As we previously reported, Britney Spears was arrested on DUI charges on Wednesday night.

Britney was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital after her arrest, where her blood was drawn to determine her BAC.

Insiders say she was at .06, which is below the legal limit, but driving erratically after drinking (as Brit allegedly was) can result in DUI charges.

As new information about the incident continues to surface, we’ve learned that Britney was allgedly weaving in and out of lanes and caught the attention of a California Highway Patrol officer.

Insiders have also revealed that Spears cried during her short time in jail and appeared “highly emotional” throughout her arrest.

Now, we’re learning that family and friends are concerned, as the arrest is reportedly just the latest in a long line of troubling incidents for Britney.

In fact, according to a new report from Page Six, police have been called to Britney’s house 14 times in the past two years alone.

To be fair, the most recent call was for trespassing in progress around midnight on Oct. 23, 2025.

And several of the calls, including one on March 21, was logged as a silent alarm.

But in some cases, it seems that the caller was concerned about Britney herself, not her property.

The most recent well-being check occurred on September 2025.

Two well-being checks were logged in the month of November 2024.

The nature and outcome of these calls are unclear.

But an average of seven 911 calls in a single year is highly unusual, especially in such an affluent, secluded neighborhood.

Britney was freed from her conservatorship in 2021, and she’s experienced quite a few ups and downs in the years since.

“She was incredibly emotional,” a source told Page Six of her arrest, adding, “It’s been a very hard couple of months.”

Spears is due back in court in May, at which time, she will presumably enter a plea.

Here’s hoping that she’ll soon be able to find the kind of peace she’s been seeking since childhood.

The following post must begin with an obvious caveat:

Savannah Guthrie has far bigger things to worry about these days than the state or future of her career.

As you’ve very likely heard about by now, the journalist’s mother, 84-year old Nancy Guthrie, has been missing for over a month now.

In a shocking and troubling turn of events, new reports indicate she may have been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel.

We certainly can’t verify this speculation at the moment — but we do know that the long-running anchor returned to the morning show’s studio on March 5 for the first time since she stepped back from the production amid the search for her missing mother.

According to People Magazine, Guthrie thanked the staff and crew for all of their love, prayers and support and for “caring about my mom as much as I do” during her visit.

She added, in part:

“I wanted you to know that I’m still standing, and I still have hope, and I’m still me. And I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be. I’m holding onto my faith. I still believe. And as my mom would say, ‘where else would I go?’”

The co-anchor, who has been with the program since 2011, also made her intentions (or her hopes, perhaps) clear:

“I have every intention of coming back. I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to. You’re my family. And, I would like to try.”

Guthrie, of course, has been absent from the air since her mother vanished. But she hasn’t been absent from the headlines.

In February, Savannah Guthrie posted a video in which she offered $1 million to anyone who is able to provide information regarding the whereabouts of Nancy.

“We need to know where she is. We need her to come home,” Savannah said in a video released on Instagram and other platforms, adding:

“Someone out there knows something that can bring her home. Somebody knows. All of the information about this reward and the details are in the caption below. You can call the 1-800 tipline. You can be anonymous if you want. And we are begging you to please come forward now.”

During her stop by the set on Thursday, Guthrie hugged everyone on site.

Her friend and colleague Dylan Dreyer then led a “beautiful” group prayer for everyone, which began as follows:

“We’re here holding hands as a family, in a place where we don’t understand why this is happening…. It is not too bold to ask God for the biggest miracles every day.”

A show spokesperson has confirmed most of this reporting.

“Savannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her TODAY colleagues,” this individual says in a statement.

“While she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home.”

Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones also discussed Savannah’s visit during the show’s fourth hour.

“In her perfect way, she talked to us, hugged every single person in this room, the crew,” Jones told viewers. “She said she has the intention to return to the show. Even though it feels like the hardest thing to do, it’s also her home.”

Until this occur, Hoda Kotb will continue to play a role on Today.

“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support,” Guthrie said in a February 2 message. “Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear Nancy.”

In a shocking development, Donald Trump has fired Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

The move comes amid rampant criticism and calls for Noem to be impeached.

The former South Dakota governor was at the center of numerous scandals and controversies during her short time as DHS chief.

“I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected United States Senator from the Great State of Oklahoma, Markwayne Mullin, will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS), effective March 31, 2026,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Thursday afternoon, adding:

“The current Secretary, Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results (especially on the Border!), will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security

“Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida. I thank Kristi for her service at ‘Homeland.’

It’s unclear why the president felt the need to place scare quotes around the name of the department.

From there, Trump went on to praise Noem’s replacement, Senator Markwayne Mullin from Oklahoma.

“Serving 10 years in the United States House of Representatives, and 3 in the Senate, Markwayne has done a tremendous job representing the wonderful People of Oklahoma, where I won all 77 out of 77 Counties — in 2016, 2020, and 2024!” he wrote, adding:

“As the only Native American in the Senate, Markwayne is a fantastic advocate for our incredible Tribal Communities.

“Markwayne will work tirelessly to Keep our Border Secure, Stop Migrant Crime, Murderers, and other Criminals from illegally entering our Country, End the Scourge of Illegal Drugs and, MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN.”

Noem’s appointment to the post was controversial from the start, and she became an even more divisive figure in recent months.

The shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis were a tipping point that led even members of Trump’s party to express misgivings about Noem.

Earlier this week, Noem testified before the Senate, and both Democrats and Republicans were highly critical of her job performance.

At one point, GOP Senator John Kennedy grilled Noem about a $220 million ad campaign in which she urged undocumented immigrants to self-deport.

“How do you square that concern for waste — which I share — with the fact that you have spent $220 million running television advertisements that feature you prominently?” Kennedy asked, according to CBS News.

It was one of many questions to which Noem failed to offer a satisfactory response.

Oh no!

Following Britney Spears’ DUI arrest, she spent time behind bars before being released.

A new report sheds light on her emotional state and her behavior while awaiting release.

Another report describes exactly how her driving caught the attention of police.

Britney Spears reportedly cried during her DUI booking

As we reported, police arrested Britney for a DUI on Wednesday evening, around 9:30 PM.

She was only booked at 3:02 AM.

Hours later, at 6:07 AM, Britney was finally released from custody.

A lot of scrutiny has gone into her driving, even in circumstances where she was fleeing cameras.

But this is clearly a low moment for the beloved singer. How did she take it?

TMZ now reports that Britney was apparently “crying” during her booking.

According to their sources, the singer’s behavior was perfectly out of the ordinary.

The only remarkable thing — aside from who she was — was that she was “crying a lot” during the process.

Crying can serve multiple functions. It is not uncommon as a result to the shock and humiliation of an arrest.

Additionally, if Britney was under the influence of something like alcohol — which we of course do not know to be the case — then that could make someone more likely to cry.

Presumably, she did not spend the entire nine hours tearful. But bookings can be particularly humiliating.

Her vehicle was allegedly ‘speeding’ and swerving

A second report, this time from Page Six, shed light upon the alleged driving behavior that police say prompted the arrest.

“Black BMW sedan in and out of lanes… speeding,” the dispatch audio claims. “2026 convertible out of LA.”

An officer requests: “Can we send all units down towards this area, please?”

“This is a 2026 black BMW convertible,” the voice describes before the announcement that the vehicle has been pulled over comes.

“Talking with the driver,” a voice reports. “Driver is out of the vehicle.”

Many people are asking the same question: alleged drinking aside, why would someone of Britney’s means ever drive themselves?

As unthinkable as it sounds, some people like driving. But there’s more to it than that.

For most of her adult life, Britney was kept under the thumb of a tyrannical conservatorship that controlled her healthcare, her travel, her career … and also largely prevented her from driving.

It seems likely that Britney feels tired of being driven everywhere — that she associates it with a broader loss of freedom.

Perhaps part of the reason for her jailhouse tears was the fear that this mistake (and, to be clear, this was a mistake) endangers her human rights.

Let’s not lose the plot, folks

Every time that Britney has a “misstep,” whether it’s slightly cringe dancing on Instagram or a report of rule-breaking on a private plane, the worst in our society call to reinstate her conservatorship.

Britney’s conservatorship was a violation of her human rights. These legal arrangements have a place — but not for people who are able to campaign for their own freedom.

Certainly, some of these same malefactors are once again beating the conservatorship drums — hoping that a DUI is enough to return Britney to her gilded cage.

Driving while intoxicated, as police accuse Britney of doing, is not okay. It endangers people. It is a mistake.

But the penalty for a DUI is usually, like, a fine. A suspended license. That sort of thing. Britney should not lose her freedom, have her life ripped away from her, over this mistake.

And we should all be vigilant for those with bad intentions who try to push for just that.

It’s understandable for someone in her shoes to want to simply disappear.

Following the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sarah Ferguson has all but vanished.

Reports have placed her location in Switzerland, England, the UAE, and now Ireland.

Where is her real location? Is she hiding out of shame, for privacy, or to avoid legal obligations?

Where on Earth is she?

For weeks, Andrew’s ex-wife has more or less been in hiding.

In January, reports placed “Fergie” in Switzerland. Apparently she was staying at a famous Swiss clinic.

This after her brief appearance at her granddaughter’s December 12 Christening last year.

After she apparently played hopscotch across a hemisphere, she may be staying at an Irish resort.

The Daily Mail reports that she’s been residing in a wellness retreat in Donegal. (That’s in Northeastern Ireland, right on the border with English-occupied Northern Ireland.)

There is debate about whether Ferguson remains there.

Some have also suggested that she or someone close to her may have leaked this location to quiet the search.

For years, Ferguson’s mother resided in Argentina.

That seems to be as good of a guess as any. Others have suggested various resorts and getaways in Asia.

Simply put, Ferguson doesn’t want to be found. She doesn’t want to talk about Andrew or about her own ties to Epstein.

Why is she hiding?

Despite appearances (this is clearly a woman who has spent a lot of time in the sun), Ferguson is only 66 years old.

It’s likely that her visits to clinics have more to do with strict privacy and plush accommodations. That, however, is merely social media speculation.

What we do know is that Ferguson has weathered scandals before.

Years before her current troubles, she had an earth-shaking bribery scandal.

(Memorably, she fumed and stormed out of a 60 Minutes Australia interview when it came up.)

The thing is that, unlike her loathsome ex-husband, Ferguson has a reputation for being charming in and out of interviews. (With some exceptions, of course.)

In the past, she has been able to humble herself on camera and then pivot.

It makes for good television. Interviewers eat it up. And she gets to sweep scandals under the rug that way.

This time, it’s not working. It doesn’t appear that any major networks are willing to give Ferguson a platform for her brand-recovery tour.

If she can’t get ahead of the narrative, then her next best option is arguably to hide. Even if hiding becomes the story.

Is there a more practical reason for hiding?

Some have suggested that Ferguson might need to testify in court against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

(Notably, the UK does not have spousal privilege like US courts do — spouses can be compelled to testify against each other. Even in the US, that privilege has exceptions.)

It is unclear what she might know about him. How much would crown prosecutors (yes, that’s what they’re called) need to ask?

Similarly, it is unclear how long Ferguson can afford to stay abroad. She leads a famously expensive lifestyle.

If there’s one thing that we’ve learned in recent years, it’s that the worst rich people alive tend to befriend each other. Her couch-surfing is likely to remain lavish — for as long as she can keep it up.

For months, Rep. Tony Gonzales (Texas) denied having an affair with Regina Santos-Aviles, the 28-year-old congressional staffer who committed suicide by setting herself on fire last year.

Now, amid a House Ethics Committee investigation into the matter, Gonzales has finally come clean.

Speaking with conservative pundit Joe “Pags” Pagliarulo, Gonzales confessed to the affair, but promptly assured viewers that it’s okay, as God has forgiven him.

“I made a mistake, and I had a lapse in judgment, and there was a lack of faith, and I take full responsibility for those actions,” he told the radio host.

“Since then, I’ve reconciled with my wife, Angel. I’ve asked God to forgive me, which he has, and my faith is as strong as ever,” Gonzales continued, adding:

“I had absolutely nothing to do with her tragic passing. And in fact, I was shocked just as much as everyone else.”

Earlier this week, Gonzales faced off in a primary with challenger Brandon Herrera.

The two advanced to a special election as neither gained the required 50 percent of the vote to secure the nomination.

“2 weeks ago this man called me a liar because I accused him of committing the heinous acts that he just publicly admitted to doing. Is there anyone left who still trusts this now objectively proven liar?” Herrera tweeted in response to Gonzales’ long-delayed confession.

As CBS News reports, the House of Representatives’ code of conduct says lawmakers “may not engage in a sexual relationship with any employee of the House who works under the supervision of the Member.”

The code bans “unwelcome sexual advances or conduct” toward staff.

Gonzales may be on the hook for that as well, as text messages obtained by CBS show that he once asked Santos-Aviles to send him “a sexy pic” and she replied, “This is going too far boss.”

When Santos-Aviles replied, “You don’t really want a hot picture of me.”

In another text, Santos-Aviles, who was also married, wrote to a friend, “I had an affair with our boss and I’m fine.”

During the months when he was still aggressively denying the affair, Gonzales also repeatedly bashed Santos-Aviles’ widow.

Gonzales further alleged that “within hours” of Santos-Aviles’ death, her husband contacted his office to inquire about “her death benefits and how he could gain access to her retirement fund.”

“It was eerie. It was creepy,” Gonzales said.

He also alleged that the widower might have been gay or engaging in an affair himself.

Numerous members of Congress from both parties have called on Gonzales to step down.

We have shocking news out of Los Angeles today, as Britney Spears has been arrested on DUI charges.

The pop icon was handcuffed and taken into custody after being arrested in Ventura County, California Wednesday night.

She was reportedly booked at 3 am and released just after 6 am this morning.

According to TMZ, Britney was pulled over at around 9:30 pm on Wednesday night.

It’s unclear what may have prompted police to pull her over.

A source tells TMZ that Britney was taken to the hospital to have her blood drawn after her arrest. The source also claims that Spears’ BAC was .06, which is under the legal limit of .08, but that has yet to be confirmed.

Spears is scheduled for a court date on May 4, at which time she will presumably enter her plea.

Britney appears to have deleted her Instagram account in the wake of her arrest.

“This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time,” Spears’ manager, Cade Hudson, tells TMZ.

“Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being.”

This is not the first time that Britney has been in trouble with the law, nor is it the first time that she has been suspected of driving under the influence.

In October of last year, Page Six revealed video of Spears leaving a restaurant in Thousand Oaks, California and entering her BMW as several people apparently tried to stop her.

In 2007, she faced misdemeanor charges in connection with an alleged hit-and-run in Los Angeles.

The charges were dropped after Britney paid off the owner of the other car, and her trial for driving without a license resulted in a mistrial due to a hung jury.

However, the incident was one of the factors that led to Spears’ conservatorship and the loss of custody of her two children.

Britney spent several years under the control of her father and other parties after a judge determined that she was unable to properly care for herself.

The conservatorship was finally lifted in 2021. The situation gained widespread media attention, with many fans and activists calling for Spears to be freed.
