Sandra Bullock won an Oscar for the controversial 2009 film, The Blind Side.

Her co-star was Quinton Aaron, who portrayed real-life football player Michael Oher.

Now, Aaron is in a dire situation.

He’s spent days in the hospital after suffering a fall at home. There’s a medical mystery afoot.

The collapse at home is only part of the problem

Aaron’s manager has told TMZ that the 41-year-old actor and singer collapsed at home.

He was apparently walking up the stairs at his Atlanta residence when his legs abruptly gave out.

The result was a fall. However, there is clearly more to this medical event.

Aaron has now been in the hospital for three days. Doctors are running tests, attempting to determine (and treat) the cause of his fall.

Meanwhile, his manager thanks supporters for their “outpouring of love, prayers, and well wishes.”

According to a GoFundMe set up on the actor’s behalf, he has been placed “on life support due to a severe blood infection.”

According to the fundraising page, Aaron is currently “fighting for his life.”

Veterans Aid Network is the organizer behind the page.

The page describes: “This has been sudden, frightening, and overwhelming for his loved ones.”

According to the GoFundMe, there are a lot of financial unknowns for Aaron and his family’s immediate future.

‘Let’s surround him with that same love’

“As he fights for his life, his family is facing an immense emotional and financial burden,” the page notes.

The GoFundMe lists: “medical expenses, living costs, and the uncertainty of how long this road to recovery may be.”

As the page points out: “Quinton has spent his life inspiring others, reminding us that compassion and humanity still matter in this world.”

The page argues: “Now, as he fights one of the hardest battles of his life, let’s surround him with that same love.”

This GoFundMe is seeking $10,000. As of early afternoon on Monday, January 26, it has reached just shy of half of its goal.

Aaron’s manager did not offer quite as many details to TMZ as the GoFundMe is laying out.

According to his statement, the actor is in stable condition.

He is also reportedly communicating with loved ones and receiving appropriate care at this time.

(That is vague, but it isn’t a manager’s job to read off a patient’s chart for the media)

His health has had ups and downs over the years

Just a few months ago, Aaron detailed his weight loss journey after reaching a 200 pound milestone.

In March of 2025, he was rushed to the hospital. He had a fever and was coughing up blood at the time.

In 2019, he suffered from a severe upper respiratory infection.

It is so important to remember that appearing on television, in a film (even an Oscar-winning film) does not guarantee financial security for life.

We wish Aaron a full and speedy recovery — and with as few medical debts as possible.

Meghan Markle is being criticized in the press again.

But this time, it’s not because of her alleged thirst for fame and fortune, or the supposed power she wields over Prince Harry.

No, this time, the controversy stems from a documentary about Girl Scout cookies. Seriously.

Yes, Meghan and Prince Harry were in Park City, Utah over the weekend for the annual Sundance Film Festival.

The pair was on hand for a screening of Cookie Queens, a doc about the quest to sell the most cookies that Harry and Meghan produced through their Archewell Productions company.

The screening took place at 10:30 am, and Meghan took the stage to thank all who attended.

“Thank you so much for being here bright and early. I know some of you probably had late nights last night, so extra thanks for the effort,” she told the crowd, adding:

“My husband and I and Archewell Productions, we are so proud and privileged to be able to support and uplift Cookie Queens.”

And here’s where the controversy comes in:

According to a report in Page Six, in spite of Meghan and Harry’s star power, the turnout for their film was light.

The outlet alleges that “roughly 150 unoccupied spots remained in the balcony, plus some scattered chairs on the ground.”

But other attendees say that’s an outright lie, and the screening was sold out.

Why would Page Six lie?

Well, hating on the Sussexes is generally more profitable than singing their praises, and Harry has been battling back against the tabloid press with successful lawsuits, a strategy that seems to have earned him a lot of enemies in the media.

Page Six also attempted to drum up a second controversy, claiming that unnamed sources thought it was “nuts” for Harry to attend Sundance so soon after suing the Daily Mail for breach of privacy.

“For Harry to go from the hearing [on Wednesday] — and pleading for privacy — to then go to Sundance just days after is nuts,” said one insider.

A second source alleged that despite Meghan’s successful business ventures, the Sussexes might be light on funds at the moment, which could explain Harry’s alleged eagerness to promote this latest project.

“I think Harry’s banking on speaking engagements for income right now,” said the informant, adding:

“Harry’s not really doing anything in America,” said the source. “It seems he is still very wrapped up in the past. There have been rumors that Harry is starting a business, but he and Meghan don’t have the best track record. He’s really great at service — look at the success of his Invictus charity. He really should just stick with that.”

Again, all of this should be taken with several grains of salt, as there’s real reason to believe that this outlet published misleading information about the screening and seems to be harboring a grudge against Harry.

Yes, it’s just another day of dissecting American media and trying to determine just how much — if any of it — can be trusted!

What should a parent do in this circumstance?

Despite his other roles, Jason Biggs remains most famous for starring in American Pie and its sequels.

As a father, he’s always known that his kids will inevitably hear about some of his more infamous acting scenes.

Was showing his 11-year-old his legendary “pie” scene the right parenting call?

This is an awkward legacy for a parent (or their kid)

If you’re not familiar, American Pie is a 1999 coming-of-age teen sex comedy that spawned multiple sex comedy sequel films.

(We know that this may sound unlikely these days, but there was a time when many films contained central sexual themes. There are entire genres like erotic thrillers that are essentially extinct now, as our sex-negative culture has driven most horny content to books, video games, and television)

The film’s title stems not only from a song of the same name, but from a scene in which one of the main characters uses an actual pie to masturbate — hoping that it will approximate the feeling of having sex.

Biggs plays that very character.

In a new interview on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show, he explains why he showed that very nsfw scene to his 11-year-old son, Sid.

Biggs explained that he wanted to “control the narrative” and to “get ahead” of his son’s peers, because his son has already heard about the now-classic film.

“They kept hearing about ‘American Pie’ and pie and [asking], ‘Daddy, what do you do with the pie?’” he shared.

“And,” Biggs continued, “I had to have a conversation with my oldest.”

He revealed: “I actually showed him the scene.”

And it was not a unilateral decision.

‘How much do you want them to hear from friends’

“Jenny and I talked about this,” Biggs explained. “And we were like, ‘We want to get ahead of this.’”

He reasoned: “It’s my version of a sex talk, right?”

Elaborating, Biggs continued: “It’s like, how much do you want them to hear from friends and other people at school, and how much do you want to control the narrative.”

That is so important for any parent. Normally, it’s about key topics — like sex and sexuality. His was a special circumstance.

He pointed out: “And it was literally happening with American Pie.”

“He was embarrassed to say it, very embarrassed,” Biggs said of the admittedly awkward scene.

“But I was like, ‘Okay. Let me show you. Let me show you what happened,’” he described. “And so I showed him the scene, and he laughed and laughed.”

Biggs admitted: “He was a little uncomfortable for sure.” On a brighter note, he added: “He did say I was a good actor.”

Obviously, he received social media backlash. Some were clutching their pearls, worried about an 11-year-old seeing this content in any circumstance. Others left worst comments, using words like “Hollyweird” that tell you exactly what sort of person the commenter is.

Truth be told, Biggs handled a complex parenting situation very well. That seems like exactly the right time and way to show that to his eldest son.

“Baby fever” at 22?

Singer, dancer, and reality TV personality JoJo Siwa is apparently already thinking about having kids with boyfriend Chris Hughes.

They’ve been together for less than a year. They’re not good at talking about it. And did we mention that she’s 22?

But that hasn’t stopped JoJo from wanting a “mini him” when she looks at her man. We hope that this doesn’t reignite those tradwife rumors.

‘You want to pop a baby out’

In an interview with E! News, JoJo revealed that she apparently got some life advice from controversial singer Meghan Trainor.

“Meghan Trainor once told me,” she recalled. “She said, ‘You will know you love somebody when you love them so much you want to duplicate them and you want to pop a baby out that is made from them.’”

That’s not necessarily good advice. For multiple reasons.

But JoJo announced that her baby fever is in full bloom, and has been since last summer.

The 22-year-old singer says that she’s experienced this sensation with her older boyfriend, Chris Hughes.

“One of the first things that I said to her after I started dating Chris,” JoJo shared.

She recalled saying: “I was like, ‘I get what you’re saying now.’”

JoJo gushed: “I love him so much.”

She then added: “I need there to be a mini him.”

Obviously, having children does not (and should not) equate to there being a “mini” version of one or both parents. Having that expectation can lead to disappointment when a child ends up being their own, unique person.

‘Uh oh’ is right

It has been a very long time since Chris Hughes was a baby.

But apparently the 33-year-old has only reinforced JoJo’s belief that a “mini him” would be adorable.

“He sent me a baby photo of him the other day,” she shared. “It’s like him in a trash can.”

JoJo gushed: “It’s really cute.”

Revealing her response, she added: “And I was like, ‘Uh oh.’”

Earlier this month, JoJo shared a generative AI image, pretending that it was her and Chris’ potential future family.

Putting the slop on a TikTok video, the image depicted a son and a daughter.

Obviously, use of generative AI is unethical and repulsive.

Every image of a “child” that these environmentally destructive plagiarism engines generate is sourced from stolen photos of real families, real children. Gross!

It was disappointing to see JoJo posting slop in 2026. She can and should do better.

This is a very believable conversation

“He definitely knows it’s out there,” she acknowledged.

JoJo added: “A couple of days went by and I was like, ‘Babe, why don’t you ever talk to me or say anything about this?’”

She continued: “He was like, ‘Babe, we had a full conversation about it.’ And I was like, ‘We definitely didn’t.’”

JoJo revealed: “And he was like, ‘Oh yeah, that was with Jack’ — his best friend.”

Hopefully, JoJo isn’t going to rush into anything. She’s only 22 years old. She is an adult, but adulthood alone is not enough to prepare you to become a parent.

On his very first single, 2003’s “Through the Wire,” Kanye West rapped through a jaw that was still wired shut from a recent car accident.

Now, West claims that same accident caused brain damage that led to his recent spate of erratic behavior and bigoted remarks.

Recent headlines about the rapper have had little to do with music and much to do with West’s apparent mental illness and anti-semitic remarks.

Today, Kanye took out a full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal in order to apologize and explain.

“Twenty-five years ago, I was in a car accident that broke my jaw and caused injury to the right frontal lobe of my brain,” he says of the incident. “At the time, the focus was on the visible damage — the fracture, the swelling, and the immediate physical trauma. The deeper injury, the one inside my skull, went unnoticed.”

According to Kanye’s lengthy apology, neurological tests were “limited” in the immediate aftermath, and the “possibility of a frontal-lobe injury” was never considered.

West went on to explain that he is “in constant mental illness” as a result of his injury, adding that the situation became untenable last year.

“In early 2025, I fell into a four-month long manic episode of psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behavior that destroyed my life,” West wrote in his apology.

“As the situation became increasingly unsustainable, there were times I didn’t want to be here anymore,” he continued, adding:

“When you go into a manic episode, you are ill at that point. When you are not in an episode, you are completely ‘normal’. And that’s when the wreckage from the illness hits the hardest.”

Kanye went on to state that his wife, Bianca Censori, was instrumental in helping him find the help he needed.

“Things got worse the longer I ignored the problem. I said and did things I deeply regret. Some of the people I love the most, I treated the worst,” he continued.

“You endured fear, confusion, humiliation, and the exhaustion of trying to have someone who was, at times, unrecognizable. Looking back, I became detached from my true self.”

Kanye added that in addition to his traumatic brain injury, he suffers from bipolar disorder.

“One of the difficult aspects of having bipolar type-1 are the disconnected moments — many of which I still cannot recall — that led to poor judgment and reckless behavior that oftentimes feels like an out-of-body-experience,” West wrote.

“I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change. It does not excuse what I did though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.”

West says that through therapy, medication, and seeking community with others who have faced similar struggles, he has learned how to manage his illness.

“My words as a leader in my community have global impact and influence. In my mania, I lost complete sight of that,” he wrote.

“As I find my new baseline and new center through an effective regime of medication, therapy, exercise, and clean living, I have newfound, much-needed clarity.”

Kanye’s remorse seems genuine, but his crimes against basic human decency were immense. Hopefully, his future actions will align with the words he offered today.

In a resurfaced audition clip, we see a very different side of Erika, who quips, “Sex sells,” as she adjusts the neckline on her then-boyfriend’s shirt.

She went on to explain that she and JT spent “every day together” after their first date.

“We would close out coffee shops and Chipotles,” she said. “We [go] hiking together, that was fun. .. We, somehow, find a way to make the best out of any situation that we’re in ‘cause we like to have fun. Life’s too short.”

Many commenters criticized Erika for allegedly chasing fame.

“She sure has been chasing fame for a good while now,” one person wrote (via Yahoo! News).

“It only took another decade for her to attain the level of fame she wanted all along,” another added.

“She literally auditioned for EVERYTHING. This is nuts. She is the definition of THIRSTY,” a third chimed in.

Some viewers noted the contrast between Erika’s demeanor these days and the way that she behaved in the clip.

“Literal shapeshifter (both physically and personality). Who is she, actually? A Military Industrial Complex weapon?” one person asked.

“She is literally performing every moment of her life. Everything is an act, and even her voice disrupts my spirit….” a second echoed.

Others encouraged empathy, noting that Erika was very young in the clip and has obviously changed a good deal since.

“Her past does not define her, as Jesus taught us,” wrote one commenter.

“People are allowed to REPENT! Most Christians have this kind of testimony where you believe in Christ but still practice sin… after a while with the Holy Spirit, that changes, and you begin to live a sanctified life. Not an Erika stan but this vid isn’t worth much!” another added.

Erika has not yet commented publicly on the clip, but she still has more than 20 cities left on her “Make Heaven Crowded Tour,” so maybe it’ll come up eventually!
