The never-ending Taylor Frankie Paul drama continued today.

Unfortunately, for producers of both The Bachelorette and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, it’s not the sort of drama that translates to quality reality TV.

According to newly filed court documents, Taylor has filed for a temporary restraining order against Dakota Mortensen.

Taylor, of course, was filmed assaulting Dakota back in 2023.

She has repeatedly claimed that the video doesn’t tell the entire story and that she was the real victim of abuse.

In court documents filed this week, Taylor claims that there was a “pattern of abusive conduct and coercive control” in the relationship.

Shortly after the footage went public, ABC canceled Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette, an unprecedented move that cost the network tens of millions.

Indeed, police in Draper and West Jordan, Utah have confirmed that “allegations have been made in both directions.”

Last month, West Jordan police confirmed to People that there was an “active domestic violence case” involving both Taylor and Dakota, but the details are still unknown.

Reps for Taylor alleged that the video from 2024 “conveniently omits context.”

They also accused Dakota of leaking the footage and called its release a “reprehensible attempt [by Mortensen] to distract from his own behavior.”

“I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny,” Mortensen said in a statement.

He was initially awarded sole custody of the couple’s 2-year-old child

In the wake of the video’s release, Taylor lost custody of her youngest child.

In court today, a judge amended the agreement slightly, granting Taylor eight hours of supervised visitation time (per TMZ).

The judge has yet to rule on Taylor’s request for a temporary restraining order.

Since Taylor and Dakota have a kid together, they’ll never be able to fully remove themselves from each other’s lives.

But hopefully — given how much violence and drama there was in their relatively brief relationship — the exes will have minimal contact with one another going forward.

Donald Trump has been hurling insults at Joe Biden for years.

And like many of Trump’s worst impulses, that tendency is often applauded by members of his base.

But even some of the president’s supporters believe that he crossed the line with his latest remarks about his predecessor.

While addressing the media this week, Trump ranted against NATO members and other allies who have not offered to help the US reopen the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing conflict with Iran.

“You know who else didn’t help us? South Korea didn’t help us. We’ve got 45,000 soldiers in South Korea to protect them from Kim Jong Un, who I get along with very well,” the president began.

From there, Trump claimed that the North Korean dictator is a fan of his — which is really not the flex he seems to think it is — and pointed out that Kim was not a fan of Joe Biden’s.

“Do you notice, he said very nice things about me. He used to call Joe Biden a mentally r-tarded person, OK? So, don’t tell me about your stuff,” the president said.

“[Of] Joe Biden, he said, ‘He’s a mentally r-tarded person.’ He was so nasty to Joe Biden, it was terrible. But to me—he likes Trump.”

As multiple outlets have pointed out, there’s no record of Kim referring to Biden as “r-tarded.”

North Korean state media had referred to Biden an “imbecile” and a “fool of low IQ” after Biden criticized Kim as a “tyrant.”

But that’s just the kind of rhetoric that comes out of North Korea on a daily basis.

It’s worth noting that Kim has referred to Trump as a “dotard” (an insult for someone who’s pervceived as being old and slow), so they’re not exactly besties.

And that’s a good thing! Kim is a brutal dictator, and US presidents shouldn’t strive to be friends with them.

In other news, in his profanity-laced Easter Sunday social media post, Trump gave Iran until tonight to reach a ceasefire deal, otherwise, he says, the US will blow up their bridges and power plants.

It’s the kind of move that could result in a lasting global recession, but that might not be enough to stop us. Stay tuned!

Vanity Fair has been doing some editing, but it may be too little, too late.

During a Saturday Night Live cast interview, Chloe Fineman shared a startling anecdote.

She said that she was once fired from a job after pantsing a 6-year-old boy.

The backlash was swift. And selective editing doesn’t seem to be making that go away.

What job did she get fired from, and why?

In a recent video, SNL cast members played a game in which they guessed how well they know each other.

This kind of video usually crops up among besties or romantic partners, but also works for castmates. (Especially funny castmates!)

In addition to Fineman, the video featured Mikey Day, Sarah Sherman, Ashley Padilla, Jane Wickline, and James Austin Johnson.

The trouble began when Fineman asked her castmates if any of them could guess what job fired and then rehired her when she was only 16 — and why.

There were various guesses, most suspecting a restaurant or retail gig. In reality, she was a camp counselor.

The now 37-year-old revealed that she was “fired as a camp counselor.” This would have been about 21 years ago.

“I pantsed a boy,” she explained. It was, it turned out, retaliation.

“He would lift my shirt all the time,” Fineman revealed. “It was a different time.”

She detailed: “He would be like, ‘Hey, could I have a hug?’ And then I’d go to hug him and he’d lift my shirt, like a dick.”

Fineman added: “And then I was like, ‘I’m going to get back at you.’”

“And so we were on a hike,” Fineman narrated.

“And,” she continued, “I was like, ‘Hey, Ollie, go look over there. It’s a hawk.’”

Presumably — hopefully — the now-adult-but-then-6-year-old is not actually named Oliver.

“He looked,” Fineman described, “and then I yanked his pants down.”

She added: “And then I was fired.”

Because the internet is forever (only in the bad ways — save the things that you love and put effort into so that they will live offline no matter what), multiple folks have documented how the video has changed since it was uploaded on March 31.

Vanity Fair appears to have changed aspects of the video, removing any mention of the boy being 6 years old.

Additionally, Fineman originally told her co-stars that the child’s “ding-a-ling was out” due to the pantsing.

“He wasn’t wearing underpants, and then a giant school bus drove by,” she said in the original video.

There is a line where an anecdote about youthful misbehavior starts to sound like a description of a crime. This may be a factor in Vanity Fair‘s edits.

Well, that’s uncomfortable!

Ashley Padilla quipped: “Oh, honey, I think you’re on a list somewhere.”

The backlash is understandable — and palpable, if you’re brave enough to check YouTube comments. But some of it is out of proportion.

We are talking about a 16-year-old exercising extremely poor judgment over two decades ago. It shouldn’t have happened, but it did.

Also, as is so often the case when comedians (or Robert Pattinson) share personal anecdotes, aspects may have been exaggerated or entirely fabricated.

One of the key ingredients of being funny is surprising and shocking people, sometimes at the expense of things like good taste or honesty. We can’t rule out that Fineman exaggerated for laughs — only to regret it.

There’s been a hefty shakeup at Good Morning America.

Right after news leaked that Janai Norman’s contract wouldn’t be renewed, higher ups yoinked her from the airwaves.

It’s weird. And, without an explanation, longtime GMA viewers were understandably confused.

Norman herself opened up to fans directly about her sudden departure.

This is an abrupt exit

On Saturday, April 4, Good Morning America co-anchor Janai Norman announced her exit from the show.

She has been on ABC for 15 years.

Not only is this departure sudden for her fans — it also sounds like it was abrupt on a more personal level.

“I hope that we’d have more time,” Normal expressed on her Instagram post.

“It’s been hard on me that our time was cut short,” she expressed.

“I have loved my job,” Norman affirmed in her video.

“It has been a joy to connect with my co-workers and with viewers,” she added.

Norman expressed that it was a joy “to help keep you informed and entertained, and to create this community.”

The now-former co-anchor expressed that it “really breaks my heart” that she never got to “get to say goodbye” to everyone.

“I’m so sorry,” she expressed during the video. “It would’ve been fun.”

She is, however, looking on the bright side

When it comes to finding a silver lining, Norman isn’t having any trouble.

“But I have these three young kids and I have worked weekends their whole lives,” she noted.

“And so now, they get more of me,” Norman shared.

“And that,” she affirmed, “is worth everything.”

For her fans and followers, she advised: “So stay tuned.”

She expressed: “I’m sorry. I feel you.”

Norman also added: “And thank you to every single one of you who has reached out with such kind and validating words.”

She admitted: “I have needed it and I appreciate it.”

In her caption, Norman wrote: “I’ve read every message. And am deeply grateful for the love. More to come when the time is right.”

This really was new information

Reports about Norman leaving Good Morning America only surfaced on Thursday, April 2.

She had allegedly known since March — as early as a couple of weeks before the news leaked, it’s believed.

For the record, her contract does not end until May. Apparently, the story leaking prompted higher ups to pull her from the air ahead of time.

Norman started with ABC News in 2011 as a NewsOne intern. Since then, she’s propelled herself upwards.

Weekend co-anchors sometimes have their eye on weeknight anchor chairs. Some of them go on to become fascist war criminals.

There are many paths open to Norman — and we hope that she finds something that makes her happy.

On Monday, Savannah Guthrie returned to the Today show for the first time since the disappearance of her mother in early February.

And while the search for Nancy Guthrie has yet to yield any results, investigators haven’t given up.

Sadly, the focus now seems to be more on recovery than rescue, and a new tip from an informant alleges that the 84-year-old captive has indeed passed away.

If you’ve been following the case closely, then you may know that TMZ and other media outlets have received messages from an informant who claimed to have inside information about Nancy’s whereabouts.

“I saw her alive with them in the state of Sonora Mexico,” reads one note that was published by TMZ this week.

That might sound like hopeful news, but the outlet also received a note that states bluntly, “She is dead.”

TMZ says they’ve been forwarding all of the informant’s notes to the FBI, but the agency seems to have doubts about the note’s authenticity, and thus has been unwilling to pay the informant.

In a separate note, the informant expressed their frustration with the situation.

“It’s unbelievable that millions have been wasted and yet here I am willing to deliver them on a silver platter since the 11th of february for a bitcoin but I am disregarded as a scam,” they wrote.

“They are free and the case is frozen but the ego’s remain hot when it comes to me. Arrogance at its finest.”

If the informant’s claims turn out to be true, then the criticism of FBI Director Kash Patel’s handling of the case will likely only intensify.

“I just want what’s fair and to live peacefully with enough to start my life again quietly without having to join a witness protection program,” the informant continued.

They are requesting one Bitcoin as payment, which is currently valued at roughly $68,000.

Savannah did not directly address her mother’s disappearance during her return to Today, but she did become visibly emotional while greeting supportive fans outside the studio.

In her previous videos and social media posts, Savannah acknowledged the sad reality that her mother might have passed away.
