We have tragic news to report from the world of television today.
Jennifer Eckhart, a former Fox Business producer who became known for a highly publicized legal battle with former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, has died at the age of 36.
Eckhart was found dead at her home in Martin County, Florida, on Saturday, September 19, according to a report from TMZ.
Martin County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Christine Christofek said Eckhart appeared to have died by suicide.
The circumstances surrounding her death have not been fully detailed publicly.
TMZ reports that a pocket knife was found by Eckhart’s body.
Eckhart spent several years working behind the scenes at Fox, eventually becoming an associate producer at Fox Business.
She later left the network and built a new career as the host of the podcast REINVENTED, which featured conversations with people in business, sports, and entertainment who had overcome significant obstacles.
The podcast’s most recent episode was released in March and featured former Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg.
But Eckhart’s name became widely known in 2020 after she filed a lawsuit accusing Henry of sexual assault.
Eckhart alleged that Henry sexually assaulted her during their time working together and said she feared his position at the network could damage her career.
Henry denied Eckhart’s allegations and maintained that their relationship was consensual.
Fox News fired Henry in July 2020 following an investigation into a complaint involving alleged sexual misconduct.
Eckhart’s legal battle continued for years, with her claims against Henry eventually being settled. Her separate claims against Fox News were dismissed, with a federal appeals court later upholding that outcome.
Eckhart continued speaking publicly about her experience after leaving Fox. In a 2020 interview, she described feeling afraid to come forward while working at the network.
In the years that followed, however, she appeared to be focused on building something beyond the legal case that had brought her national attention.
Through REINVENTED, Eckhart interviewed prominent figures about setbacks, career challenges, and starting over. The show’s concept mirrored the path she had taken herself, moving from television production into podcasting and creating a platform of her own.
Now, news of her death has once again placed Eckhart’s name in the spotlight — this time for a deeply tragic reason.

Well, at least someone is glad that the Kansas City Chiefs are back at the top of their game.
The rest of the country might be rolling their eyes at the prospect of another year of Chiefs dominance, but newlywed Taylor Swift is loving every minute of it.
Tay was on hand Sunday night as the Chiefs edged out the Indianapolis Colts in overtime and Travis scored his first touchdown as a married man.
And his wife had a rather memorable way of celebrating.
Patrick Mahomes connected with Kelce for a 13-yard touchdown in the first quarter, giving Kansas City an early 10-7 lead.
The NBC broadcast then cut to Taylor in the suite, where she was celebrating enthusiastically alongside family members.
In a memorable celly moment of her own, Taylor pointed directly at her wedding ring.
Yes, after all these years of watching Travis find the end zone, she wanted to make absolutely certain everyone knew that this particular touchdown belonged to her husband.
“That’s my husband!” Taylor seemed to shout during the celebration. We couldn’t hear her on the broadcast, but we could certainly read her lips.
Hey, subtlety has never exactly been the name of the game when it comes to Taylor and Travis. And we’re fine with that.
The couple, who began dating in 2023, got married at Madison Square Garden earlier this summer.
Taylor has since continued showing up to support Travis and the Chiefs, and Sunday marked her second consecutive appearance at Arrowhead this season.
It remains to be seen if she’ll skip the Chiefs’ away games, as she did last season.
Travis, meanwhile, reminded everyone that he can still make plenty of noise on the football field.
The 36-year-old tight end finished the game with nine catches for 101 yards and a touchdown. His score was his first of the season after he caught three passes for 71 yards in Kansas City’s season-opening victory over the Denver Broncos.
And while the Chiefs ultimately needed overtime to defeat the Colts 33-30, Travis’ touchdown gave Taylor an early reason to celebrate.
The game also provided another reminder that Taylor and Travis remain one of the NFL’s most closely watched couples.
It’ll likely be Travis’ last season in the NFL — and clearly, he and Taylor intend to make the most of it.

Jinger Duggar is now podcasting without her husband and opening up more about her life.
Together with Joy, she revealed that she has a learning disability.
Jinger’s dyslexia wasn’t caught and diagnosed as part of her cult-approved homeschooling curriculum.
Instead, it even impacted the way that Jinger engaged with her faith, right down to reading the bible.

On the second official episode of the Call Your Sister podcast, Jinger and Joy-Anna Duggar discussed growing up.
They explored a few topics, from phases (of course using the “seasons” in-group language) to first crushes (when Jinger was 9, she had a crush on an older man she referred to as a “teacher,” though she acknowledges that he cold have been a teen at the time).
Jinger also disclosed that she has dyslexia, a learning disability that interferes with reading.
Had she attended anything resembling an actual school, it’s likely that this would have been identified in childhood.
Instead, Jinger learned her own workarounds … but it really interfered when it came time for Jinger to read the bible.
When Jinger was around 12 years old, she shared, she sat down to read her religion’s sacred text from cover to cover.
That makes a lot of sense for a Christian (or a non-Christian looking to better understand our heavily culturally Christian society) to do, but Jinger discovered that this was a challenge.
Referring to this plan as part of the “season of life” that she was in at the time, Jinger tried to explain.
“I [was] just determined to read it from start to finish within two months,” she shared.
“And somehow I relied on audio Bibles,” Jinger revealed, “‘cause I have dyslexia.”
‘I know how hard it is for me to read out loud’
“Never been, whatever they say, diagnosed,” Jinger Duggar quickly admitted.
Due to our nation’s healthcare system, many people do not receive a diagnosis that could better explain their lives or open access to accommodations that they need in order to thrive.
“But I know how hard it is for me to read out loud,” she shared.
“Now, reading aloud is different than reading it like looking at it,” Jinger specified, “but it still is hard.”
Jinger acknowledged: “So my comprehension is terrible.”
The primary argument for sending children to actual schools instead of condemning them to homeschooling doesn’t really involve diagnosing things like dyslexia or ADHD or left-handedness or other traits that a teacher might recognize but a parent might not. It’s not even on the Top 5 list.
But it is on the list. And, looking on social media, it doesn’t seem that anyone is surprised that Jinger’s struggles with reading slipped by Michelle.
When your priorities are indoctrination and isolation, entire academic topics can leave the curriculum, and a learning disability or other brain difference can easily go unnoticed — or, worse, blamed on the child.
It’s good that Jinger knows herself well enough as an adult to identify that she has dyslexia.
When kids with dyslexia learn to “work around” their reading difficulties, they often engage in guesswork — learning the shapes and sizes of words instead of phonics. That’s not the same as reading.

Unfortunately, the chilling accusations that Brittany Cartwright made against Jax Taylor were only the tip of the iceberg.
She accused the Vanderpump Rules star of violent threats and assault.
In a detailed court filing, Brittany is sharing a broader catalogue of his alleged behavior, and she allegedly has evidence to back up her claims.
Jax claims that she’s trying to sabotage his alleged sobriety, but that doesn’t seem to be her motive.

Fair warning: very part of this is upsetting, and includes allegations of violence, violent threats, use of slurs, and more from a former romantic partner.
Recently, Brittany Cartwright secured a temporary restraining order (TRO) against Jax Taylor.
The former couple’s contentious divorce includes ugly custody disputes involving their young child.
RadarOnline reports on the details of Brittany’s allegations, which include Jax allegedly threatening to “gut her like a f–king fish” and to “f–king kill” her.
These threats and more came during an alleged furniture-throwing attack. Brittany shared evidence of what she says were injuries that she sustained during her ex’s tantrum.
In court documents, Brittany accused Jax of “coercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, gaslighting, and even physical violence.”
She also accused him of using child-support and spousal-support to intimidate her following their 2024 split.
In her filing, she says that Jax habitually “confronts me during custody-related interactions.”
As a result, Brittany shared with the court, she feels “so deeply concerned about Cruz being exposed to any escalation or retaliation.” Cruz is the former couple’s 5-year-old son.
Brittany has attempted to get sole custody of their child, but will have to make her case at a future hearing.
Some of the alleged verbal abuse took place in front of their child
According to Brittany Cartwright, Jax Taylor has bombared her with vicious insults. At times, in front of their child. At times, in public.
She says that he has called her “degrading and humiliating” names, including variations of “bitch,” “fat bitch,” “fatty,” and worse things that are unfit to print.
Additionally, he reportedly used the r-slur. That is unconscionable in any context.
Brittany has an alleged recording of incidents of verbal abuse — including a transcript which makes note of when Cruz is crying in the background.
Additionally, she says that Jax broke three of her iPhones, an iPad, and other property. She also accuses him of taking her $70,000 wedding ring.
Brittany and Jax married in 2019. At that time, they had been dating for four years.
In 2024, they broke up. Since then, harrowing allegations like these have been coming out — though never so many at once as in Brittany’s court filings, which of course need to catalogue everything.
Jax says that he is 21 months sober, simultaneously claiming that he takes “full responsibility” while also disputing what Brittany has to say.
(Sometimes, people will claim — truthfully or otherwise — to now be sober, hoping that this gives them a clean slate over past behavior. It does not.)
It sounds like this ugly breakup isn’t going to stop being contentious any time soon.

Patrick Clancy is preparing to become a father again.
Patrick and his wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, are expecting their first child together, marking a major new chapter for the couple after the devastating loss of Patrick’s three children with his former wife, Lindsay Clancy.
The news comes just one day after Patrick and Rachel opened up about their lives during an emotional 60 Minutes interview.
During the interview, CBS correspondent Ross Douthat appeared to hint that the couple was planning to start a family. On Monday, he clarified the remark during an appearance on CBS Mornings.
“They are having a child,” Douthat confirmed during an interview with Nate Burleson.
Patrick has previously spoken about wanting to preserve the memory of his late children — Cora, Dawson, and Callan — as he moves forward with his life.
During the 60 Minutes interview, Patrick discussed the possibility of someday telling his future children about their older siblings.
“I can’t wait to tell them about their brothers and sister,” he said.
It’s a particularly emotional sentiment given everything Patrick has endured since January 2023, when his three young children died at the family’s Massachusetts home.
Lindsay was subsequently charged in connection with the deaths. Her murder trial ended in a mistrial earlier this month after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict.
Patrick has continued to speak publicly about his children and the impact their deaths have had on his life. He also testified during Lindsay’s trial, where he recalled the devastating aftermath of the tragedy.
Now, Patrick is beginning another chapter with Rachel.
The couple married earlier this year after meeting in New York. Rachel, a physician specializing in reproductive medicine, has also publicly defended Patrick amid the intense scrutiny surrounding his relationship with Lindsay and the events leading up to the trial.
During the interview, Rachel pushed back against conspiracy theories surrounding Patrick and their relationship.
“I don’t understand how the story has been so twisted,” she said.
Rachel added that Patrick is “the most selfless father and supportive partner.”
With a baby now on the way, Patrick and Rachel appear to be moving forward while keeping Cora, Dawson, and Callan firmly part of their family story.
And Patrick has already made clear that he intends for his future child — and any children who follow — to know all about the siblings they never got the chance to meet.

It’s probably safe to say that Ed Sheeran is having a rough September.
There are people who have it worse. Particularly in Gaza, which is sort of the whole point of the controversy.
Sheeran is condemning and calling out the atrocities against the Palestinian people, all while having seemingly shorn himself in shame.
In his on-stage statement, Sheeran broke down in apparent tears and shared that the backlash had him afraid for his life.

On Saturday, September 19, Ed Sheeran performed at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
He performed solo, after all of his supporting acts quit the show after Macklemore was iced out of the tour.
Before he got to singing (not even his backing band remained with him), he addressed the crowd.
“In these situations you really find out who your friends are. It’s been a weird week,” Sheeran acknowledged.
“It happened very quickly,” he admitted. “At the same time, I had so many people telling me to cancel this tour and so many people I’ve known for years and years and years they’re kind of backing away.”

When it came to continuing his tour, Sheeran said, it came down to the numbers.
“In the back of my mind, I saw the ticket sales for this gig and I didn’t see cancellations, I saw people buying tickets for this gig,” he claimed.
“Everyone’s telling me to cancel,” Sheeran shared, “and I’m feeling all of my friends and family and people I know abandon me.”
His cousin, Jethro Sheeran, publicly blasted him as a bad person on Thursday, September 17.
“I look at the end of the week and I see 50,000 people who haven’t abandoned me,” Sheeran announced with clear gratitude.
There are still problems with this statement, even if it’s an improvement
Though Ed Sheeran gave his fans a tribute, he also admitted to taking new security measures — including not stepping onto the B Stage in light of the controversy.
(Any controversy can be the excuse that someone with violent impulses uses to lash out, but realistically, anyone still attending his concerts at this point is presumably either a diehard fan or someone who got free tickets through work or someone who’d already bought tickets and just decided to go.)
He did speak about more important things, including that no one — including stadium owners — should get to preapprove the content of shows that play in their arenas.
(As we have previously noted, there may be First Amendment issues with the venues that involve governments in ownership and operation; when it comes to the privately owned arenas, including on owned by Robert Kraft, the actions are morally repugnant but likely legal.)
More importantly, Sheeran did condemn the ongoing slaughter of Palestinians, including children, in Gaza. That’s progress, up to a point. It didn’t feel like his focus, however.
At times, his use of passive voice sounded like how newspapers cover police shootings
Unfortunately, as Matt Bernstein points out in the video above, Sheeran calling the ongoing wholesale slaughter, maiming, kidnapping, and torture of Palestinians “complex” sort of betrays how little progress he’s made.
“If you don’t name a perpetrator, Israel, and a cause, Zionism, then no one gets held accountable and nothing changes,” Bernstein accurately pointed out.
Sheeran reading his statement off of a teleprompter is not necessarily a bad thing. Many people do not feel comfortable speaking on important topics without organizing their thoughts.
However, in the context of Sheeran’s caution, it feels like he made this statement while walking on eggshells — even though, as someone with an estimated net worth well into the 9 figures, it is difficult to imagine what he felt that he had to lose.
Perhaps the most troubling element of Sheeran’s statement is that, even after a couple of weeks of controversy, so much of what he said seemed to be aiming for sympathy — his security fears, his reassurance about his fans, his friends and family pulling away from him. Kind of like how Pink crashed out about her fear.
Macklemore was quick to emphasize that none of this is about him. Perhaps Sheeran should ditch the PR consultants and just learn about the plight of the Palestinian people.
