It appears to be the end of a drunken era.

Nearly 20 years after viewers introduced to reality television legends Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Pauly D, MTV appears to be saying farewell to the beloved cast of Jersey Shore.

In a teaser for the show’s upcoming season — which premieres May 7 — Sorrentino teases a “next level” goodbye with some significant life moments for the group… including Sammi Giancola’s wedding to Justin May.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation debuted in 2018 as a revival of Jersey Shore, which originally ran on MTV for six seasons from 2009 to 2012.

Via a network press release, it sounds as if there are no new Jersey Shore spinoffs or programs in the pipeline, as this statement notes that “this farewell season marks the culmination of a franchise that entertained millions with major life milestones, laugh-out-loud chaos, and the unfiltered chemistry that defined an era of reality television.”

So, what can fans expect from these 18 new episodes?

A whole lot of antics and hijinks, it looks like.

For example, one point in the trailer, Snooki — who recently shared her stage one cervical cancer diagnosis –linked arms and danced with an unnamed man as she exclaimed, “I have no bra on.”

Sounds about right.

As we look forward to May 7 and what’s to come, here’s a look at the official MTV synopsis for Season 9:

Angelina embarks on a full emotional roller coaster, packed with extreme highs, devastating lows and nonstop twists that only Angelina can deliver.

Deena shines as PTA president and goes big on giving back wherever she can, organizing charity events and supporting her friends.

DJ Pauly D continues to grow his empire, launching his own record label, while his relationship with girlfriend Nikki continues to blossom.

Jenni “JWOWW” embraces her 40th birthday as she steps into full director mode, directing her second movie. JWOWW returns putting the wow in JWOWW dropping truth bombs and stirring up conversations no one else will touch.

Mike “The Situation” brings his abs out of retirement as he focuses on his fitness journey, celebrates a remarkable 10 years sober, and opens a rehab center.

Nicole “Snooki” juggles cheer mom life, friendship and boss‑lady business moves, all while finding time to be the life of the party.

Ronnie is fully back in the mix, joining the roomies on their trips and opening up to them about his struggles as he looks to work through them.

Sammi “Sweetheart” packs a lifetime of milestones into just eight months — pregnancy, childbirth and a wedding.

Vinny takes his standup career to the next level as he is selling out shows and taking his set on tour, organizing and hosting a celebratory Roast for the family, all while being very single.

Is the franchise truly coming to an end, though?

“Legends don’t retire — they reroute,” Snooki captioned a recent Instagram video featuring her costars, adding:

“The network changed. The legacy didn’t. Jersey Shore is forever. Just wait until you see what’s next.”

Lisa Rinna would like to set a certain record straight.

And we aren’t using this word by accident.

In the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum’s new book (titled “You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It”), the reality star/soap opera actress does her best to shut down speculation that husband Harry Hamlin is gay.

Such speculation apparently started way, way back in the day after Hamlin played a gay man in the 1982 movie Making Love.

“When you’re a good-looking man in Hollywood with a good sense of style, that adds up to ‘is he gay?’” Lisa wrote in the book. “Let’s just clear this up one last time, once and for all: Harry’s heterosexual.”

According to Amazon’s official synopsis:

In You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, Lisa peels back the curtain on her rollercoaster career and her unapologetic approach to life, dishing on the highs, the lows, and the “did-she-really-just-say-that?” moments that made her a household name.

Back to Hamlin, though.

Rinna — who made headlines last month for saying she was drugged at The Traitors premiere party — added of her long-time spouse:

“He is not a gay man in any way, shape or form, not that there’s anything wrong with that.”

Rinna and Hamlin got married in 1997 and the former says the “sex is still great” between the pair “because we’re still really attracted to each other.”

She explained further:

“Even if we don’t do it as often, when we do, it’s as good as it’s ever been. After all these years, Harry and I still feel like a team.”

The stars are parents to daughters Delilah Belle, 27, and Amelia, 24.

Rinna recently told E! News that Hamlin — who, to reiterate, is not gay — has read her memoir and is fine with it.

“He’s a voracious reader and he’s really, really smart, so I was very nervous for him to read it,” she told this outlet last week. “[But] he really liked it. He thought I was very brave, very vulnerable and he thought I did a great job.”

Demi Lovato has been using their voice for good for years.

Those unique challenges have helped her build a lot of wisdom.

This week, they sat down with the incomparable Keke Palmer.

Both former child stars compared notes on having dated grown men when they were teenagers, and the factors that led to that.

These former teen stars had very similar experiences

On the Tuesday, March 3 episode of Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, the eponymous host reflected upon the red flag age gaps of her adolescence.

“I found myself dating. I’m 15, why is my boyfriend 20?” she recalled thinking.

This remark came in retrospect, because it seemed to make sense at the time.

Her guest for this legend-to-legend conversation was Demi Lovato.

“Why was my boyfriend 30?” Demi responded, nodding in agreement. “You know what I’m saying?”

Keke very clearly knows what Demi is saying.

And so do we.

In 2010, Demi was 18 years old. Wilmer Valderrama was 30. The two began dating, only breaking up in 2016.

Demi has spoken about the highs and lows of this erstwhile relationship before — alleging violations of consent but also describing the romance as “love at first sight.”

We do have to emphasize that Valderrama’s name doesn’t come up during the chat. And, honestly, it doesn’t need to.

What brought about these situations?

Contrary to what conspiracy theorists might push, it isn’t that teenage actors are pushed to date adult men by evil puppetmasters. At least, not usually.

The unique combination of a financially successful career and unusual adolescent independence did feed into this situation, as it would for even non-famous teens.

But, as Keke suggested during the interview, both former child stares “were trying to find outlets and just a way to process” their fairly unique lives.

“Nobody our age could understand,” Demi agreed. “But then you look back in hindsight, when I turned 30 I was like, ‘That’s not OK.’”

“Girl, the moment that you realize and you get to the age that a lot of people that were around you and doing stuff,” Keke remarked.

“It’s almost a mental break that can happen because you realize you were taken advantage of,” Keke added. “‘Oh, I was being exploited.’”

It is very common for teens, even those who do not date anyone older than a classmate, to think little to nothing of an adult dating one of their classmates.

(This was even more common a couple of decades ago, before social media.)

At fifteen, you might think “gee, why would my friend date someone as ancient as 26?” Then, over a decade later, you remember that — and imagine that mindset of someone in their mid-twenties dating a high school sophomore.

“Especially if you are an older soul, too,” Demi added, clarifying: “Especially if you’re mature for your age.”

These two baddies both have excellent taste

This formed a natural segue into both praising Hilary Duff’s song, “Mature.” (Hilary has been popping off with new music lately.)

Remarking upon how they all had similar experiences as child stars, Demi noted that their 2022 song, “29,” was about an older partner.

(Demi was 17 and Valderrama was 29 when they first met, though the dating did not begin until Demi’s 18th birthday.)

As we already mentioned, plenty of non-celebrities — particularly women — have comparable stories about men who, at the very best, were too immature. In most cases, these are stories of men who exploited them as teens.

We’re glad that Demi and Keke are both in much better places today. We’re just so sorry that they had to pull themselves out of these places of exploitation.

That goes for everything — for boobs, for hole. Hell, don’t send face photos unsolicited.

(But the dong pics seem to be the biggest problem … though, in this case, not the biggest.)

After being accused of spreading his micropenis pics around without consent, the wielder of the (alleged) world’s smallest penis is apologizing. Sort of.

It started when a number of women had the same complaint

A number of social media posts, most notably this Instagram video (below), have told variations of the same story.

People — possibly all women — receive DMs from a man who goes to great lengths (pun unintended but we’re leaving it in) to discuss his micropenis.

Claiming to have the world’s smallest penis, he frames this as a disability, discusses how he believes that this impacts his day-to-day life, and seeks to elicit sympathy.

Unfortunately, as the story details, he will also bring this up to defend himself after his own bad behavior — such as inexcusable and public body-shaming.

The worst part, of course, is that this individual has also sent unsolicited photos of his micropenis to these women.

The video includes screenshots of a series of DMs.

Michael Phillips appears to lash out in anger, claiming that anyone poking fun at what he calls his “disability” is doing something worse than his unprompted body-shaming.

(We’re not going to try to litigate whether a micropenis is a disability or not — it may well be! We are not disability experts.)

Some on social media have drawn the conclusion that he starts these online spats as a pretext before sending a photo of his micropenis.

He seems to object to the characterization of his behavior as engaging in kink (and, by extension, “tricking” others into engaging with him).

What does he have to say for himself?

During an extended (pun again not intended) chat with TMZ, Phillips insists that he’s not sending micropenis pics to harass women.

He says that the dong photos are to be upfront for dating purposes.

According to him, he’d rather directly inform someone whom he intends to date that he has a micropenis.

(He’s making a fair point here. The internet is full of horror stories of men who deceived partners about their penises in one way or another.)

Being honest is a worthy goal! However, we should never send photos — especially not genital photos — without consent. That’s just as true if someone’s working with a whole hog in the double digits or with whatever Phillips has.

Okay, but what about sending the DM during an argument with the woman he body-shamed?

“There was a girl who I was angry with because she started making fun of me,” he reported. This is accurate, if incomplete.

“I had commented on her post, and a bunch of people started attacking me,” Phillips described.

“They saw I was in the news for having a micropenis and she started posting about that,” he recounted.

“I did send her an unsolicited pic of myself,” Phillips admitted. He claimed that this was “because I wanted to show her that she shouldn’t make fun of people and let her see what she’s making fun of.”

He super swears that he won’t send unsolicited photos again

“I tried to tell her it’s a disability and something I have to live with, I was hoping for it to be a teachable moment,” he claimed.

Phillips did confess to having sent (other) unsolicited micropenis pics in the past.

He claimed that this only happened when he was drinking.

“I don’t do that anymore,” Phillips alleged. “I apologize to any woman I may have offended.”

We’re sure that, if he does do that again, the world will hear of it. It sounds like his personal photos are fairly unique.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms just wrapped up what most viewers agree was a very successful first season.

But it’s never too early to start looking ahead to Season 2, is it?

Filming on episodes of this HBO drama is already underway in Belfast… with Entertainment Weekly and other outlets confirming that a few casting details have now been made official.

Lucy Boynton (A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story), Babou Ceesay (Alien: Earth), and Peter Mullan (Ozark) will all join the Game of Thrones prequel’s roster as key characters from “The Sworn Sword,” the second Dunk and Egg novella from author George R. R. Martin on which Season 2 is based.

Boynton — who also appeared in Barbie and Bohemian Rhapsody — will portray Lady Rohanne, a.k.a. the Red Widow, who’s the head of House Webber and the Lady of Coldmoat.

Then we have Ceesay — considered to have been a breakthrough performer from the FX Alien prequel series as cyborg Morrow — who will take Ser Bennis of the Brown Shield, a sworn sword (a knight sworn to an individual).

Finally, Mullan — who recently joined the cast of The Witcher final seasons as the new Vesemir — will play Ser Eustace Osgrey, head of House Osgrey.

Each acotr will serve as a primary character that Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall (Peter Claffey) and Prince Aegon “Egg” Targaryen (Dexter Sol Ansell) encounter on this upcoming adventure.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1 told the story of Dunk and Egg as they set out from the Ashford tournament on horseback to explore the world, now officially as hedge knight and squire as we saw on the finale.

Previously, co-creator and showrunner Ira Parker hinted (strongly) that Season 2 will take these characters to Dorne.

The general premise of the tale (which, as cited above, will be based on the book “The Sworn Sword” — involves Ser Duncan’s time as a sworn sword to Ser Eustace and a local feud with Lady Rohanne.

“It’s really interesting seeing reactions to the work that we’ve done so far,” Parker told Entertainment Weekly during Season 2 filming. “But at the end of the day, that’s the enjoyment of being a fan. I have no agenda in this, you know? I wanna tell good stories about these characters that I love, and I want it to be fun. That’s the goal.”

Look for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 2 to premiere some time in 2027.

We have shocking news to report out of Louisiana today.

Misty Roberts, the former mayor of DeRidder, Louisiana has been convicted of having sex with a 16-year-old boy.

Local news reports that it took the jury less than an hour to come back with a guilty verdict.

That’s not too surprising, as there was a mountain of evidence in this case.

For starters, the victim took the stand and testified that he had sex with Roberts at a pool party in 2024.

At the time, he was just 16 years old, and she was still the mayor of DeRidder.

And the case against Roberts continued to build from there.

At one point, Roberts’ daughter took the stand and gave testimony, saying she witnessed her mom and the victim “on top of each other.”

Another witness testified that she heard Roberts’ son shouting in fury about the fact that his mother “effed” his best buddy.

And at one point, the victim’s mother texted Roberts about the possibility that she may have gotten pregnant.

Roberts assuaged the mom’s fears, not by saying she’d never had sex with her son, but instead by revealing that she was on birth control at the time.

So yeah, the former mayor’s defense team was really fighting an uphill battle here.

And Roberts either wasn’t offered a plea deal, or she didn’t accept the terms.

After being found guilty of two felony charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile, Roberts is facing 17 years behind bars.

She stepped down as mayor of DeRidder shortly after her arrest in 2024.

Sadly, this is just one of many high-profile stories about abuse of minors in recent weeks.

A murder-suicide is always a tragedy.

But when Kynath William Terry Jr. allegedly marched into the hospital maternity ward and murdered his wife and then himself, he also created an orphan — and two grieving families.

This is a senseless horror.

Families are scrambling to explain what happened. And the hospital is looking into preventing this from ever happening again.

On Sunday, March 1, a horrific shooting took place at Homewood, Alabama’s Brookwood Hospital.

The victim was a patient at the hospital’s Women’s Center.

24-year-old Precious Johnson had just given birth. She was the victim, police say, of a murder.

She was the only victim. But she was not the only target of gunfire.

Authorities report that her husband, 19-year-old Kynath William Terry Jr., also died — having shot his wife multiple times before turning his weapon on himself.

Hospital maternity wards are not necessarily common sites for a murder-suicide.

However, it appears that the couple had been having marital difficulties.

Johnson reportedly did not want her husband or in-laws present for the delivery.

It reportedly came to a surprise to the aforementioned in-laws that Kynath was violent.

Similarly, it is unclear if this murder-suicide was the first incidence of violence or simply the final escalation. In most cases (about 75%) of spousal murder-suicides, it is the latter.

Naturally, in addition to grieving (and bewildered) family members and loved ones, a man shooting his wife multiple times and then killing himself has shaken the hospital.

Danne Howard is the president of the Alabama Hospital Association.

She spoke to multiple outlets, including WVTM and WBRC, following this senseless act of violence.

“There are a few places in our world where we should feel safe — at church, our hospitals, and our homes,” Howard told WBRC.

“Unfortunately, things happen and we do not feel safe anymore,” she acknowledged.

“We want to assure the public that our hospitals and our health care providers consider safety just as important as providing quality health care,” Howard emphasized.

WVTM conducted a walkthrough of the hospital’s maternity area the day after the shooting.

The reporter and camera operator were not stopped or challenged during their route, despite the presumably heightened sense of alert.

It is possible or even likely that a reporter with a camera operator were noticed but not flagged as suspicious amidst a breaking news story. (That, in and of itself, can be a security concern.)

We can also point out that a casual walkthrough will likely become more difficult in the future, as a direct result of this unthinkable crime.

Additionally, maternity ward murder-suicides are generally less likely to spawn copycats than other forms of shootings.

The terror of murdering your partner is different than the terror of slaughtering a room full of strangers, even if the two crimes famously overlap at times.

People who murder their partners are often motivated by a sudden change or loss of control, coupled with a fear of how their image or reputation will change.

Was Johnson planning to leave her husband? Had she already left?

Perhaps the investigation will turn up answers. For now, we’re heartbroken for her, her newborn, and for her entire family that she was unable to leave that marriage alive.
