Nearly two weeks after Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, it briefly looked as though the this horrific saga might finally be coming to an end.
On Friday night, four suspects were apprehended in a daring SWAT Team raid.
Early reports indicate that the team was assisted by members of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, who have been investigating Nancy’s disappearance since day one.
There was reason to be hopeful at first — but in a bizarre twist all four suspects have now been released.
As Fox News legal analyst Donna Rotunno explained, it’s “strange” to see so many arrests with no charges.
“We saw this flurry of activity last night and then several hours later we find out that they brought people in and let them go. That’s strange actually, Rotunno said today, adding:
“If someone is detained, they’re held for a period of time, they’re let go,” she continued.
“You’re arrested, normally it’s longer. Arrest has to do with probable cause and a detainment has to do with reasonable suspicion,” she said.
These are not the first arrests that have been made in this case.
Last week, a delivery driver named Carlos Palazuelos was arrested and questioned about Nancy’s disappearance before being released.
“I asked, ‘The kidnapping of who?’ and they told me this lady … I don’t know her name,” Palazuelos told the press.
Thus far, the most compelling piece of evidence that might lead to an arrest seems to be a short video clip of a masked man standing outside of Nancy’s door on the night of her disappearance.
The suspect in the clip is described by the FBI as “approximately 5’9” – 5’10” tall, with an average build.”
Investigators are now using clues derived from the suspect’s clothing to try and determine his identity.
The Guthries have received a ransom note demanding $6 million in Bitcoin in exchange for Nancy’s safe return.
It’s still unclear if that note was authentic. Whatever the case, the publicly viewable Bitcoin account cited in the note has not received any deposits.
As the days turn into weeks, the Guthrie family — which includes Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie — is no doubt feeling increasingly desperate.

If you’re of a certain age, you learned of her as perhaps the most beautiful woman alive.
If you’re of another certain age, you know her as Kaia Gerber’s hot mom.
The rest of us know her as Cindy Crawford: icon, supermodel, entrepreneur.
She has been married and divorced and married again over the years. Here’s where things stand today.
Her first marriage was to Richard Gere
In the 1980s and the 1990s, Crawford was a supermodel and one of the most famous faces on the planet.
Think Gigi Hadid. But without the Hadid family name. (As a teen, Crawford was once pranked into thinking that she’d gotten a local modeling gig — a year before landing a real one)
Also famous was actor Richard Gere, fresh off of the success of his Pretty Woman comeback.
He was just less Gigi Hadid and more Glen Powell.
Crawford and Gere dated for a few years before marrying in 1991, when she was 25 and he was 41. They were quite the couple.
In 1995, Crawford and Gere divorced.
She has credited Gere with helping her navigate fame and stardom.
When you aren’t a nepo baby, sometimes it helps to have someone who knows what it’s like to be famous.
In her (admittedly uncommon) comments about the erstwhile marriage, Crawford has praised Gere as a partner and has fond memories of that romance.
However, she has also admitted that their age gap of roughly 17 years came up more than once — and was a factor in their split.
Her second marriage was to Rande Gerber
On May 29, 1998, Crawford married Rande Gerber.
People are most familiar with Gerber as a businessman.
He is something of a night life magnate, with his own liquor brands, nightclubs, and more.
(He has also had joint ventures in these areas with famous partners, such as George Clooney)
Over the years, Gerber has earned himself a 9-figure net worth.
In 1999, Crawford and Gerber welcomed their first child, Presley Walker Gerber.
Presley has had a somewhat troubled reputation as an adult.
In 2001, the couple welcomed their daughter,, Kaia Jordan Gerber.
Kaia is a model, a style icon, and has dated some of the hottest men in the entertainment industry.
Both Presley and Kaia went into modeling when they reached adulthood, albeit to varying degrees.
Where do things stand today?
These days, Crawford and Gerber remain very much together.
Though rumors occasionally emerge to the contrary, they are not divorced.
Their children are both adults. As we alluded, there are corners of the internet where Kaia is more famous than her mom.

Rachel Lindsay is not holding anything back.
Not when it comes to ex-husband Bryan Abasolo.
On the most recent episode of the Pop Syllabus podcast, the former Bachelorette lead said she feels “free” now that she’s made her final spousal support payment to her ex-husband.
“I felt powerless that I didn’t have a prenup,” Lindsay told listeners “He took so much from me.”
She continued, emphasizing: “He was ruthless about it, there was no compromising.”
The former spouses finalized their divorce in January 2025… one year after Abasolo filed for legal separation. As part of the settlement, Rachel agreed to pay her ex a $500,000 lump sum in alimony.
“I felt powerful that I was able to do it in a year,” said Rachel, who married her Season 13 winner in 2019 after meeting on The Bachelorette. ”Like, ‘I paid you off, I’m still here, I’m still surviving.’”
Looking back, the former lawyer said she rushed into marriage because she felt “societal pressures” to settle down.
As she put it, “I wanted a prenup. I talked to him about a prenup. He did not want it.”
That can certainly be an awkward topic between a man and a woman.
“It was kind of a perfect storm as to why I ended up moving forward with the marriage, even though I saw the issues,” Rachel continued on this podcast. “The narrative that I couldn’t be loved because I focused so much on career, all of that was in me.”
Back in early 2025, Lindsay told listeners of her own podcast (Higher Learning) that she was so darn happy to be divorced at last.
“I’m divorced. Thank you, God,” she said just over a year ago “Give me some freedom music. Some freedom music.”
After joking around for a bit, the reality star grew serious at the time … explaining to co-host Van Lathan how it’s “a very weird feeling” to actually be free from her marriage.
“From the moment he finally left the house, after being here for seven months post-separation, I felt divorced,” she said on air. “I’ll be honest, there’s a lot I want to say.”
And now she appears to be doing it.
“I had to let go of the fear, the shame and the embarrassment of getting a divorce,” Lindsay just said, adding that she wants to confront the misconception that she “has it all together.”
As for Abasolo?
“We didn’t spend enough time with each other,” he told divorce coach Rene Garcia in a 2024 YouTube video. “In my estimation, we saw what the other person was doing in the relationship, mainly on Instagram, although we lived in the same house.”
Bryan added of his decision to seek a divorce back then:
“My priority in that moment was to protect my mental health and just relieve the pressure.”
