As we previously reported, beloved actress Catherine O’Hara has passed away at the age of 71.
While no cause of death has been given, O’Hara’s passing seems to have come as a shock to those who knew her best.
Now, countless friends, fans, and colleagues are paying tribute to the screen icon, including Macaulay Culkin, who famously played O’Hara’s son, Kevin McCallister, in the 1990 holiday classic Home Alone.

Culkin took to Instagram moments ago to share a short but powerful remembrance of the woman who played his onscreen mother.
“Mama. I thought we had time,” Culkin wrote alongside a photo of himself and O’Hara in the film (both stars reprised their roles for 1992’s Home Alone 2).
“I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you but I had so much more to say,” he continued, adding, poignantly:
“I love you. I’ll see you later.”
Culkin and O’Hara maintained a close relationship over the years, and she delivered a speech when he received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023.
At the time, O’Hara noted with amusement that he was now “older than I was when I played his mother.”
Culkin also included a photo from that occasion in his social media tribute.
“Home Alone was, is and always will be a beloved global sensation… the reason families all over the world can’t let a year go by without watching and loving Home Alone together is because of Macaulay Culkin,” she said in her speech.

The former co-stars often spoke of one another fondly in the decades since they met on set.
In one of her final interviews, O’Hara humorously recalled the day when she and her husband, Bo Welch, nearly had a real-life Home Alone moment with their two sons.
“We were in New York once; I think it was New York,” the Schitt’s Creek star told People magazine last year.
“Bo and I got on the subway, we turned around, the doors are closing, and they weren’t on… I screamed and people screamed with me,” she recalled.
The story has a happy ending, as the doors reopened, and O’Hara was reunited with her boys.

“It makes me sick to think what could have happened,” said O’Hara.
O’Hara racked up dozens of credits in classic films over the years, including Beetlejuice and Best In Show. She also won an Emmy for her work on the beloved sitcom Schitt’s Creek.
But for fans of a certain generation, O’Hara is likely best remembered as Kevin McCallister’s heroic mom.
Our thoughts are with Catherine’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives poses two big questions ahead of Season 4.
Is Taylor Frankie Paul pregnant?
And is she going to be the first pregnant Bachelorette in franchise history?
This mess is so on-brand for her.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is coming up on March 12.
Then, a week and a half later, The Bachelorette launches its new season on March 22.
Taylor Frankie Paul has a starring role on both.
In real time, we know that production on her season of ABC’s long-running reality romance has already wrapped.
But the recent teaser trailer for TSLoMW has fans wondering if her suitors are in for a surprise.
The brief teaser trailer for Season 4 shows a distressed Taylor Frankie Paul crying and expressing anger over the phone while wearing a baggy ensemble.
“I hate all of you because you all knew,” she says in distress.
We do not know to whom she is speaking, of course.
However, we see Jessi Ngatikaura as she asks if Taylor is going to be the “first pregnant Bachelorette.”
Wait, what?

The teaser trailer does its work well — creating questions and not answering them.
It makes it clear that Taylor Frankie Paul is still part of the cast.
(Some fans had wondered if she’d be leaving the show, after all)
But we don’t even get a definitive answer about whether she is pregnant — let alone to any follow-up questions.
There’s one thing that does seem clear, however.

The discussion of whatever is going on with Taylor is going to be a factor on Season 4.
That could mean that there is a rumor that she is pregnant.
But it could also mean that there is a discussion of her relationship status, or even that she is sick and trying to identify symptoms.
If you can think of a reason for why someone might speculate about a pregnancy, then it’s a possibility here.
As for the “first pregnant Bachelorette” line … Jessi knew that she was on camera. No matter the context of the question, she was dramatic by choice.

Taylor is no stranger to drama. She is no stranger to pregnancy.
But while there’s no telling with her, she’s probably not the first-ever pregnant Bachelorette? That sounds like its own season.
(It also sounds like something that would have leaked)
There are claims (often posted to Meta sites, like Facebook) claiming that Taylor “blew up” production when The Bachelorette learned that she was pregnant in the middle of filming.
But there’s no reason to believe that. In fact, there’s no evidence to suggest that Taylor is actually pregnant — just that people may have been spreading a rumor that she was.

Luigi Mangione learned today that he will not be fighting for his life when his case goes to trial.
Mangione was arrested late last year for the murder of UnitedHealthCare CEO Bryan Thompson.
He’s currently behind bars awaiting trial, and he learned today that he’s no longer at risk of receiving the death penalty.

According to a report from NBC News, U.S. District Judge Margaret M. Garnett dismissed two of the four federal counts against Mangione: murder through the use of a firearm, and a related firearms offense.
The former charge was the only one against Mangione that carried a potential death sentence.
He’ll still be tried for two federal stalking counts, which each carry a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
In rendering her decision, Judge Garnett explained that the murder through the use of a firearm charge did not fit the case, as it had to be used in tandem with a “crime of violence,” which the stalking charge against Mangione is not.

She admitted that her decision may come off as a bit arcane, but she insisted that she’s following the letter of the law.
“The analysis contained in the balance of this opinion may strike the average person — and indeed many lawyers and judges — as tortured and strange, and the result may seem contrary to our intuitions about the criminal law,” Garnett wrote.
“But it represents the Court’s committed effort to faithfully apply the dictates of the Supreme Court to the charges in this case,” the federal judge continued, adding, “The law must be the Court’s only concern.”
In comments delivered outside the courtroom, Mangione attorney Karen Agnifilo praised the judge’s “incredible decision.”

“We’re all very relieved,” Agnifilo added.
The prosecution previously dropped its terrorism charges against Magione.
Mangione has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him.
We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.

Will Janelle Brown be back?
After Season 20, some fans weren’t sure if TLC would keep the show going.
Sister Wives will return for Season 21.
But after Janelle’s statements about leaving the show, will she be part of it?

In recent months, Janelle Brown has made multiple social media posts about leaving Sister Wives.
Not an announcement. Not a promise or a threat. Just … touching upon the topic.
“Leaving the show… leaving a marriage… starting over at an age where everyone expects you to have it all figured out,” she penned in one post, as we reported.
Janele continued at the time: “I kept looking at the pieces and thinking something must be wrong with me.”
In another post, she wrote: “After the cameras went away, I realized how much of my identity had been shaped by what people thought they knew and rebuilding after that … honestly it takes time.”

This week, Mykelti Brown and her husband, Tony Padron, were guests on the Growing Up in Polygamy podcast.
With so much uncertainty, she was able to confirm that TLC viewers will be getting a Season 21 of her fractured family’s show.
“There will be guaranteed one more season for sure,” Mykelti dished.
“Beyond more than one,” she admitted. “I have no idea.”
It is possible that TLC doesn’t know, either.
According to Mykelti, who would know, “Janelle will be a part” of Season 21.
However, she stressed that this season has some key differences from seasons past.
“I will say that none of the parents have the same filming schedule that they used to have,” Mykelti cautioned.
“For the last 15-16 years, it’s been two weeks of filming, two weeks off,” she specified.
Mykelti explained: “But this last six months or so, the filming has been very, very miniscule. It’s sporadic. So, the filming has been less.”

“But Janelle will be part of the new season coming out,” Mykelti then emphasized.
How does Janelle feel about that?
Well … that’s a tough question for anyone to answer. Even Janelle herself.
“I think Janelle, some days she’s like, ‘Yes, let’s do five more seasons!’” Mykelti characterized.
She continued: “And sometimes she’s like, ‘I’m done. I just want to focus on my grandbabies.’”

Mykelti continued to characterize how Janelle’s feelings on reality TV ebb and flow.
“‘I want to focus on Taeda Farms. I want to focus on my life in North Carolina. I want to move on,’” she described.
She reasoned: “So I think she goes back and forth.”
That is very reasonable.
As for fans … as much as they love seeing her, they also want for her to be happy. Janelle’s fans are likely as conflicted as the woman herself.

We have tragic news to report out of Hollywood today:
Catherine O’Hara — the beloved comic actress who won laughs with her roles in Home Alone and Schitt’s Creek — has passed away.
She was 71 years old.

News of her passing comes courtesy of TMZ, who reports that two sources with “direct knowledge” of the situation have confirmed that O’Hara passed away on Friday.
Her cause of death is unknown at this time.
In addition to her roles in the Home Alone franchise and the beloved sitcom Schitt’s Creek, the Emmy winner racked up dozens of film and television credits over the course of more than 50 years in the industry.
After getting her start on the groundbreaking sketch show Second City Television, O’Hara starred in such acclaimed films as After Hours, Beetlejuice, and Christopher Guest-directed mockumentary comedies like Best In Show and A Mighty Wind.

In 2020, O’Hara won an Emmy for her work on Schitt’s Creek.
In her acceptance speech, she thanked the show’s creators — father-and-son duo Dan and Eugene Levy — for “the opportunity to play a woman of a certain age, my age, who gets to fully be her ridiculous self.”
In her later years, O’Hara remained busy, with roles in the HBO drama The Last of Us and the Apple TV+ comedy The Studio.
She received Emmy nominations for both, as well as a Golden Globe nomination for The Studio.
O’Hara did not attend the 2026 Golden Globes ceremony, but the cause of her absence is unknown.

Across social media today, friends, family, and a legion of fans are all paying tribute to this one-of-a-kind talent:
“Hard to think of an actress who was as consistently funny or made a greater impression on both my childhood and adult life than Catherine O’Hara. Another great one gone. RIP,” wrote one user on X (formerly Twitter).
“Devastated. Gutted. Never met her but this feels like a personal loss. As great as any comedic performer of my lifetime. Rest In Peace, Catherine O’Hara,” another added.
“Catherine O’Hara was an absolute treasure and I loved all her roles,” a third remarked.
The actress is survived by her husband of 34 years, Bo Welch, and their two children.
This is a breaking story, and we will have further updates as new information becomes available.
