After ages of clear signs of a Beckham family feud, we finally know what tore apart the UK’s (other) royal family.
Brooklyn spoke out earlier this year, accusing mom Victoria of hijacking his wedding and humiliating him. This mirrored other accounts of the wedding, which many had dismissed as too awful to be true.
Now, for the first time, Victoria is breaking her silence on the family rift.
But she’s not exactly leaping to take accountability for her actions.
She’s finally breaking her silence
In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, Victoria spoke about the rift in her family — particularly between her and her eldest son, Brooklyn.
Though the question asked about Brooklyn Peltz Beckham specifically, she avoided using his name.
“I think that we’ve always — we love our children so much,” Victoria began.
“We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be,” she added.
Many parents say that. Sometimes, it is even true.
“And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now,” Victoria noted.
She became a public figure in the ’90s with the debut of the Spice Girls.
Her husband, David Beckham, was apparently famous within the sports fandom — specifically for soccer — prior to his marriage, which is arguably the larger claim to fame.
“And all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children,” Victoria emphasized.
“And you know,” she concluded, “that’s all I really want to say about it.”
In case you need a refresher on what Brooklyn said
In January 2026, Brooklyn spoke out, ending the speculation about why he was beefing with some of his family.
First and foremost, he accused both of his parents of trying to strongarm him over his relationship with his wife, Nicola. He also accused them of trying to “ruin” the romance.
Some parents meddle due to personal wishes. In his mind, it seemed to be about the family branding — about “public promotion and endorsements above all else.”
Brooklyn said that Victoria and David ambushed him before his wedding, trying to get him to sign away his own rights to his own name.
And then came the accusations about Victoria’s outrageous behavior at the wedding itself.
Brooklyn wrote that his mother had “hijacked” his wedding dance — his first dance with Nicola Peltz Beckham as spouses.
This was apparently a prank — and only grew more disgusting as it progressed.
According to Brooklyn, Victoria “danced inappropriately on me.”
Accounts of the dance describe Victoria allegedly “nuzzling” her eldest son’s neck.
Understandably, he wrote that he has no “wish tor reconcile” right now. That is pretty understandable.
Why did she bother saying anything if it doesn’t really mean anything?
Brooklyn continued to speak to his mother after that, even as he and Nicola planned a small and private ceremony that his mother could not ruin.
Truth be told, remaining on speaking terms for any time after that sounds overly generous. Brooklyn said that it was only his family’s meddling in the media that prompted him to speak out.
It doesn’t sound like Victoria is ready to deny literally any of that. Or to confirm it. Or even to apologize.
One has to wonder why she chose to speak at all instead of passing on the question.
Her protestations that she’s always tried to be a good parent don’t really mean much in the face of the reality that Brooklyn has described.

We have horrifying news to report out of Virginia today.
Justin Fairfax, 47, a prominent lawyer and former lieutenant governor of Virginia, appears to have died by suicide after murdering his wife, Cerina Fairfax.
The shootings reportedly took place just after midnight on Thursday.
Police say the Fairfaxes had been in the throes of a “messy divorce” since July of last year.
“It is high-profile in nature, it’s tragic in nature. Certainly a fall from grace for a relatively high profile family that seemingly had had a lot of things going in their favor,” Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis said in a statement, according to The New York Post.
“So tragic for the children to lose both parents, extra tragic for them to actually be in the home when it occurred. So yeah, there’s a lot going on,” Davis continued, adding:
“This has been an ongoing domestic dispute surrounding what seems to be a complicated or messy divorce.
“I don’t think it’s a secret that there’s been a divorce proceedings that have been ongoing.
“From what I understand in this early stage, former Lieutenant Governor Fairfax was recently served some paperwork associated with an upcoming court proceeding that apparently led to this incident last night.”
The former lieutenant governor had been on local authorities’ radar for several months.
Back in January, Justin falsely accused Cerina of physically assaulting him inside their home.
Police determined that he had made a false report after reviewing security camera footage.
It was not the first time that Fairfax had been embroiled in public controversy.
According to the Post, two women accused him of sexually assaulting them in 2000 and 2004.
The claims surfaced in 2019, apparently helping to bring about the end of the Fairfaxes’ marriage.
Fairfax maintained that the encounters were consensual, and he refused to resign from his post.
He launched his own failed bid for the governorship in 2021.
Fairfax was eventually ousted from his lieutenant governor post with the election of Republican Winsome Earle-Sears in 2022.

On Tuesday, April 14, Erika quote-tweeted a Fox News video of Andrew Kolvet and JD Vance.
The two men were seated on stage in front of several dozen members of the far-right Turning Point USA organization.
Kolovet announced that Erika had skipped the event as a result of “some very serious threats in her direction.”
Obviously, he tried to make use of this claim, calling the alleged threats a “terrible reflection of the state of reality in the state of the country.”
There are certainly terrible reflections of the state of the country and reality itself in this video. But the alleged threat to Erika is unsubstantiated.

In her quote-tweet, Erika put her own spin on her absence from the event.
“I was so looking forward to tonight’s event at the @universityofga with our Vice President @JDVance,” the controversial widow claimed.
“But after all our family has been through,” Erika explained, “I take my security team’s recommendations extremely seriously.”
She is likely referring to Charlie Kirk’s death in September of last year.
“Thank you to our amazing Georgia chapter for your support,” Erika concluded. “God bless you all!”
Say what you will about Candace Owens, but she is a dedicated hater
Like so many others, Candace Owens struggled to believe that Erika was at risk of anything but being photograph in front of a room of mostly empty seats.
(The fairly large auditorium was mostly empty.)
“Stop. This is exhausting. You pulled out because of bad ticket sales,” Owens accused. “For the same reason TPFaith had to ‘reschedule’ the Pastor’s Summit and various other events quietly.”
She added: “People don’t believe you and don’t line up for you because you struggle to tell the truth about even the most basic facts.”
Owens demanded: “Where is the video of Charlie appointing you as CEO weeks before his death?”
“The Secret Service sits above your security team,” Owens pointed out.
“Were there actually a viable threat,” she suggested, “the Vice President would not have continued the event.”
Owens scathingly continued: “Your closest threat is the s–t Public Relations team you hired that continues to operate under the delusion that they are smarter than the public.”
She concluded: “They aren’t.”
The line about the Secret Service is particularly persuasive. What sort of threat would send Erika into hiding, but allow JD Vance to oafishly sit on the stage and whine about the pope without fear?
Reality check
As always, you do not, under any circumstances, “gotta hand it” to Candace Owens.
She is a bad person who tends to identify and latch onto real problems but then suggests bogus and bigoted explanations or solutions.
However, this is an example in which she latches onto a popular idea — that Erika is a bad, dishonest person — and runs with it. That helps her grow her audience, to whom she spouts unhinged nonsense.
Interestingly, this particular tweet didn’t delve into the theory that Erika felt shy about appearing on stage with JD Vance. Remember, they had some weird vibes together after Charlie was out of the picture.
It’s unclear whether the dozens who gathered below the stage, or any of the ghosts in empty seats, felt disappointed at Erika’s absence from the event. So, whether or not Erika felt scared off by any tangible threats, it’s unlikely that anyone was missing out.

In the weeks since Joseph Duggar was arrested for child molestation, he and wife Kendra Caldwell have kept a low profile for obvious reasons.
But details about their family situation and mounting legal woes have still leaked to the public.
Some of those details come from Joseph and Kendra’s recorded jailhouse phone calls.
One of those calls revealed that Joe and Kendra are evicting her parents from a property they own after some sort of falling out.
Now, a Christian influencer named Amy Paul has revealed the nature of that falling out:
She claims that the Caldwells are the ones who alerted the authorities to Joseph’s alleged crimes.
In a new Instagram post, Amy reports that she traveled to Arkansas to help the Caldwells move out after they were evicted by Joe:
“Why did I decide to drive 14 hrs to help the Caldwells? The answer is simple…there was a need and as Christians we are called to be ‘the hands and feet of Jesus’,” she wrote, adding:
“I was also appalled at the lack of Christian charity that is being shown to this precious family that is in crisis.
“Not only were they put in the awful situation of turning their son-in-law into the police because he wasn’t man enough to take accountability himself, but he’s also kicking them out of their house and giving them 30 days to get out!
“The power and the water was turned off with 8 other kids living in the house!”
Amy went on to reveal that she suspects the Duggars of trying to take additional revenge on the Caldwells as they were being forced out of their home:
“While I was there DHS was called on them for abuse…wonder who called? I will tell you that not one Duggar is reaching out to the Caldwells,” she wrote, adding:
“Not one Duggar is helping them move or asking how they can help! The Caldwells share 4grandkids with Jimbob and Michelle.
“Joe Duggar is 100% not the victim. Pray for their daughter, Kendra to choose her kids and leave the (alleged) pedophile and have a relationship with her family.
“The only emotion I have right now for the Duggars is disgust and disbelief. Do the right thing and HELP your extended family from the abuse and trauma your son has caused.
“Your piddly statement wasn’t enough. Where are the actions?! Even if you don’t “like” someone, the truth is you raised a son and he touched a prepubescent child and you are choosing to poison the daughter against her family.”
Amy concluded her statement by calling on the Duggars not to repeat the mistakes they made with Josh Duggar and his wife:
“Encourage Kendra to divorce Joe, focus on her kids and give her half the money, real estate etc. Don’t make her dependent on you, JimBob…like she’s not a grown woman! Don’t make her another Anna,” she wrote.
Amy ended by saying she would “prob be arrested” if she wrote what she really wanted to say.
Yes, it sounds like the Duggars have made yet another influential enemy. But the mounting public pressure probably will not convince Jim Bob and Michelle to do the right thing,

By fresh, they weren’t kidding. Page Six says that she filed the documents to end her marriage on Tuesday.
Officially, Elizabeth has not announced the divorce. Not in a public capacity, at any rate.
However, her Wednesday Facebook post did seem to at least hint at big changes.

What’s behind the OnlyFans move?
Streaming has all but killed residuals, tearing the entertainment industry apart as massive companies seem reluctant to pay the workers who made them billions. And divorce is expensive.
Some might cynically say that Elizabeth is joining OnlyFans because she’d like an infusion of money.
That seems likely. This is also the reason for taking just about any other paying job on the planet.
We should note that Denise Richards has also spoken about connecting with fans. She once did it on forums, but social media has done lasting harm to forum sites. Only on OnlyFans, she’s said, does she feel that connection with fans again.
Let’s hope that Elizabeth has as good — and profitable — of an experience on the platform!
