must be terrifying to believe that you live in a world where beings of pure evil are plotting your demise.
We are unsure of what we, or anyone, could tell Cameron Bure in order to reassure her.

When former Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright ended their marriage, the news didn’t exactly come as a shock.
After all, the relationship was marred by frequent instances of infidelity and booze- and drug-fueled outbursts.
Thankfully, after years of legal wrangling, it now looks as though Jax and Brittany have prioritized the needs of their 4-year-old son, Cruz.
Not only have they hammered out a custody deal, they’ve also agreed to limit the kid’s exposure to their hard-partying lifestyle.
Yes, according to a new report from TMZ, Jax and Brittany have agreed to a shared custody agreement that would have Cruz staying with Jax every other weekend and every Wednesday night.
So as expected, Brittany will have the kid the vast majority of the time.
But perhaps the most significant part of this arrangement is the fact that both parties have agreed to abstain from alcohol and drugs while Cruz is under their care.
Both parties have also agreed not to speak about one another negatively in front of Cruz and to wait six months before introducing him to any new romantic partners that may have entered their lives.
Brittany and Jax got married in 2019 after dating on and off for 4 years but split in 2024.
Cartwright filed for divorce in 2024 while Jax was in a mental healthcare facility, receiving treatment for PTSD and other mental health issues.
Jax has stated that he used substances to self-medicate, but they only made his issues worse.
So it makes sense that Brittany would want him to steer clear of the booze and whatnot while Cruz is under his care.
Brittany also agreed to abstain while she’s on mom duty, but that might have just been a ploy to get Jax to go along with the deal.
After all, she’s never battled any major addiction issues like he has (that we know of), but she did enjoy turning up quite a bit in her Vanderpump days.
As for the financial aspects of the split, it seems that neither party will be receiving alimony or child support.
Both Jax and Brittany were earning roughly the same amount as veteran Bravo stars at the time of their split.
And now that they’ve both been cut loose in favor of a younger cast, there might not be a whole lot of cash to fight over!

It has been mere weeks since the passing of James Van Der Beek.
All eyes are on his former Dawson’s Creek co-stars as they find the words to express this sense of loss.
This time, it’s Pacey’s turn.
Actor Joshua Jackson is speaking out, sharing how being a father shapes how he views the Van Der Beek family’s grief.
‘The process is ongoing’
On Tuesday, March 10, Joshua Jackson appeared on the Today show.
Naturally, the conversation immediately turned to the loss of James Van Der Beek.
Jackson shared how his personal grief “hits in a variety of different ways.”
He explained: “For me as a father now, the enormity of that tragedy for his family hits me in a very different way than just as a colleague.”
Jackson then assessed: “So I think the process is ongoing.”
When he died, Van Der Beek left behind a widow and six children.
The range of ages meant that discussing his cancer battle with his kids required very different approaches.
Little kids and teens — and everyone in between — processes grief and understands mortality a little differently.
Just this past weekend, the late actor’s 9-year-old daughter posted an emotional tribute to her late father.
That’s a lot. And, to a fellow father like Jackson, it’s impossible to miss what an “enormous” loss this is.
‘He was a good man’
“I think he did lead a good life,” Jackson assessed.
“And,” he praised, “he was a good man.”
Many people who pass away are hailed as good, even when the claim is categorically false.
But, when it comes to Van Der Beek, his family is mourning him, his former coworkers are singing his praises, and his fans are beside themselves.
He was, by all accounts, a genuinely great guy.
In addition to directly honoring Van Der Beek, Jackson also participated in a helpful PSA.
Given that he played a doctor on Doctor Odyssey (truly an unsung gem of television), he stepped into a doctor’s costume alongside Gritty, who is essentially the genius loci of Philadelphia.
The PSA was to encourage men of a certain age — younger Gen Xers, most specifically, but really anyone in their forties — to undergo cancer screenings.
Prostate health can be a tricky topic for men, especially in a society that encourages men to eschew healthcare and to never let anyone touch their butts.
Jackson knows that it’s a tricky topic. But the PSA is a handy reminder — and not only for prostate cancer. Van Der Beek died of colorectal cancer, an often-lethal and expensive cancer.
No one should feel forced to speak out before they are ready
Many of us loved Van Der Beek for his acting roles — from Dawson’s Creek to Don’t Trust The B to Varsity Blues and The Rules of Attraction.
(Seriously, he knocked it out of the park on Don’t Trust The B, portraying a satirized version of himself.)
But Jackson knew him personally.
They were actually roommates in Wilmington while they started filming Dawson’s Creek.
It must be extraordinarily painful for actors who knew Van Der Beek to have to discuss his passing publicly or be branded as heartless.
We hope that they know that, for most of us, they can take their time and guard their privacy as they process this loss.

90 Day Fiance alum Leida Margaretha is likely looking at criminal charges in the near future.
The medical examiner ruled that 1-month-old baby Alisa’s death was “non-accidental.”
Eric Rosenbrook says that he — and the private medical examiner he hired — believe otherwise.
He’s ranting about CPS, about the local department of Health and Human Services, and claiming that Leida’s innocent.
Leida has exactly one person in her corner
Former 90 Day Fiance villains Eric and Leida are pushing back at claims that they — or, more likely, Leida — are responsible for the death of 5-week-old Alisa.
Speaking to TMZ, Eric says that he has hired an independent medical examiner to review the autopsy.
According to Eric, his alleged expert disparaged the autopsy for omitting certain steps.
For example, he argued that the report did not delineate the age of one of the bone fractures that the 5-month-old had.
A bone fracture could have occurred during Alisa’s birth, Eric said, just five weeks before her death. She was born via C-section.
An additional rib fracture, Eric suggested, might have happened during CPR attempts.
Eric claimed that the Adams County sheriff’s department has not found the evidence to blame Leida for Alisa’s death.
He has a lot to say about the county’s Health and Human Services department. 90 Day Fiance fans who remember his rants on and off screen will not be surprised by his comments.
Like many bad parents before him, Eric blasted CPS, claiming that the agency is “the definition of fascism.” Not if words mean things, it isn’t.
“As far as CPS goes,” Eric complained, “they’re a hammer and every parent is a nail.”
No one has actually been arrested or charged in Alisa’s death
Just for the record, the investigation into Alisa’s death is ongoing.
No criminal charges have been filed — yet.
(Yes, Leida has been charged with numerous felonies, but these are apparently unrelated. Eric was also charged with domestic violence last summer. Lovely people, Eric and Leida.)
Leida has denied all wrongdoing regarding Alisa’s tragic death.
And, though the two were apparently separated at the time, Eric confirmed to TMZ that he and Leida are still married.
We of course have not reviewed the evidence in the heartbreaking death of baby Alisa.
It is certainly true that there have been incidents where parents were falsely accused of wrongdoing when their child — especially an infant — suddenly died.
However, we can also acknowledge that it is much more common for children to die at the hands of those who are supposed to love and care for them.
Meanwhile, the medical examiner concluded that the baby’s death was non-accidental. HHS concluded that there was a preponderance of evidence of wrongdoing on Leida’s part.
We don’t know what happened, except that something terrible took place. At the very least, a baby died.
The ’90 Day Fiance’ baggage is not going to help in this case
Leida and Eric appeared on 90 Day Fiance during one of its biggest years.
They did not endear themselves to viewers. Kicking out Eric’s teenage daughter, Tasha, was a vicious move.
Their antics since then, on the Tell All special and on social media, have only made them look worse.
If this goes to trial, prosecutors and defense attorneys are going to face a challenge in the voir dire process as they search for jurors who don’t already know enough about Leida to hate her.
That said, it’s likely the jurors would hear a list of new reasons to hate her. If this goes to trial.
That remains up in the air — which is clearly why Eric is attempting to cast doubt upon the medical examiner’s findings at this stage.

Back in December of 2025, Rob and Michele Reiner were found stabbed to death in their home in Brentwood, California.
Their son Nick Reiner was arrested for their murders and is currently awaiting trial.
Just hours before the murders, the Reiners attended a holiday party thrown by their friend and neighbor Conan O’Brien.
The party was to serve as a fun conclusion to a painful year, with many of the attendees having lost their homes in the wildfires that swept Southern California in January of 2025.
Instead, the gathering took a disturbing turn when Nick began loudly arguing with his father.
Nick is still awaiting trial, but police and prosecutors believe he brutally murdered his parents later that same night.
Now, Conan is speaking out about the tragedy for the first time.
“Very simply, we had a party, we invited our really good friends and then, the next day, this terrible thing happened,” O’Brien said in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
“Whatever difficulties my wife and I have experienced having our name attached to it are nothing compared to the scale of the tragedy for the family and the loss of Rob and Michele,” he continued, adding:
“If you’re a known person, your name is going to get dragged into things sometimes, but it is not a hardship. There is only sadness that they’re gone.”
Given the fact that he was one of the last people to see Rob and Michele alive, it was inevitable that Conan would speak out about their murders at some point.
But he wisely chose to center the victims rather than focusing his comments on himself or the other guests at his party.
The Reiners have two other children, whose grief in this situation is surely more profound than anyone else’s.
Elsewhere in the interview, O’Brien talked about the cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s Late Show and the demise of late night television.
He said he had a revelatory moment when his appearance on the hit YouTube series “Hot Ones” went ultra-viral in 2024.
“That was the moment the scales fell from my eyes,” O’Brien told The Hollywood Reporter.
“If a guy can do World Series numbers with overhead that looked, to me, to be about $600, and you have every big star lining up to do his show or Chicken Shop Date … that’s when I profoundly understood that late night shows are in trouble.”
Conan will be hosting the Academy Awards this Sunday on ABC.
