Lilibet was the nickname used by Queen Elizabeth II’s husband, Prince Philip, and Harry and Meghan likely believed that they were paying tribute to the monarch in moving fashion.
But according to one royal expert, the couple was dead wrong.

Hugo Vickers is a royal historian who’s currently promoting his new book, titled Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History.
During a recent appearance on the “Daily T “podcast, Vickers lashed out at Harry and Meghan for naming their daughter after the queen’s intimate nickname.
“Wasn’t it rather sweet for them to call their daughter Lilibet after the queen’s name?” host Camilla Tominey asked.
“Oh, well, that was odious,” Vickers replied, adding:
“To use the queen’s name that was used by her actual private family? No. That’s absolutely shocking.”
As Vickers and others have noted, the name did not originate with Philip, but rather with Elizabeth’s father, King George VI.

The name stemmed from the queen’s inability to pronounce “Elizabeth” when she was a young child.
“Lilibet is my pride. Margaret is my joy,” George famously quipped when both the queen and her sister, Princess Margaret, were in their youth.
When Philip passed away in 2021, at the age of 99, Elizabeth placed a note atop his coffin that read, “In loving memory, Lilibet.”
Many royal observers believed that that would be the last time the queen’s intimate nickname would ever be used in a public setting.
So it came as quite a shock when Harry and Meghan announced just two months later that they had christened their daughter with the moniker.
While Lilibet was just a nickname for the queen, Harry and Meghan’s daughter is legally named Lilibet Diana.
The queen never spoke publicly about the name, but there have been rumors that she was not as honored as Harry and Meghan hoped she would be.
The decision probably was not as controversial as Vickers is making out to be, but it does seem that Harry and Meghan did not consult the queen before choosing their daughter’s name.
She’s arguably thrown cis women’s rights under the bus, too. And her political support puts her at odds with vast swathes of America.
Now, however, she’s facing discrimination from the policies that she voted for. She’s shocked, and appealing to Trump to personally intervene.

Her passport is wrong, and Trump isn’t likely to fix it
In a recent interview, Caitlyn spoke to Tomi Lohren about a myriad of topics — including her own humiliation at the hands of the Trump regime.
The 76-year-old Olympian and reality TV personality revealed that she had recently updated her passport.
Unfortunately, it came back with a gender marker of “M.” This does not accurately represent her gender, so she submitted a request for this to be corrected. It was not.
“What do I do?” she asked Tomi. “This is a safety factor. I can’t travel internationally anymore. I can’t use my passport.”
This isn’t a paperwork error on Cait’s part. She had all of her documentation updated over a decade ago. This is malice at the federal level.
“All my documentation was right: my passport, my Global Entry,” Caitlyn emphasized. “I traveled around the world,”
She admitted: “I’m trying to figure out at this point what to do. For a lot of people, this is a huge issue.”
Cait shared that she had written a letter to Trump “explaining all of this to him, how it’s affecting me and a lot of other people.”
She lamented: “I haven’t heard from him.”
Caitlyn has been voicing support for Trump since the 2016 election cycle. He name -dropped her during the Republican primary that year, in a then-positive light. None of that matters now, clearly.

She’d never blame Trump for Trump’s policies, of course
“He’s kind of busy right now,” Cait claimed without specifying. “My gender marker is not big on the issue. OK.”
Though it sometimes feels like Donald Trump spends all day posting to social media and repeatedly pressing a button labeled sabotage economy, he also takes time to golf and attend UFC fights. Didn’t he also visit Vegas a few days ago?
“So I get that, and I’m not blaming him whatsoever,” Caitlyn assured. “I love the guy, and I love what he’s doing.”
She also highlighted that this policy could impact her ability to vote.
(It’s unclear why she’s saying this, as she famously resides in Malibu, where she is presumably registered to vote. Some states have implemented voter ID laws and similar voter suppression policies, but California has not.)
According to Caitlyn, she believes that this policy was not “really thought out, what this means.”
Unfortunately, that is not the truth.
Though incompetence is a defining feature of the Trump regime, this particular policy making her feel hurt, unsafe to travel, and possibly unable to vote means that it’s working exactly as intended.
She is transgender. Like countless other policies flowing out of the Trump White House, sabotaging her identification documents like this is a deliberate attempt to make her feel disenfranchised, to make her life more difficult, and to make her

This is inevitable for Trump supporters who aren’t straight, white, able-bodied, Christian, cisgender men
This is another clear example of the classic tweet: “‘I never thought leopards would eat MY face,’ sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party.”
Caitlyn voted for this, but never thought that it would harm her — just vague other people who aren’t her.
She voted for this because she believed that her support for Trump, her celebrity status, or her immense wealth would insulate her from the policies designed to harm countless Americans.
Ultimately, supporting fascists does not protect you from their policies. The true believers do not see you as a person. And the bulk of fascists — opportunists with juvenile worldviews — see you as an inconvenience as soon as you stop being a useful idiot.
Trump has no need to reward Caitlyn for her loyalty unless she can give him something that he wants. She’s one of many marginalized individuals who voted for Trump for their own complex-yet-inexcusable reasons, only for this vote to blow up in their faces.

In the months since Charlie Kirk’s murder, his widow, Erika Kirk, has become one of the most famous figures in American politics.
Many have suggested that Erika is planning a run for office.
And while 2028 is still a long way off, there’s already talk of a potential bid for the White House.

There was a time when the idea of a media figure with no governing experience running for president would have seemed absurd.
But 2016 changed everything, and Erika is aligning herself with Donald Trump at a time when the president is losing some of his most high-profile supporters.
Kirk and Trump both appeared at a rally in Arizona over the weekend, and one of the biggest right wing accounts on X (formerly Twitter) suggested that Erika might be establishing herself as the president’s heir apparent.
“Rumors are swirling that Erika Kirk could be positioning herself for a 2028 presidential run,” Tara Bull wrote to her 1.4 million followers.

The post received a mixed response, but the upshot is that whether she likes it or not, Erika’s name is now being mentioned in the same breath as the 2028 presidential race.
And while the election might be years away, Erika is already dealing with her first campaign mini-scandal.
It was a blink-and-you’d-miss-it moment:

Perhaps it’s because she was recently widowed, or maybe it’s because Trump is less popular these days with the sort of people who used to constitute his base.
But whatever the reason, Trump and Erika’s embrace became a subject of widespread debate and controversy on social media.
As MSN reports, some observers accused Trump of giving off “creepy uncle vibes.”
Others alleged that he held on to Erika for several seconds too long.
Usually, Erika leans into controversies, but this one she’s chosen to ignore, preferring to focus instead on her political message.
“And now we have to show up again with 80 to 90% voter turnout in the midterms and fortify the red wall for the next decade. That’s what we need to do,” she said at one point in the rally.
She went on to lash out at those who seek to “tear our country” apart by focusing on issues that divide instead of unite.
Just a few months ago, the assumption would have been that Erika was referring to liberals and Democrats — but these days, she might have been referring to Trump’s former supporters.
Either way, she’s mastered the politician’s art of making a statement without actually saying anything.
This beloved property already has many adaptations — and has raised eyebrows with controversial nude scenes.

Production has begun!
A live-action Gundam film has begun production in Queensland, Australia.
The cast includes Sweeney, Isaacs, Centineo, plus plenty of other names including Shioli Kutsuna, Gemma Chua-Tran, Jackson White, Oleksandr Rudynskyi, and more.
It’s being produced by Legendary Pictures, and in partnership with Bandi Namco Filmworks.
Gundam (in all of its many iterations) is one of the most iconic science fiction properties on the planet. It’s on par with Star Wars, and has been around for about the same amount of time.

At its core, Gundam is about war — and its horrors, its effect upon populations and young people, and the depravity of those who commit atrocities.
On a more superficial level, it’s about teens and young adults piloting mobile suits — massive spacefaring “robots” capable of fighting with guns, laser swords, “funnels” (long story), and other weapons, on space and on the ground.
The titular gundams tend to represent the pinnacle of mobile suit design. In some Gundam properties, highly evolved pilots are able to connect with their machines — and even with each other’s minds. Rarely, even from beyond the grave.
(Yes, it’s a little like The Force in Star Wars.)
The first Gundam anime premiered in 1979. It’s absolutely worth watching, even if you have to brace yourself for some oddities that are, at least in part, a product of its time.
This is where the ‘controversial’ scenes come into play
Launching in the 1970s meant that characters are sometimes portrayed doing things that are appalling — like striking each other — that were at the time meant to be dramatic, or to portray the tensions of war.
There are also controversial nude scenes. Even among people who generally like nudity in their media.
We’re not referring to when “Newtype” (one of several labels throughout the adaptations) pilots communicate with each other, appearing as a nude silhouette in space even in the heat of battle.
There are scenes of women and girls showering, often accompanied by children — which, at the time, was likely intended to make the scenes less voyeuristic. In a modern lens, the animation is more uncomfortable this way.
Even as the decades continued, adaptations like Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team featured moments of animated nudity that felt like fan service. But seldom as controversial as the first few series’ portrayal of women and teen girls.

During her career, Sweeney has gone back and forth when it comes to on-screen nudity.
Euphoria is an HBO series with a more than decent amount of nudity. Sweeney has not been an exception.
However, in the early years of her rising to fame, she deliberately avoided excessive sexualization, focusing instead upon her acting.
Only in very recent years, and particularly amidst her involuntary politicization, has she pivoted towards using her body to sell clothing.
That’s a very long way of saying that she’s done a pet play OnlyFans scene on Euphoria and is likely to appear in a horny role again in the future.

Does that mean that she’s likely to show skin for Netflix’s ‘Gundam’ film?
We hate to crush everyone’s dreams, but Netflix seems likely to shy away from any real nudity in this project.
Even if some Gundam properties and Netflix properties have shown full frontal, our culture’s puritanical crusade against core aspects of humanity makes even the “spiciest” streamers hesitant to lean into nudity.
Additionally, even though Gundam has been airing in one form or another since long before many of us were born, and even though it is fundamentally a story about war, the clueless dorks who ruin so much of television are likely to try to brand this as something for tweens to watch.
Hey, we’d love to be wrong! We’d love to be pleasantly surprised.
But we won’t hold our breath.
While we’re wishing for things in Gundam, something more important to hope to see is Sweeney playing, not a protagonist or a love interest, but Char Aznable or an analogue.
Char (and his various masked analogues in different iterations of Gundam) is a foil character to the lead pilot — usually, anyway.
He’s a war hero for the baddies, with a lot of skill and with more experience than the hapless teen who just fell into (or stole) a sophisticated mobile suit.
Sweeney would be amazing in the role.
We could picture her in a uniform and a conspicuous mask, piloting the Red Comet. Or the Tallgeese. We’d love to see it.
“We realized things were maybe a little bit serious in February,” he recalled.
“And,” West insisted, “that’s when this all started.”
He added: “There’s not a whole lot more to it than that.”

‘Mysteriously’ it’s always the woman who gets the most hate
West also acknowledged that he is not the primary target of criticism here.
Amanda is clearly getting the “brunt” of the online backlash, he observed.
West was quick to defend his girlfriend from people with “s–t to talk.”
That said, he understands the ire on some level.

We have sad news to report from the world of music today.
Alan Osmond — the singer who rose to fame in the 1970s as part of the musical group the Osmonds — has passed away.
He was 76 years old.

News of his passing comes courtesy of a statement from Alan’s brother Merrill Osmond.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of my beloved brother, Alan Osmond. I was grateful to be with him shortly before he passed and to share a final meaningful moment together. Alan was a gifted creator, a man of faith, and a deeply loving soul whose life blessed many,” Merrill wrote on Facebook (via People), adding:
“Our family is thankful for the outpouring of love and prayers. We will honor his memory and the message he cared so deeply about. He will be missed beyond words.
“My dear friends, Two days before my brother, Alan, passed, I was blessed to sit quietly with him. We talked as brothers do, heart to heart.”
Merrill noted that Alan had been battling multiple sclerosis.
And while the illness drained him of his strength and energy, Merrill says it never diminished his spirit.
“He was struggling, but when I shared a joke or two, he found the strength to chuckle… and then he smiled. In a tender moment I will never forget, he leaned close and whispered something into my ear. He said, ‘Merrill, you and I worked side by side,’ ” the musician continued.
“‘We created, we produced, we directed… we gave our hearts to The Plan with Wayne. Please… do something with it. Let people know what we were trying to say.’ I want you to know, his request will be honored.”
Merrill concluded his tribute with a profound sentiment about his brother’s faith:
“My brother has now stepped into the presence of our Father in Heaven with honor and peace. His life was not measured in years, but in love, sacrifice, and purpose,” he wrote, adding:
“He lived it. He felt it. He shared it. He wanted me to tell you how much he loved you, and I believe that with all my heart. He gave everything he had to the Lord, to his family, and to all of you. He truly was a missionary. He truly was a saint.
“And I need you to know this… he has not left me. I have felt him. I have felt his quiet encouragement telling me to keep going… to keep building faith… to keep sharing light. His testimony is not gone, it lives on, and it will continue to be felt far beyond this life.”
As a member of the Osmonds, Alan helped spread his message of faith to millions.
He is survived by eight children and his wife, Suzanne Pinegar. Our thoughts go out to Alan’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
For half a decade, he and Denise Richards were a couple. They had known each other for even longer.
She is now “inconsolable.”

‘She can’t stop crying’
On Sunday, April 19, Muldoon passed away after a sudden heart attack.
Richards and Muldoon dated for almost five years during the late 1990s.
They had known each other since she was 19 and he was 21. The two had met in an acting class.
(And yes, both famous appeared in the classic scifi satirical masterpiece, Starship Troopers.)
Despite having dated and parted ways, they remained lifelong friends — right until his death.
An inside source tells The Daily Mail that Richards is, understandably, not taking it well.
“She’s devastated. Really, really sad,” the insider described.
“I’d even call her inconsolable,” the source then characterized.
According to the insider: “She can’t stop crying.”
Richards has had some famous, ugly breakups with exes. What makes Muldoon stand out is how different things were.

‘They were better friends than lovers’
“Patrick is the ex that she had the best relationship with,” the source reported.
According to the insider: “There was a ton of respect on both sides.”
The source continued: “It was so amicable that they were better friends than lovers and they remained in constant contact.”
The insider gushed: “She was his biggest supporter, he was hers.”

In October 2025 — a mere 6 months prior to his passing — Patrick Muldoon sat for an interview on Tori Spelling’s MisSPELLING podcast.
“We both don’t come from entertainment families,” he said of Richards at the time.
“And,” Muldoon continued, “our families got to know each other over the years and kind of checked in with each other on navigating the crazy stuff that we all go through.”
Muldoon also added: “I have a good relationship with both Lola and Sami.” Those are Richards’ adult daughters.
He explained: “I’ve known them since they were first born, and so I have a good relationship with both.”

This is a normal and healthy time to grieve
Grief spans years — even lifetimes.
Sometimes, those who lose loved ones find themselves mourning longer than they knew someone — or even longer than the dearly departed person was even alive.
The first days after a loss like this, crying is a vital release valve.
Over time, the grief will express itself in different ways. Strange dreams, sudden stabs of sorrow, a quiet sadness when certain topics arise.
