After this courageous choice, she’s back from Maine and hanging with friends once again.

According to some patrons at a tavern that she visited, Britney had a high chaos dinner. But is it true?
Even if the tavern has ‘dog’ in the name, why would you bark?
On Wednesday, May 13, Britney reportedly enjoyed a night out with friends at Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks, as Los Angeles neighborhood.
This news comes by way of TMZ.
Britney reportedly sat in a corner with a man and a woman, neither of whom were identified.
Allegedly, the singer spoke in raised voices with her dining companions, goofing around. At one point, there was even barking — which we can now explain.
Witnesses told the tabloid that the scene was chaotic and “kind of sad,” even if they also complimented Britney’s appearance.
According to one restaurant patron, Britney walked past the table while carrying a knife.
This is a normal thing to do in a restaurant — especially a “laid back neighborhood tavern” as the place brands itself, where needing an extra utensil might involve getting up and fetching (or returning) it yourself.
For some reason, a witness claimed that they worried that Britney — a grown woman in her 40s — might accidentally stab someone.
One sometimes wonders if constant news stories full of hand-wringing “concern” about her juggling prop knives or whatever have planted unfounded beliefs into people’s minds.
The witness described one actual bad thing from the dinner. Britney reportedly lit a cigarette inside and near the door, as if this were the Purge, but staff had her put it out.
What makes this more than a ‘woman eats dinner with friends’ story?
According to the report, the table was messy after the fact, and Britney did not eat much.
A witness even claimed that Britney and the man were “feeding each other,” with her allegedly telling the man: “I love you.”
That could be anything from a new love interest to a platonic friend.
In fact, people often feel most at peace and playful with a friend rather than with someone they’ve just started dating.
Interestingly, TMZ shared that many diners did not realize that it was Britney until after she left. One of the things about celebrities is that recognition is heavily contextual. If you don’t expect to see one of the most famous women on the planet two booths over, you likely won’t.

A representative for Britney followed up, speaking to TMZ about her dinner with friends.
“This is completely blown out of proportion. Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard,” the rep explained. “She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors.”
The statement continued: “At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half.”
Understandably, the rep lamented: “This constant attack on everything that she does and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop now.”
Britney’s representative is correct. While we’d love to hear about her cleaning up her table and not smoking indoors (or at all, obviously), one has to imagine that every time that she has an even less eventful dinner out, there are no headlines … which reinforces the idea that she’s some sort of loose cannon or whatever.

What should have been the happiest day of her life ended in unimaginable tragedy.
A Brazilian bride was allegedly murdered by her new husband just hours after the couple said “I do,” according to multiple reports.
Nájylla Duenas Nascimento, 34, was shot and killed on Saturday, May 9, after a violent argument broke out between her and her husband during their wedding celebration.
According to Brazilian outlets, Nascimento and her new husband, Daniel Barbosa Marinho, became involved in a heated confrontation that quickly escalated into physical violence.
Marinho, 55, has worked as a member of Brazil’s Municipal Guard since 1998, according to People.
Despite emergency responders rushing to the scene, Nascimento — a mother of three children from a previous relationship — was tragically pronounced dead during what had begun as her own wedding reception.
In a devastating detail, witnesses told local outlets that family members at the residence managed to safely remove all of the children from the home before the situation turned deadly.
Authorities allege the violence escalated when Marinho used his service weapon to shoot his wife before fleeing the scene.
According to reports, the initial gunshots were not fatal. However, investigators allege that Marinho later returned and fired at Nascimento again.
Shortly after her death, the suspect allegedly contacted the Municipal Guard himself to report the crime. He was later detained on and taken to the Second Women’s Defense Department, where he was placed in pretrial detention.
As officials investigated the scene, authorities reportedly recovered casings, projectiles, ammunition, and the weapon allegedly used in the shooting.
In a statement following the incident, the Municipal Guard of Campinas said it “deeply regrets the incident” and emphasized its commitment to combating violence in all forms.
“The corporation is fully cooperating with the Civil Police investigations and remains available to the authorities to provide all necessary clarifications,” a spokesperson said.

But this one has a celebrity twist.

The upcoming reality docuseries threatens to “pull back the curtain on the complete chaos, headline-making drama and heartfelt moments that come with raising 12 kids by six different moms.”
The teaser continues: “All while managing his booming career and complicated personal life.”
His career is booming? That’s new information to many.
“Get an inside look at how Nick Cannon navigates his wild, blended families with humor, vulnerability, and his genuine dedication to being a present father,” the blurb claimed.
“From million-dollar meetings to midnight diaper runs,” the teaser threatens.
The press release wants people to “think Kardashian-level glam meets relatable, messy modern parenting.”
According to the premise: “This is fatherhood, fame, and family.”
Cannon’s estimated net worth is in the tens of millions. That’s a lot, but arguably doesn’t amount to Kardashian glam. Unless the blurb is referring to Rob.
Sometimes, a reality TV series feels like a reward for bad behavior

You may have noticed a lot of news from various television upfronts this week.
Wednesday was Netflix’s.
Cannon’s new gig is likely to turn heads and earn scorn.
It isn’t just that he’s a Trump supporter with a history of antisemitic scandals. It’s also that people are really tired of Cannon making bad choices that impact his family and acting like it’s cute.
The rest of us so often forget Cannon’s litany of children, to the point where some struggle to believe that he doesn’t mess up his own children’s names from time to time.
He has 15-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Cannon recently admitted to a sexist double-standard when it comes to them dating. (To be fair, he wouldn’t want his daughter dating a guy like him, right?)
With Abby De La Rosa, Cannon has twins Zion and Zillion, plus another child named Beautiful Zeppelin.
With Brittany Bell, he has Golden Saigon, Rise Messiah, and Powerful Queen. With Bre Tiesi, he has Legendary Love.
With LaNisha Cole, he has Onyx Ice. With Alyssa Scott, he shares Halo — but they were also parents to Zen, who died at 5 months old in 2021.
Whatever critics may say about Cannon himself, we wish his children the best. With life, with their upcoming reality TV fame, and in many cases, with their name change filings as adults.

A Tennessee man named Dalton Eatherly — better known online as Chud the Builder — has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.
The controversial influencer was taken into police custody on Wednesday after he allegedly shot a man outside a courthouse.
Police were called to the scene after receiving a call indicating that two men had exchanged gunfire.
Eatherly allegedly livestreamed the entire incident, claiming that he was jumped outside of the courthouse.
According to TMZ, he was in court for a civil suit pertaining to unpaid debts.
He told police that he accidentally shot himself during the altercation.
Eatherly has built a following by posting unabashedly racist content on social media.
“I had to defend myself by shooting him,” Eatherly said during the livestream, according to CNN.
He alleged that the victim was part of a group of men who were “laughing” and “pointing at me.”
“I have PTSD,” the victim allegedly remarked to Eatherly.
“He said, ‘You start saying all that chimp out s–t to me and ‘imma hit you,’ and he hit me, he started whaling on me,” Eatherly said.
CNN notes that Eatherly has made several racist videos in which he referred to Black people as chimps.
“It’s unfortunate that incidents like this are happening in our community,” Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson said in a statement.
“This kind of violence won’t be tolerated, and our office will work to make sure those responsible are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
The incident took place just days after Eatherly was arrested and charged with theft of services for allegedly skipping out on a nearly $400 tab in a Nashville restaurant.
He continued streaming throughout that entire incident, as well.

When Hayden Panettiere was a teenager, someone she trusted as a friend essentially served her up to a famous older man.
She has shared her story of getting away — but has not named the man or the accomplice who betrayed her.
The internet has been rife with speculation on both, with some suggesting that the latter might be a certain RHOBH alum.
But Diana Jenkins wants people to know that she’s not the culprit.

Years ago, Hayden Panettiere was friends with Diana.
There are photos of them hanging out and attending celebrity get-togethers.
This would have been while Heroes was airing, though admittedly after it got really bad.
And, of course, it was years before Diana became part of the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Internet sleuths quickly pointed to this (seemingly former) friendship, speculating that it could be Diana.

A spokesperson for Diana told TMZ on Wednesday, May 13, that internet detectives should look elsewhere.
“Diana has had to deal with false online rumors before,” the spokesperson began.
“And sadly,” the statement announced, “this is just another example of that.”
Her spokesperson continued: “So let me be 100 percent clear about this: It most certainly is not Diana.”
Diana’s indirect statement added: “And anyone who claims it is her will be sued.”
Beyond the statement, is there anything else to exonerate her?
Please keep in mind that, in her interview and in her book, Hayden does not name the woman.
Which means that she has not accused Diana of anything.
These are internet users on social media who are connecting the dots. Believing — or at least hoping — that Hayden’s betrayer will be someone obvious in her history.
However, even tweets singling out Diana seem to not fit the timeline that Hayden herself provided.
She was 18 when a woman hand-delivered her to a naked celebrity man. She was 20 — years later — when she and Diana were hanging out at parties.

Another issue is that people who have already read Hayden’s book note that the woman in question probably doesn’t match with Diana for another reason.
Diana is a beautiful woman, but she’s also older than Hayden.
In the book, readers report, it sounds like the woman in question is much closer to Hayden’s age.
We get that Diana’s presence on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Her spokesperson’s statement is also tone deaf — focusing more upon the internet rumors than on Hayden’s suffering.
But the real culprit is very likely someone else. We’d all like to know who this man is and who this woman is, but wild speculation probably doesn’t help.

Rewind about 15 years or so, and Spencer Pratt was a run-of-the-mill reality TV villain.
He famously burned through his The Hills earnings — including spend a massive sum on “therapeutic” crystals.
Now, he’s running to be mayor of Los Angeles. Unfortunately, we cannot rule out that he could win.
But it’s possible that telling one huge lie on the campaign trail could derail his run.
‘You can’t fake that’
The January 2025 Los Angeles fires were devastating.
Take it from someone who’s been in a “once in a century” disaster: cleanup and recovery from catastrophes like that take years.
But disaster and the long road to rebuilding can be very inviting for opportunists who want to ride the wave of anger and frustration by pretending that they can do better.
Pratt clearly hopes to capitalize on the horrific wildfire, insisting to CBS News and others that his reality TV antics were “strategic” and all in conjunction with producers.
“I’m being very strategic to win and save L.A., but there’s no strategy when you’re standing in an Airstream on your burned out town,” he claimed. “You can’t fake that.”
It turns out that you can, very much, fake living in an Airstream trailer.
TMZ exposed Pratt’s claim, noting that he has actually been residing in the Hotel Bel-Air for over a month. Rooms there can go for as much as $2,000 per night.
His wife, Heidi Montag, is with their children in Santa Barbara.
When confronted with what appears to be a transparent lie, Pratt told TMZ: “I have never told anyone I lived there.”
As you can see in the clip of his ad that this next video uses before debunking it, Pratt declared: “This is where I live.”
He argues that his campaign lie is ‘semantics’
“That is where I live,” Pratt insisted when confronted about his lie. “That’s where Karen Bass, Mayor Bass, burnt down my house.”
We should just interject and note that Mayor Bass did not start the wildfire. There are legitimate grievances against any politician, and some are unfairly blamed for slow recovery after a disaster.
Pretending that the mayor’s office committed arson seems, at best, childish.
“That is where I will live until I have a new house,” Pratt continued. “The Airstream is a temporary facility. A hotel is a temporary facility.”
Insisting that his lie was merely a technicality even after making it the heart of his campaign ads, he continued: “Where my kids are in Santa Barbara right now is a temporary housing — this is semantics.”

Pratt’s campaign has also drawn fire for a grotesque use of generative AI slop. It’s an odd choice for someone who is supposedly campaigning because of a natural disaster to support the tech that leads to worse climate and less available water.
One particularly malicious billboard appears to show a slop image of his own wife pushing a stroller through a homeless encampment, a blaze behind her, and “Zombieland” written in place of the Hollywood sign.
Vilifying the unhoused is a common sinister move. Likening them to the ravenous undead is particularly vile.
Despite Pratt’s obvious lack of qualifications and the things that have been transparently wrong with him, on and off of reality television, for a good two decades now … we cannot rule out that an unqualified reality TV dirtbag will win. It’s happened at higher offices than mayor.
Hopefully, the people of Los Angeles will see through both provable lies and incendiary slop and keep Pratt irrelevant. And perhaps someone can figure out where his funding is coming from.

Demi Moore has been working the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this week.
And the 63-year-old’s taut physique has received a very mixed response on social media.
Demi has always been a fitness aficionado, and her slender figure was on full display at Cannes.
But many have voiced concern that the beloved actress might be sending the wrong message.
As you can see, Demi looks slim, but certainly not unhealthy.
But when the New York Post published photos from Moore’s time at Cannes, commenters took issue with what they saw as her overly thin frame.
“Why are you trying to elevate anorexia? That’s sickening,” one commenter replied.
“The headline must just be an excuse to publish the photo and get the public commenting about the truth of what they see while the news outlet itself has plausible deniability to the celebrity (it’s a flattering description) who they want to still have access to,” another theorized.
“I love Demi Moore, but I am frightened for her. She looks like she is being eaten away from the inside,” a third chimed in, adding:
“She was one of the most badass actresses of our time.”
Conservative commentator Riley Gaines went so far as to remark, “She actually looks like she’s on the brink of death.”
That’s obviously an exaggeration, but some of the concerns for Moore’s health do seem to be legitimate.
Demi has been through a lot in recent years, and some of her fans seem to believe that all the stress has taken a toll.
Then again, she’s also experienced a career renaissance of late, so maybe Moore is fully in control, and this is exactly how she wants to look.
Whatever the case, feigning concern and using it as an excuse to comment on a public figure’s physique is a common tactic these days — and it seems that a lot of that is happening here.
