We have tragic news to report from the world of sports today.

Hockey legend Claude Lemieux has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 60.

News of his death comes courtesy of TMZ, who reports that Lemieux was found dead on Thursday on the property of a business owned by his family.

While there has been no official statement from Florida medical examiners, TMZ is reporting that Lemieux died by suicide.

Lemieux built a reputation as one of the sport’s fiercest competitors during a career that stretched across more than two decades and included four Stanley Cup championships.

Best known for his gritty, physical style of play and his ability to elevate his game in the postseason, Lemieux suited up for teams including the Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, Colorado Avalanche, Phoenix Coyotes, Dallas Stars, and San Jose Sharks during his NHL career.

He also earned a reputation as one of hockey’s ultimate agitators.

Lemieux was the type of player opposing fans loved to hate.

Perhaps most famously, his devastating hit on Detroit Red Wings forward Kris Draper in 1996 helped ignite one of the fiercest rivalries in NHL history between the Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche.

Lemieux never seemed interested in playing the role of hockey’s nice guy, but he always delivered when the stakes were highest.

He won his first Stanley Cup with the Montreal Canadiens in 1986, then later with the New Jersey Devils in 1995 and the Colorado Avalanche in both 1996 and 2000.

In 1995, he was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP after an extraordinary postseason performance that helped carry the Devils to a championship.

Following news of his death, tributes quickly began pouring in from across the hockey world, with former teammates, organizations, and fans remembering Lemieux as a fierce competitor whose passion for the game was impossible to ignore.

Lemieux is also remembered as the father of Brendan Lemieux, who followed in his footsteps to the NHL and carved out a professional hockey career of his own.

Mark Hamill is catching flak this week after he shared a meme depicting the funeral of President Donald Trump.

But the folks giving him a hard time might be missing some crucial context.

Hamill’s post appeared 11 days after the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting, so perhaps the timing was inappropriate — but despite claims to the contrary, the actor was clearly not wishing death on Trump.

“He should live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes,” Hamill captioned the Bluesky post, adding:

“Long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore.”

He later elaborated, perhaps feeling that many of his followers had missed his point:

“Accurate Edit for Clarity: ‘He should live long enough to be held accountable for his crimes.’ Actually, I was wishing him the opposite of dead, but apologize if you found the image inappropriate,” the Star Wars star wrote.

One of Hamill’s harshest critics was comedian Jamie Kennedy, who addressed the issue on his podcast this week:

“That is insane. That is brain rot gone beyond,” Kennedy said (via Page Six), adding:

“This is nuts. Luke Skywalker has lost it, dude. You’re like a big voice in the world, and you’re promoting that. Like what is wrong with you?”

Kennedy went on to blast Hamill as “crazy” and note that Trump was duly elected.

“You can call this guy whatever you want, but he’s the elected leader, so clearly he’s legally in, and he won, and he’s the elected leader,” Kennedy continued.

“That’s just crazy that he did that. Like that’s just nuts. Do you know how irresponsible that is? All the people that follow you. You can write something tasteful and say you don’t like someone, but to do that? It’s evil.”

The uproar is similar to the backlash that Jimmy Kimmel faced for allegedly joking about Trump’s death in the days before the Correspondents’ Dinner shooting.

Both Donald and Melania Trump called on Kimmel to be fired, but their demands fell on deaf ears.

For one thing, the joke — in which Kimmel referred to Melania as “an expectant widow” — aired several days before the Correspondents’ Dinner.

Additionally, Kimmel was not calling on Trump to be assassinated but was instead referencing the fact that he’ll soon be eighty and appears to be battling health issues.

Perhaps one day, we’ll have a non-octogenarian president, and entertainers can get back to roasting politicians for their policies.

Last summer, former Teen Mom villain Farrah Abraham had an announcement to make.

She was free of botox and fillers, she claimed. And she planned to scale back her infamous body modifications.

Well that lasted all of, what seven months? Let’s be generous enough to say eight.

Farrah has announced her planned jaw surgery. Despite her political aspirations, she’s getting NSFW with it.

She calls it ‘a really big surgery’

During a lengthy chat with Ryan Panozzo, the host of the Pillow Talk podcast, and fellow guest Kazumi Squirts, Farrah revealed her surgical plans.

“I’m getting ready for a really big surgery actually,” the former Teen Mom villain revealed.

“There’s, I guess, like a degenerative disc disease in my jaws,” Farrah claimed.

“I can’t use my jaw,” she alleged. “I can’t open my mouth up normally.”

Throughout the chat, Farrah appeared to be able to speak without difficulty. But we cannot claim to know what it means to be her, or what her jaw felt like during the friendly chat.

Kazumi is a sex worker of some renown. The sponsor was a tech-driven sex toy.

The host at one point, with Farrah’s consent, displayed his penis for her assessment. (She rated it an 11 out of 10, for what it’s worth.)

So, when the former Teen Mom star spoke of her “oral dilemma” and said that she wanted to “just open my mouth for a hotdog” without jaw pain, Ryan pounced.

That is, he made a joke about Farrah having lost the ability to perform certain forms of oral sex.

‘I would crush everbody’s you-know-whats’

Farrah revealed that it had been two years since her last sexual encounter.

“I would crush everybody’s you-know-whats,” she warned.

For that and numerous other reasons, we’d recommend avoiding hooking up with Farrah.

We have no idea which “degenerative disc disease” allegedly afflicts her.

But, if she’s going under the knife, we hope that it goes smoothly.

Farrah has been in and out of so many doctor’s offices — and these are just the ones that we know about — that it is legitimately difficult to keep track.

However, The Ashley notes that Farrah has gotten at least three breast augmentations, a nose job, a chin implant (gone but not forgotten), butt injections, butt surgery, multiple vaginal rejuvenation procedures.

She has also had tissue extracted (liposuction) and alternative matter injected into her cheeks and lips (filler).

Farrah’s talk about walking back her many procedures last year sounded encouraging. And look, maybe this really is a medical necessity.

But we’re also going to have to wait and see what Farrah looks like after her recovery. Does she have TMJ or is she changing the shape of her face? Both?

Back in March, authorities arrested Joseph Duggar.

He allegedly molested a 9-year-old girl. She told her father, and he told authorities.

The disgraced former reality star reportedly confessed twice, though he is currently fighting the charges.

Joy-Anna is expressing how raw this makes her feel. But she also talks too much about that, and too little about the child at the center of this case.

‘The hardest time I’ve ever gone through’

On the Wednesday, May 27 episode of The Jinger & Jeremy podcast, it was just Jinger and Joy-Anna.

During the broadcast, the 28-year-old opened up to her big sister about the ugly business with Joseph.

“I feel like every day is different,” Joy began.

“And,” she continued, “I think that it’s probably been the hardest time I’ve ever gone through.”

Coming from someone who grew up in an abusive cult, that sounds like a tall order.

“I think we’re all grieving in different ways,” Joy then opined.

“Every day just feels so heavy,” she expressed.

“And,” Joy-Anna observed, “I definitely think as time goes on, certain things that have gotten lighter.”

She confided in Jinger — and in thousands of viewers — that lighter doesn’t mean better. Not all of the way.

“But I’ve really been struggling, honestly,” Joy shared.

‘It’s already impacted my family so much’

According to Joy, her Christian beliefs have given her a sense of peace even when her family is in turmoil.

However, she is hesitant to make certain public comments — like directly and wholly condemning Joseph, for example — while so much seems to be up in the air.

“It’s already impacted my family so much,” Joy-Anna commented.

“I feel like the more I talk about it publicly, the more it just gets rubbed in our faces,” she explained.

“And,” Joy expressed, “I want to just move on with life in some ways.”

Of course, Joseph’s accuser likely cannot “move on.” She was only nine years old when he allegedly molested her repeatedly during a family vacation.

For all that people talk about the resilience of children, they have fewer coping mechanisms to deal with trauma.

Numerous commenters called out Joy-Anna. Some mentioned that she appears to be using spiritual bypass to compartmentalize her brother’s alleged crimes — among other things.

Joy has every right to talk about how having one brother behind bars and another facing prosecution on a not-unrelated crime impacts her.

But a lot of commenters across social media would like to see her recenter her concern upon the child in question. All else is secondary.

They decided that the most likely outcome would be Taylor changing her name to Taylor Swift-Kelce.

And that conclusion earned Travis’ seal of approval, a fact that’s led many to the conclusion that he and Tay have discussed the matter and come to the same conclusion.

Of course, even if Taylor legally changes her name, that doesn’t mean that she’ll do so professionally.

In other premarital news, several media outlets have been obsessing over Taylor and Travis’ prenup, and while such a document definitely exists (Tay is a one-woman, multi-billion-dollar empire, after all), we will almost certainly never know the details of it.

And then, of course, there are the persistent rumors that Taylor is pregnant, which began even before she and Travis announced their engagement.

Like her legal last name and the terms of her prenup, the state of Taylor’s uterus is for her to reveal when and if she feels ready.

We’re sure she’s used to living under a microscope after so many years at the top of the music industry — but the scrutiny has become even more intense in the run-up to Taylor’s big day.

A video has gone viral after an influencer and athlete shared bodycam footage of her traffic stop.

The bad news — or, at least, the weird news is that she’s accused of something that’s physically impossible.

In the video, the officer accuses her of scrolling through her phone with her right hand while driving. But she doesn’t have a right hand.

She’s an amputee. Instead of apologizing, the officer still issued the ticket, nearly forcing her to come to court months later.

She had a rock-solid alibi

On February 11, a Palm Beach County police deputy pulled over Kathleen Thomas.

Katie is a 36-year-old adaptive athlete. She is also an influencer.

She does not have a right hand. Like many disabled folks, she is still able to do many things — such a drive. She just does it a little differently than someone with two hands might.

Back in February, the deputy explained that his department was doing extra enforcement surrounding distracted driving. He claimed to have seen her holding a phone in her right hand.

Someone holding a phone in their right hand would likely be distracted. However, Katie had a pretty good alibi.

As you can see from the bodycam footage — first released to Katie as discovery, then distributed on social media to widespread laughter — the officer walks up to issue the citation.

Even though Katie shows that she does not have a right hand, the officer was undeterred.

Now, this could have gone worse. Some traffic stops end in deadly shootouts, after all.

But the deputy persisted, issuing a citation — a $116 ticket, under Florida law.

He even bizarrely asked her to swear “hand to god” that she had not been holding a phone. That was a poor choice of words.

Case dismissed!

CBS12 has confirmed that Katie will not, in fact, have to pay a fine for a traffic violation that would only be possible through telekinesis.

(Point of order, Florida law doesn’t actually outlaw holding a phone. She would have had to have been using it, such as to text someone, to run into legal trouble.)

As it turned out, she did not even have to make her argument in court.

The officer who made the traffic stop requested that the charge be dropped.

Katie would have had to show up to court this week. Instead, her citation has been dismissed without issue.

Distracted driving does endanger — and end — lives.

That didn’t start with the invention of the cellphone, but mobile devices definitely make it a more widespread phenomenon.

But, obviously, Katie wasn’t endangering anyone. (And if she was distracted, it’s very unlikely that it could be proven in court.)

Changing driver behavior requires publicity and education. Otherwise, an enforcement blitz just looks like a cash grab from a police department.

Katie’s case wasn’t really about driving safety or disability rights. It came down to a particularly absurd example of someone refusing to back down in the moment. That’s a very human thing to do, but it’s also very funny.

In addition to revealing how she once caught her now-ex and his mistress (her former close friend), Gayle King also opened up about the longstanding gay rumors.

When tabloids first began claiming that the two were secret lovers, Gayle begged her bestie to quash the claims. Oprah declined.

‘If we were gay, we would tell you’

During the Wednesday, May 27 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Gayle told host Alex Cooper how the gay rumors used to get under her skin.

“I tell you this, it used to really bother me,” the iconic broadcast journalist admitted.

It all started in 1993, when she — famously — caught her ex-husband, William Bumpus, cheating with a close friend. The two divorced.

At the time, a tabloid ran a nonsensical story claiming that Gayle and longtime bestie Ooprah were “secretly gay.” And it got to her.

“Number one, if we were gay, we would tell you because, believe me, there’s nothing wrong with it,” Gayle emphasized. “It’s just I prefer a man. I prefer a man.”

“And then I would say to her, ‘You’ve got to say something on your show because it’s hard enough for me to get a date on a Saturday night, and now people think I’m a lesbian,’” Gayle recalled telling Oprah.

“‘You’ve got to say something.’ And she said, ‘No, we should just leave it be,’” she recalled. “‘No, I’m just going to leave it alone. Leave it alone.’”

Oprah was, for 25 years, one of the most watched and influential people on the planet. She still falls into the latter category.

“So, well, that’s fine for you to say. You have somebody. I don’t,” Gayle remembered grumbling at the time.

“So, it used to really bother me,” she reiterated. “And now even today there are still people that say, ‘Well, you know, the truth is. …’”

‘I’ve now gotten to the point in my life that very few things get to me’

Time has taught Gayle to care less about what others imagine her life to be like.

“I don’t care,” she bluntly admitted.

“I’ve now gotten to the point in my life that very few things get to me,” Gayle shared.

She explained that this is “because, you know, when you go on social media, it is an accelerator on hate.”

Gayle expressed: “As long as I feel good about what I’m doing … Otherwise, you’ll drive yourself nuts. So now I really don’t care.”

Oprah has been with Stedman Graham since 1986. She and Gayle met when both worked for WJZ-TV Baltimore.

Some people respond to gay rumors — in person or from tabloids — with explicit homophobia. Notably, Gayle is decidedly not doing that.

Incidentally, Gayle did not limit her commentary on relationships to clarifying that she likes men. She told Alex that she prefers younger men.

Honestly? Good for her. And, for what it’s worth, it’s pretty reasonable to be annoyed at people speculating that you and your bestie are secret lovers.

Over Memorial Day weekend, Amanda Conner was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Now, the wife of former Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards is opening up about her relapse.

Days after being arrested in Tennessee on charges that included DUI, child neglect, and driving on the wrong side of the road, Conner took to social media to address what happened and to acknowledge that she has fallen off the wagon.

“I relapsed. I fell hard,” Amanda said on TikTok.

Conner has long been open about her struggles with addiction and recovery.

And perhaps most painfully, she admitted that her choices affected the people she loves most.

Conner reportedly acknowledged the disappointment she caused her family, including her children, while also emphasizing that she intends to take accountability rather than run from what happened.

“I’m not proud of myself,” she reportedly shared, adding that she is determined to move forward and regain stability.

While social media reactions have been mixed — especially given the seriousness of the allegations tied to her arrest — some followers praised Amanda for publicly owning her mistakes instead of denying or minimizing them.

Amanda was arrested in Hamilton County, Tennessee, and booked on charges including DUI, child abuse/neglect and driving left of center.
