When Savannah Guthrie returned to the Today show earlier this month, fans were quick to celebrate.

The comeback was bittersweet, of course, as Savannah’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, remains missing, nearly 11 weeks after she first disappeared from her home in Tucson, Arizona.

Now, two unexpected developments have put Nancy’s alleged abduction right back into the headlines.

First, Nancy abruptly left the studio midway through Wednesday’s show.

There are many reasons why she may have needed to excuse herself, but naturally, viewers were quick to jump to the conclusion that there had been some update regarding the investigation into her mother’s disappearance.

Those suspicions were bolstered on Thursday by a post on X (formerly Twitter) from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

“Update: Nancy has been located,” the post read.

Pima is the county where Nancy Guthrie disappeared, and its sheriff, Chris Nanos, has been the face of the investigation for several months now.

So naturally, thousands jumped to the conclusion that Savannah’s 84-year-old mother had finally been located.

However, the post was referring to a woman named Nancy Radakovich, who also went missing in Pima County.

For obvious reasons, some users got the wrong idea, and quite a few were quick to

“Are you kidding? So unprofessional! You couldn’t list the last name?” one person wrote.

“Omg whyyyyyy would you word it like that smh,” another added.

“Ok now you’re all just being a–holes on purpose. Thank god she was found but COME ON. Can you be anymore tone deaf???” a third chimed in.

“Cleary you deliberately didn’t use the last name. Why would you do that? Really makes you look like a piece of s–t,” a fourth noted.

Some even went so far as to accuse the sheridd’s department of being deliberately misleading:

“I am glad this lady is found don’t get me wrong but these scum bags know what they did with this post,” one  such conspiracy theorist wrote.

That might be a bit of a far-fetched theory, as it’s hard to imagine what the sheriff’s department would stand to gain by intentionally misleading the public.

Whatever the case, there have been no new updates from the Guthrie family or the police, and thus, there’s no reason to believe that there have been any breaks in Nancy’s case.

Just a few weeks ago, Bravo’s most controversial couple revealed themselves.

Amanda Batula and West Wilson are an item.

The Summer House couple caused a huge stir for a number of reasons.

But Wilson is the ex of Ciara Miller, Batula’s friend. Better make that ex-friend.

This is so messy!

As we reported, Batula and Wilson put out a joint statement on their respective Instagram Stories on March 31.

“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” they began.

“It was never our intention to purposely hide anything,” the couple claimed.

“Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show,” they explained, “we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”

Speculation had run rampant for weeks before their confession. Batula had split from her estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, back in January.

Miller was in an on-and-off romance with Wilson going back to 2023.

Season 10 of Summer House is currently airing on Bravo.

As we can see for ourselves, the two were happily flirting during these episodes.

Miller and Batula aren’t just co-stars on the reality series. They have been close friends for a long time.

Dating your friend’s ex is usually shady (outside of very specific subcultures), even without the messy context. As it is, Batula’s reeling.

‘It’s a major mindf–k’

Now, Miller is opening up to Glamour about what a “mindf–k” this hurtful revelation has been.

“It’s one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors,” she expressed.

Miller continued: “To experience it so publicly is like another layer.”

She pointed out: “And then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10.”

Miller then characterized: “It’s a major mindf–k.” We can only imagine!

Additionally, Miller revealed that she only received 24 hours’ notice before Batula and Wilson released their Instagram Story statement.

“I read it with the rest of the world,” she shared.

Miller picked up on something that a number of Bravo fans had also pointed out.

“There’s something about the lack of being able to say each other’s names in the statement that I found very telling,” she remarked.

Miller added: “But I don’t know.”

Meanwhile, on Season 10 of ‘Summer House’ …

Viewers can see Miller and Batula continuing to support each other during the ups and downs of their lives.

Batula confided to Miller on camera that she might end her marriage to Cooke. Which, of course, she did.

(Note: when someone says that on a reality series, it means that they’re either really going to do it or are otherwise prepared for their spouse to see the confession. It’s like setting a breakup timer.)

“Just know when something’s weird in your gut, there’s a reason,” Miller advised while speaking to Glamour.

“What’s done in the dark always comes to light,” she continued. “And sometimes you really don’t even have to do anything except sit back and let the universe handle it all.”

There’s a new twist in the ongoing Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini scandal.

On Thursday, we reported that an NFL journalist had tweeted new claims about Russini’s alleged affairs, claiming that Russini had inappropriate relationships with both Vrabel and LA Rams coach Sean McVay.

Today, that reporter, Chrissy Froyd, has been fired from her job at USA Today.

“USA TODAY Sports has ended its contractor relationship with Crissy Froyd effective immediately. Her recent statements do not reflect our commitment to professionalism or uphold our principles of ethical conduct,” the outlet said in a statement.

In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Froyd acknowledged her firing and stated that she has no regrets about her calling out Russini:

“I would like to acknowledge the statements put out about me recently and that I am also no longer with USA TODAY SMG,” Froyd wrote, adding:

“I regret zero of what I said and stand beside it. If you want to talk, my messages are open. My email is operative, too.

The biggest thing about all this that pains me is that other women don’t feel like they can speak out because I’ve been “reprimanded.”

Oh yes. You can.

“I feel I’ve been very transparent and did nothing wrong. I also find it so interesting that a Nancy Armour column was able to be published about Dianna Russini setting women back on USAT, but that my comments as a freelancer on my own social media about her were not fine.”

“The biggest thing about all this that pains me is that other women don’t feel like they can speak out because I’ve been ‘reprimanded,’” Froyd wrote in a separate tweet, adding:

“Oh yes. You can. Do it. I’ll stand with you. God, don’t you hear ‘under my thumb’ playing somewhere.

“Be bold and speak out. Will it make a martyr out of you? Maybe. But some things are worth it and some are not. This was.”

The Froyd drama began on Thursday when she responded to Russini’s announcement that she had resigned from her post at The Athletic.

That decision came as a result of photos that showed Russini hugging and holding hands with Vrabel following NFL meeting in Arizona last month.

Both parties are married to other people. In her resignation letter, Russini denied any wrongdoing.

“I’m sure you were told to submit this or that you’d get fired instead,” Froyd tweeted on Thursday, referring to Russini’s letter.

“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out…We know who you really are and what you’ve been up to for years. It does so much detriment to women in sports who have done things the right way.”

She went on to allege that Russini also had an inappropriate relationship with McVay during his time as offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders.

She’s getting out of her Get In Girl tour.

With less than two months’ notice, Meghan Trainor has canceled her 2026 tour.

She claims that this is about being “present” for her family.

But folks on social media are floating another theory about the controversial singer.

The ‘Get in Girl’ tour isn’t happening! Not this year, anyway

On Thursday, April 16, Trainor took to her Instagram Story to share her updated 2026 plans.

“After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the ‘Get in Girl’ tour,” she began.

“Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour,” she explained.

Trainor continued: “And welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now.”

As we reported in January, the singer welcomed her third child via gestational carrier (surrogate).

“I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans,” Trainor acknowledged.

“And,” she expressed, “I am so sorry to let you down.”

Trainor then affirmed: “But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now.” That is now a family of five.

“I promise I’ll be back soon,” she vowed. “And I can’t wait for you to hear this new record.”

Trainor concluded: “I’m so proud of it and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.”

On social media, some suggest an alternative explanation

She’s 32 and has three young children.

That might be enough to make anyone change their summer plans.

But having a child isn’t exactly something that happens overnight. The pregnancy alone lasts for most of a year.

And, in Trainor’s case, they welcomed Baby #3 via gestational carrier.

That involves a whole other person, not to mention doctors and IVF treatments. Becoming a family of five didn’t happen by accident or suddenly, so why plan this and the tour?

Some seriously, some snarkily, folks on social media are suggesting that Trainor is doing this to save face.

The belief is that Trainor’s ticket sales did not meet expectations for two months away from the start of her tour.

Touring is expensive and time-consuming. And appearing on a stage before a mostly vacant crowd is humiliating.

Obviously, we do not have access to Trainor’s ticket sales — or to what expectations were before launching the tour. But it’s a solid theory, however unproven.

She’s been shedding fans in recent years

Trainor’s use of GLP-1 medication for luxury weight loss has made headlines and elicited controversy.

She even went so far as to change the lyrics to “All About That Bass” to match her new, ultra-slender body. That went about as well as you’d expect.

As we at THG have emphasized before, going into someone’s reply to shame or “express concern” about a celebrity is very unlikely to prompt any changes.

Everyone deserves to have the body that they most desire. But people are right to have ethical concerns and reasonable to express long-term health worries about people buying into medicalized starvation as a weight-loss solution.

Maybe Trainor isn’t able to fill seats anymore. She’s married to a Spy Kids star and has three beautiful kids. She’s arguably still winning. We just hope that she doesn’t come to regret some of her incendiary choices.

Back in September of 2025, the body of a 14-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas was found in the trunk of an impounded car belonging to R&B singer D4vd.

On Thursday, after months of investigation, D4vd was arrested in connection with Rivas’ death.

The arrest came in dramatic fashion, with officers from the LAPD descending on D4vd’s Hollywood Hills home with guns drawn.

“We came to the home with a probable cause arrest warrant for him,” said LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division Commanding Officer Captain Scot M. Williams (per The New York Post).

“We did the best we can to keep tabs on him, but once we developed probable cause to arrest him for murder, then we were on him pretty diligently,” Captain Williams continued.

“Detectives from Los Angeles Police Department, Robbery-Homicide Division have arrested David Burke, a 21-year-old resident of Los Angeles, for the murder of Celeste Rivas. Burke is being held without bail. The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office on Monday for filing consideration,” an LAPD release confirmed.

D4vd’s attorneys Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski and Regina Peter allege that the singer was arrested unlawfully, without a grand jury indictment.

“Let us be clear – the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death,” the legal team told TMZ, adding:

“There has been no indictment returned by any grand jury in this case and no criminal complaint filed.”

The lawyers added, “David has only been detained under suspicion. We will vigorously defend David’s innocence.”

In a statement, the Los Angeles DA Office said “prosecutors will review the facts and evidence to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to file charges.”

After Rivas’ dismembered body was discovered last year and identified by a tattoo, D4vd — whose real name is David Anthony Burke — quickly became the focus of the investigation.

The abandoned Tesla in which Rivas was found was registered to D4vd, but it was unclear if he had ever driven the car.

According to a Los Angeles ABC affiliate, the body had been wrapped in plastic.

The car was reportedly towed to the lot after being reported abandoned in the Hollywood Hills.

D4vd was on tour and preparing for a show in Minneapolis on the day that the body was discovered. He has yet to speak publicly on the matter.

TMZ reports that D4vd was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail this morning as he awaits arraignment.

Beloved actress Christina Applegate has been sick for a long time.

She first revealed her diagnosis years ago.

Since then, she has warned, her condition has been getting worse.

Now, Applegate has reportedly been hospitalized under a veil of secrecy.

She was hospitalized just a couple of weeks ago

TMZ reports that Applegate has been hospitalized in Los Angeles.

Specifically, the tabloid details, she was admitted in late March. If anyone knows the exact date, they aren’t sharing.

Prior to this report, the biggest hint that something was awry came on March 31.

Applegate and Jamie-Lynn Sigler are co-hosts on the MeSsy podcast. At the end of last month, Sigler announced that the show would be on hiatus — briefly — while both women are on book tours.

Under the circumstances, it sounds like the truth may have been a little more serious than that.

A representative for Applegate declined to confirm the hospitalization when speaking to Page Six, and kept things deeply vague.

“I have no comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are,” the rep began.

“She’s had a long history of complicated medical conditions,” the rep acknowledged, “that she has been refreshingly open about.”

Applegate’s rep then added: “as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.”

Her recent memoir, You With the Sad Eyes, documented both her time in the entertainment industry and her struggle with MS.

It has been 5 years since she was diagnosed

Back in August of 2021, Applegate first revealed her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

“Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey,” she tweeted at the time.

“But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition,” she added.

“It’s been a tough road,” Applegate’s 2021 tweet acknowledged. “But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a–hole blocks it.”

Her tweet concluded: “As one of my friends that has MS said, ‘We wake up and take the indicated action.’ And that’s what I do. So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you xo.”

Applegate has been extremely candid about her worsening condition as her MS battle continues.

She has opened up about wearing diapers, about being mostly confined to bed, and more.

Sigler, her podcast co-host, has been living with relapsing MS for over two decades.

However, we have to emphasize that we do not actually know if Applegate’s hospitalization was related to her MS.

It is natural to assume that a secret hospitalization might stem from her worsening health battle. But we do not actually know.

For a full decade, Applegate starred on Married … with Children, a tongue-in-cheek sitcom known for breaking a lot of “family sitcom” conventions.
