We have a bizarre story to report from the world of hip hop.
Authorities say Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane was among the victims allegedly kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint at a Dallas recording studio earlier this year.
And nine people, including fellow rappers Pooh Shiesty and Big30, have been federally charged in connection with the incident.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the victims were lured to Dallas on January 10 under the pretense of a recording contract meeting, a setup that prosecutors now describe as a coordinated armed ambush.
Federal prosecutors allege that Lontrell Williams Jr., better known as Pooh Shiesty, invited Gucci Mane and two others to a studio under the pretense of discussing business matters.
Instead, investigators say, the location became the site of a violent armed robbery.
According to the DOJ complaint, the suspects held multiple victims at gunpoint, forced a record label head to sign paperwork, and robbed others of cash, jewelry, and luxury items.
The complaint also says one victim was choked from behind until nearly unconscious, and that Big30 (Rodney Wright Jr.) allegedly blocked the studio door, preventing people from escaping as the robbery unfolded.
Eight of the nine alleged suspects were arrested this week in Dallas, Memphis, and Nashville, authorities say.
Among those charged publicly are Pooh Shiesty, Big30, and several others.
The DOJ says investigators used surveillance footage, cellphone data, fingerprint evidence, and social media posts to tie the suspects to the scene and the events leading up to the incident.
Officials have pointed to posts showing large amounts of cash and jewelry believed to have been stolen, as well data showing travel patterns from Memphis to Dallas in the days before the ambush.
All nine defendants are now charged with kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping under federal law — offenses that, if convicted, could carry sentences of up to life in prison, prosecutors say.
The FBI’s Dallas Violent Crimes Task Force is leading the investigation, with support from multiple federal, state, and local agencies, the Department of Justice said.
Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, is a major figure in hip hop whose influence stretches back decades and who helped shape trap music and Southern rap.
Pooh Shiesty was signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records imprint before the alleged incident, making the nature of the accusations especially bizarre.
For now, prosecutors are continuing their work as the case moves through the federal system, and authorities have said additional details may emerge as the investigation progresses.

As we previously reported, texts that Prince Harry sent to a woman named Charlotte Griffiths were revealed in court this week.
The texts were submitted as evidence in Harry’s privacy lawsuit against the publishers of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday.
The messages portray a very different side of the Duke of Sussex than the one we typically see in public.
In the texts, Harry makes flirty remarks to Charlotte, referencing their “movie snuggles” at a recent group weekend getaway.
She, in turn, refers to him using the nicknames “Mr. Mischief” and “H-Bomb.”
Now, these texts were sent in 2011 and 2012, long before Harry met and married Meghan Markle.
Still, it seems that Meghan is less than thrilled with the content of the messages — and with the new nickname that Harry has earned.
“This has led to Harry picking up the nickname ‘Flirty Harry’ because of the tone of those messages, and Meghan Markle is fuming that all of this is now doing the rounds,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online.
“Meghan feels it is embarrassing and frustrating, especially given how hard they have worked to control their narrative, and now these old conversations are being picked apart publicly,” the insider continues, adding:
“The fact that the messages come across as so playful and familiar has left Meghan particularly unhappy that this side of Harry is being highlighted in such a public way.”
It’s true that the messages depict a more laid back side of Harry
At one point, he wrote to Charlotte about missing a party and joked he would have enjoyed “drinking u under the table.”
And the line about “miss[ing] our movie snuggles” seems to suggest that these two were more than just friends.
We’re sure it’s not easy for Meghan to be confronted with this glimpse at her husband’s past.
But it’s important to note that this all took place before Harry was a married father of two.
While he may have had more freedom back then, we’re sure he’s much happier now.
And hopefully, Meghan feels assured of that truth every day.

For the second time in less than a month, there’s been a major shakeup within the Trump administration.
Early reports from several major outlets indicate that Attorney General Pam Bondi has been relieved of her duties.
Yes, that’s our nice way of saying she was fired.
And one outlet claims that Bondi “begged” to keep her job.
“She was unhappy and tried to change his mind,” a source close to the situation tells the Daily Mail.
While many might jump to the conclusion that Bondi was fired for her mishandling of the Epstein files, the Mail contends that she was let go due to a different scandal.
The outlet reports that Trump was frustrated with Bondi’s intervention in the situation surrounding Rep. Eric Swalwell’s relationship with a Chinese spy.
“She’s intervening in those matters. The White House wasn’t pleased she was intervening due to her personal friendship with Swalwell,” says one insider.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will reportedly assume Bondi’s position while the administration seeks a more permanent replacement.
EPA administrator Lee Zeldin has emerged as an early frontrunner to replace Bondi.
“Let’s hope it’s Zeldin,” one former Trump administration official told the Mail.
News of Bondi’s firing comes less than one month after Trump fired Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
It’s been a tumultuous week for former Trump cabinet members, thanks to new reports that Noem’s husband had a cross-dressing fetish, which led him into some strange social media communities.
Neither Bondi nor the Trump administration has spoken publicly about today’s decision as of this writing.

Who killed Nurul Amin Shah Alam?
Heartbreaking questions like these are usually a matter of combing for witnesses, analyzing physical evidence, and finding the culprit.
In this tragic case, it’s a matter of determining who is legally responsible for his death. Because we basically know the rest.
His death has been ruled a homicide. Now, someone needs to be held accountable for it.
Nurul Amin Shah Alam should be alive today
On February 15, 2025, Buffalo police arrested Mr. Alam after what appeared to be a misunderstanding.
Alam was a Rohingya refugee with legal status in the US. He used a cane to walk, and spoke very little English.
Following an incident where he walked while carrying a pair of poles, police tasered him and tackled him to the ground when he did not understand or respond to their commands. They charged him with assault.
He spent the next year in the Eerie County Holding Center. Reports say that he agreed to a plea deal that would make him ineligible for removal and deportation.
On February 19, 2026, Buffalo Police handed him over to Customs and Border Patrol.
CBP claims that Mr. Alam voluntarily accepted a “courtesy ride” to a closed Tim Hortons (a coffee shop chain). This seems like an odd story, on multiple levels.
CBP claims that they dropped Mr. Alam off at a “safe, warm location.” He was, however, unable to enter the locked building, and seemingly had no means of contacting his family.
Meanwhile, his family had no idea where to find him. CBP was, of course, no help.
His family and their attorney began the search, and filed a missing persons report.
On February 24, a woman’s 911 call indicated an unmoving man on her street — a man who had been alive and moving earlier that afternoon.
Mr. Alam’s body was positively identified on February 25. The outcry spanned the nation, spilling into Senate hearings and beyond.
‘Homicide’
On Tuesday, March 31, the Erie County Medical Examiner reached a determination on Mr. Alam’s cause of death.
The cause of death was “complications of a perforated duodenal ulcer precipitated by hypothermia and dehydration.”
Ulcer can be confusing, and public health officials clarified what this meant during the April 1 announcement of the findings.
In more simple terms, days of exposure to the extreme colds of Buffalo, NY in February, coupled with no access to food or water, caused a stress response that claimed his life.
The manner of death, the ME concluded, was homicide.
Another clarification is required, however.
The medical examiner’s evaluation shows that Mr. Alam’s death was the result of actions (or inactions) of others. That is a homicide.
However, homicide is also a legal classification — which is outside of the ME’s purview.
It is up to the office of the district attorney to determine whether criminal charges will be filed — and against whom.
There was an entire chain of custody of people who appear to have brought about Mr. Alam’s death. All because, his family says, he was lost in February 25 and using a pole to navigate.
Who was responsible for this senseless homicide?
Some point the finger at the police who approached, tasered, tackled, and arrested Mr. Alam while he was minding his business and trying to find his way home.
Others suggest that whoever contacted Customs & Border Patrol had to have known that they were endangering his life at the very least, even if they did not know his exact fate.
Many — perhaps most — blame CBP and the leadership, all of the way up to the top. Certainly, it was one of many issues that Congress brought up with disgraced former Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.
Realistically, it’s unlikely that law enforcement in New York can go after Donald Trump and Stephen Miller for orchestrating this cruel ethnic cleansing campaign. That and similar “Nuremberg 2” tasks will fall to federal authorities.
But, one hopes, authorities will at least bring some of the monsters behind Mr. Alam’s homicide to justice. Good things are possible, even in the face of the horrors.

We have new information about the events leading up to Tiger Woods’ latest DUI arrest.
As you’ve likely heard by now, the golf legend rolled his SUV in Jupiter, Florida last week, and police took him into custody after he exhibited “signs of impairment” in the wake of the accident
Now, police have released bodycam footage from Tiger’s arrest.
The video, released by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, captures Woods on the roadside talking with officers after the rollover, his black Land Rover on its side in the road.
At one point, Woods is heard telling deputies how the crash unfolded.
“I looked down at my phone and all of a sudden, boom,” Tiger says in the footage, describing why he lost control of the vehicle.
According to law enforcement at the scene, Woods appeared visibly impaired when deputies arrived.
Officers described him as sweaty and unsteady, with “bloodshot and glassy” eyes in the moments after the crash.
Deputies also say he had difficulty completing coordination exercises during field sobriety tests,
They later revealed that two pills identified as hydrocodone — a prescription opioid pain medication — were found in his pocket and collected as evidence.
Despite these observations, Woods told officers he had neither taken illegal drugs nor consumed alcohol and instead attributed the wreck to distraction.
Woods, 50, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI involving property damage and was held for several hours before being released.
He later pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charge.
In a public statement following the arrest, Woods acknowledged the seriousness of the situation and announced he would be stepping away from professional golf to focus on his health and seek treatment.
“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” he wrote, adding that he was committed to prioritizing his well-being.
The crash, which occurred while Woods was attempting to pass a truck, caused significant damage but did not result in serious physical injury to him or another driver involved.
Woods has been preparing for upcoming legal proceedings, and a judge recently granted his request to travel abroad for treatment, citing privacy concerns .
Woods’ legal team has stated that the decision would aid in the golfer’s recovery.
For now, the newly released body-cam footage adds another layer to the ongoing case, showing the moments immediately after the crash and the explanation Woods offered to officers on the scene.

But the world soon connected the dots.
The woman who procured victims for Jeffrey Epstein was now sharing a prison with the likes of Jen Shah and Elizabeth Holmes.
But the RHOSLC alum is out. What does Jen Shah have to say about her most notorious fellow inmate?

During her first interview since leaving prison, Jen Shah told People about life behind bars, about her crimes, and about her own sense of guilt.
(She did sound remorseful, even if she perhaps spent a little too much time explaining how she had trusted the wrong people.)
Last year, the Trump regime went to extraordinary measures to transfer disgraced criminal Ghislaine Maxwell to Camp Bryan, a minimum security prison.
That is unusual for a monster like Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence. It only makes sense when you learn that Maxwell had claimed to have no incriminating testimony regarding Trump’s participation in Epstein’s crimes.
Shah says that she and Maxwell had only “limited interactions” behind bars. And it doesn’t sound like she wanted to change that.
“I just feel like there should be a level of remorse for the victims,” Shah expressed.
“And she made it very publicly known — at least to Elizabeth and I — that there’s no remorse there,” she shared. “She outrightly said it.”
According to the fallen Bravolebrity, she recalled a specific instance when the victims were speaking on television.
Maxwell, she described, “was just in complete disregard for them.”
“And this is when they are pouring their hearts out in front of Congress for those files to be released,” Shah added. “To be so dismissive of that? That just didn’t sit with me the right way.”
What about the special privileges that Maxwell is getting?
Jen Shah recalled that “she was treated very well there.”
She detailed: “She was afforded things that nobody else was afforded, like private workout sessions, special meals, bottled water.”
All of this echoes previous reporting on Maxwell’s status after her silence earned Trump’s favor.
“Everybody witnessed it,” Shah claimed. “And I know that firsthand because I worked in [recreation] so I would have to clean things up.”
She added: “I was also asked for certain equipment because she was going to go work out late at night.”
Ghislaine Maxwell did not always have such luxurious accommodations.
That all changed after her meeting with Trump’s former personal attorney, who has since become a higher-up at the Department of Justice.
Suddenly, she was enjoying privileges that would be unheard of even for a white collar criminal — like Shah. But Maxwell is not a white collar criminal. She found victims for Epstein. She’s a monster.
It is stories like these that make us feel like America is a failed state. But it’s important that we not despair or give up, even when brazen corruption runs rampant.
We can reclaim our nation. We can punish the villains.
Her tone totally changes when discussing Elizabeth Holmes
In contrast to discussing Maxwell, Shah shared that she and Elizabeth Holmes — or “Lizzie,” as she calls her — are “good friends.”
“As another high-profile prisoner, there are just certain things you’re both dealing with, so you naturally come together in those instances,” the Bravolebrity reflected.
But they weren’t of the same mind when it came to acknowledging their crimes.
“I had to accept the mistakes that I made and take accountability,” Shah explained. “Elizabeth, she’s continued to defend her innocence while she’s been there.”
When she asked Holmes about her continued insistence, she recalled, Holmes “paused and said, ‘My kids. I want them to know that I’m innocent.’”

Phone calls in jails and prisons are almost never private.
Kendra Caldwell is finding that out the hard way, as multiple calls to her disgraced husband have leaked.
One of the latest pieces of Duggar audio show her giving Joseph some difficult-to-hear news.
He’s not her priority.
Her ‘babies’ were her ‘purpose’
People obtained the jailhouse phone call between Kendra and Joseph, the latter still being behind bars.
(As you may recall, mother-in-law Michelle bailed out Kendra a little over an hour after her arrest.)
Joseph was arrested on Wednesday, March 18. Two days later, on Friday, March 20, Kendra was arrested.
“I think Friday has probably been my hardest day, but that’s crazy to say because Wednesday was crazy hard,” she told her husband over the phone on Tuesday, March 24.
“But it’s just like, when you then take my babies from me,” Kendra explained. “They were who I was just going to pour my life into.”
During the call, Joseph assured Keddra that their four young children are her “purpose right now.”
Within the cult to which most of the Duggars belong, women and children are essentially property.
Kendra is a wife and a mother, and clearly struggles to understand her identity outside of this.
The cult is so strict in its ban of divorce that Anna Duggar is still married to Josh, the other disgraced son in the family.
This means that Kendra is essentially stuck, with her husband extradited to Florida and with her barred from contacting her kids until April 29 at the earliest.
‘We’ll just see where the rest of it leads us’
During another phone call, Kendra told Joseph that he was not her priority.
“I’m fighting for the kids,” she said, “and they’re my number one priority right now.”
Joseph seemed to agree.
He told his wife that he is “100% behind” her.
Joseph then affirmed that she “should be fighting for them the most.”
“I just want you to know, through all of this, whatever happens, that’s who’s coming first,” Kendra reiterated, as if worried that Joseph didn’t understand.
“Then,” she said, “we’ll just see where the rest of it leads us.”
Kendra continued: “And try to put the pieces together.”
From these calls, it really sounds like she is concerned that Joseph isn’t hearing what she’s trying to say. We heard a similar message when she told him that his parents had hired an attorney for her — and only for her.
Here, it sounds like she’s telling him that she’s going to try to regain custody of their kids, and that the outcome of his trial is his business.
Perhaps this was inevitable, given their twisted cult
Before the call was over, Kendra told Joseph that their four children love him.
Of course, they were already safely out of her custody by then after her arrest for child endangerment and false imprisonment.
These days, Kendra appears to be in hiding — somewhere that Jim Bob and Michelle stashed her away.
She’ll have to show up to court on April 29. Perhaps then, the public will learn more about her arrest and the charges that she is facing.
For now … this is a sad, awful, and not altogether surprising situation.
