Miley Cyrus ‘Predicted’ Dolly Parton’s Death In Eerie Interview, Fans …

Reading Time: 2 minutes

As we previously reported, music icon and overall queen Dolly Parton passed away on Tuesday, August 25.

And that date is of great significance to one of the most important people in Dolly’s life.

Dolly was godmother to Miley Cyrus, and in interviews, Miley often noted that August 25 is always circled on her mental calendar.

“I decided to release ‘Used To Be Young’ on Aug. 25 because this particular date historically has been important to me personally and in my career,” she said in an interview while promoting the single.

And it’s true that that date had major importance to Miley, even before Dolly’s death.

August 25, 2010, Miley and Liam Hemsworth (whom she would later marry) broke up for the first time (per TMZ).

And on August 25, 2013, Miley kicked in the door of the next stage in her career when she stunned the crowd with a risque performance of “We Can’t Stop” at the Video Music Awards.

The 25th is also the birthday of her father, but considering Miley and Billy Ray aren’t exactly close these days, we suppose it makes sense that she decided not to mention that.

While many fans were stunned by the fact that Miley discussed the date of her godmother’s death just days before it happened (and some of them are reading way too much into the coincidence), it’s unlikely that the pop star had any inclination that Dolly would pass away that day.

Regardless, the already important date has now taken on sad new significance for Miley.

Shortly after news of Dolly’s death went public, Miley took to social media to pay tribute to her beloved godmother.

“The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts,” Cyrus captioned a throwback photo of Parton, adding:

“What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong.”

“I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis. I will always love her and want to make her proud.”

“I can’t believe we just lost the purest soul. Rest in Glory, Dolly. My heart aches.”

Obviously, Dolly touched millions of lives through her music, her acting, and her humanitarianism.

But Miley was one of the lucky souls who got to know the legend on a personal level.

The entire nation is grieving today, but those who knew Dolly best are no doubt feeling the loss especially hard.

Our condolences go out to them during this enormously difficult time.

Blake Lively Wanted $8 Million From Justin Baldoni; She Got $400,000 Instead

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Blake Lively has suffered another financial setback in her long-running legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

A judge has ruled that Baldoni must pay the actress just over $407,000 in attorneys’ fees and litigation costs, which is a far cry from the roughly $8 million Lively had requested.

According to Page Six, Lively was awarded $363,245.40 in attorneys’ fees and another $44,206.35 in costs.

That’s certainly a substantial amount of money.

But it’s also nowhere near the staggering sum the actress had sought following her explosive legal battle with her former co-star and director.

In a June filing, Lively requested $7,495,526.87 in attorneys’ fees, along with another $539,514.01 for litigation costs and expenses.

Baldoni, meanwhile, argued that Lively’s request was excessive.

His legal team reportedly described the actress’ demand as “anything but a typical fee motion” and urged the judge to reject it or significantly reduce the amount.

The court ultimately agreed to a much smaller figure.

The ruling comes after Lively and Baldoni reached a settlement in their legal battle earlier this year.

Lively had accused Baldoni of sexually harassing her while they worked together on It Ends With Us and alleged that he participated in a smear campaign against her.

Baldoni denied the allegations and later filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

The legal war generated endless headlines, but neither Lively nor Baldoni ultimately received a financial payout as part of their settlement.

Their attorneys, however, reportedly fared much better.

Sources previously told Page Six that the legal teams on both sides earned approximately $60 million combined throughout the battle.

Following the settlement, Lively and Baldoni released a joint statement saying they hoped the resolution would allow everyone involved to “move forward constructively and in peace.”

The statement also emphasized their shared commitment to workplaces free of “improprieties and unproductive environments.”

Baldoni has since broken his silence about the bitter dispute.

Last month, the actor said he and his wife, Emily Baldoni, felt “immense gratitude” toward those who supported them throughout the ordeal.

“There have been so many painful things spoken into existence over the last couple years,” Baldoni said, explaining that they did not want to contribute to the “noise.”

“So we just wanted to let the justice system run its course,” he added (via Page Six).

Now, with the latest ruling behind her, Lively is reportedly preparing for a return to Hollywood.

But after years of headlines surrounding her legal battle with Baldoni, that comeback may be accompanied by plenty of scrutiny.

Rutgers University Dean Charged for Secretly Recording ‘Upskirt’ Video on …

Reading Time: 2 minutes

A Rutgers University dean has been charged by police — and banned from campus.

After a warrant was served on his devices, an alleged illicit video was found.

The recording appeared to be a voyeuristic “upskirt” video, recorded without the victim’s knowledge.

Joshua Kohut is facing a charge of invasion or privacy.

He is the dean of research at Rutgers’ School of Environmental and Biological Sciences

On Tuesday, August 25, the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General announced that 51-year-old Joshua Kohut of Cranbury, New Jersey is facing a charge of invasion of privacy.

Kohut is the dean of research at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at RU.

His area of research includes the physical processes along coastal oceans.

That is an important field of science with numerous applications.

Unfortunately, he allegedly did not stick to his course of study.

The single charge of invasion of privacy in the fourth degree stems from allegedly filming an “upskirt” video.

Upskirt photos or videos, or “upskirting,” is a form of voyeurism in which someone uses a camera or phone to record up a victim’s skirt — usually without their knowledge — in order to film their legs, underwear, or even their genitals.

This can be a consensual form of voyeurism. The charges indicate that this was not the case here.

Unfortunately, this style of predatory behavior predates phone cameras — or even portable cameras. The use of mirror on one’s shoes to invade someone’s privacy was a more ephemeral tool for voyeurs in past generations.

Kohut is accused of having used his phone while at work to record video without his victim’s knowledge or consent.

‘We will prosecute accordingly’

According to authorities, Kohut still had a video showing the victim’s “undergarment-clad intimate parts” on a phone.

“The defendant is alleged to have used his mobile phone to record ‘upskirt’ videos without his victim’s knowledge,” the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General announced.

“An invasion of privacy like this is not just disturbing, it is also a criminal act,” the statement affirmed.

The AG’s office vowed: “We will prosecute accordingly.”

Rutgers University officials have confirmed that Kohut has been placed on administrative leave — and forbidden from stepping foot on campus.

Obviously, we here at THG do not claim to have any special knowledge regarding this case or Kohut’s alleged guilt or innocence.

No one seems to know whether the victim was a student, a colleague, or someone else.

Similarly, since the recording was apparently made without the victim’s knowledge, it is unclear how authorities learned of it — unless Kohut allegedly distributed the invasive video somehow.

This must be unsettling, for students and faculty at the university and, frankly, for professionals everywhere.

Everyone deserves to go to school, work, and beyond without some alleged pervert filming them. C’mon.

He was 80 years old.

Curry passed away late Tuesday night, according to a report from TMZ.

The site reports that Curry’s body was found after police responded to a call from his house at 11:23 pm.

No cause of death has been disclosed, and despite police involvement, no foul play is suspected.

Curry suffered a severe stroke in July 2012 that left the left side of his body partially paralyzed, but it’s unclear if his older health issues factored into his death.

Though best known for his lead role in Rocky Horror — which remains one of the biggest cult films of all time — Curry racked up hundreds of film and television credits over the course of his lengthy career.

He also turned in memorable performances in such films as Annie, The Hunt for Red October, Muppet Treasure Island, Addams Family Reunion, and Scary Movie 2.

On the small screen, Curry appeared on multiple episodes of Roseanne, and he played the lead in the 1997 sitcom Over the Top, in which he costarred with Annie Potts and Steve Carell.

He also played Pennywise the clown in the popular miniseries adaptation of Stephen King’s It.

On stage, Curry earned a Tony Award nomination for portraying Mozart in the original Broadway production of Amadeus, another nomination for My Favorite Year, and later won acclaim as King Arthur in Spamalot.

Curry’s passing follows the deaths of two Home Alone 2 costars. Brenda Fricker, the actress who portrayed “the Pigeon Lady” died in January of this year, while Catherine O’Hara passed just weeks later.

Our thoughts go out to Tim Curry’s loved ones at this enormously difficult time.

We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.

Dolly Parton Spent Final Months ‘Drowning In Grief’ Over Loss of Husband Carl …

Reading Time: 2 minutes

As you’ve likely heard by now, country music icon and humanitarian Dolly Parton passed away this week following a brief battle with cancer.

Parton lived one of the most iconic lives in recent American history, but her final months were marred by loss and grief.

The singer’s longtime husband, Carl Dean, passed away in March of 2025, and according to one new report, the loss devastated Dolly for the rest of her days.

“Carl’s death knocked the wind right out of her. She’s trying to rally herself, but most days she looks lost,” one source told Radar Online at the time.

“Carl was her rock. She depended on him more than people realized.”

“Knowing Carl for decades and being the most important person in her life, now that he is gone, as much as she can take comfort in other family members and fans having her back, it is never the same,” the insider added.

Another source says that in her final months, Dolly “was not eating right, not doing the things she usually would do for her continued health, and she let things slip.”

“When Carl died, that was the first time brakes were applied and reality set in and she didn’t know how to handle it,” the insider continued.

In the days following Carl’s death, Dolly took every opportunity to pay tribute to her loving husband, who famously maintained a low profile throughout her career.

“I fell in love with Carl Dean when I was 18 years old. We have spent 60 precious and meaningful years together,” she posted on Instagram after his passing.

“Like all great love stories, they never end. They live on in memory and song. He will always be the star of my life story.”

“Oh, you know what, I get very emotional when people bring it up,” Parton told Today‘s Savannah Guthrie, in June of last year, as she struggled to fight back tears.

“Right after I had lost Carl, I was just so bottled up with emotion, and I got in the van and just boo-hooed for the longest time, just feeling all that love and emotion,” she continued, adding:

“It’s a big adjustment just trying to change patterns and habits. I’ll do fine, and I’m very involved in my work, and that’s been the best thing that could happen to me. But I’ll always miss him, of course, and always love him. He was a great partner to me.”

Dolly’s brother, Coy “Denver” Parton also passed away in the months before her death.

As epic as her life may have been, Dolly was human and not immune from the sort of pain that impacts every life at one time or another.

Of course, her vulnerability was one of the things that made her relatable to so many millions of fans.

Busy Philipps Diagnosed With Rare, Malignant Brain Tumor

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Busy Philipps was diagnosed with a rare, malignant brain cancer this year.

She had known that something was off. After a lot of debate, she went in for a screening.

The day after her former co-star James Van Der Beek passed away, doctors discovered a tumor.

47-year-old Busy had to tell her ex, tell her children, and plan an invasive brain surgery.

Busy Philipps feels ‘grateful to be alive’

Speaking to People, Busy revealed that she underwent two brain surgeries following her diagnosis with a malignant brain tumor.

Referring to the “weirdest six months of my life,” she expressed that she feels “grateful to be alive.”

Busy is very conscious of how deadly cancer can be, referring to herself as “the luckiest girl in the world.”

She had a grade 2 oligodendroglioma, which is a slow-growing but malignant tumor. A Prenuvo scan caught it on February 12.

Debate with different doctors — her primary care physician talking her out of a full-body scan in 2025, but a family member who was also a doctor encouraging her — led to her finally getting screened.

Busy recalled texting her ex-husband, Marc Silverstein, “OMG I have a brain tumor.”

She shared: “And he wrote back, ‘Busy, what? What are you saying? What are you talking about?’ I was like, ‘It looks fine. It’s probably benign. I don’t know.’”

It was not, in fact, benign.

“This is a real tumor, and it’s inside your brain,” Busy described a neurologist explaining to her. “And Busy, it’s got to come out.”

When the reality hit home, Busy was “hyperventilating and trying to breathe.” She also had to tell her two children.

The brain surgery to remove the tumor lasted for 5 hours

Fortunately, 18-year-old Birdie and 13-year-old Cricket are both old enough to fully understand what a brain tumor is — and old enough to process their emotions.

Busy recalled her eldest being “kind of beside herself and really, really scared and overwhelmed with emotion.” That makes sense!

“I just kept saying to her, ‘Birdie, you’re just not in the movie where your mom dies your senior year of high school. That’s just not the movie that you’re in. I promise you,’” she shared.

Meanwhile, 13-year-old Cricket “was like, ‘OK. You’re going to be fine?’ And I was like, ‘I’m totally going to be fine.’ And she’s like, ‘OK.’”

These are normal, healthy reactions. It also makes sense that the eldest child would feel more anxiety. Even just 5 years of life experience at that age can make the risk of death feel much more real.

On March 2, surgeons removed the 2.6-centimeter mass during a 5-hour procedure.

It is fortunate that they caught it relatively early.

Had Busy not gone in for a screening, waiting until symptoms became impossible to ignore might have meant finding a tumor significantly larger.

She did have to go in for a follow-up surgery after developing a Staph infection.

It is a relief to know that she survived that harrowing ordeal. Busy knows better than most that many people do not.

Dolly Parton Tattoos Explained: Why Did She Have So Many?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

In addition to her signature look of big hair, flashy clothes, and a colorful bust, Dolly Parton had numerous tattoos.

The national icon and music legend passed away on Tuesday after a brief battle with cancer. She was 80.

For many years, some speculated that much of her oft-costumed body was covered with tattoos. That wasn’t quite right.

Before her passing, Dolly did discuss her numerous tattoos — and explained the reason that she got them.

‘My tattoos are pretty’

In 2020, Dolly Parton spoke to People about her tattoos — which were, for years, a hot topic for speculation.

“I do have some tattoos, that’s true,” she acknowledged.

“But they’re tasteful,” Dolly clarified. “I’m not a tattoo girl.” She was a hair-and-cleavage girl. Perhaps sequins, as well.

“My tattoos are pretty, they’re artful, and they usually started out to cover some scar, not to make a big statement,” she detailed.

Dolly shared that butterflies, ribbons, and bows were among the motifs decorating her body underneath her famous, larger-than-life costumes.

During that interview, Dolly recalled being “very sick for a while.” So sick, in fact, that she “had to wear a feeding tube” that left a clear mark on her side.

“I didn’t like it because I’m so fair that scars turn purple on me,” she shared relatably.

“I like to make positives out of negatives,” Dolly characterized.

She shared: “I had a little beehive tattooed over it — a little yellow-and-brown beehive with a tiny little bee on top of the hive.”

Referring to the indentation where the feeding tube once entered her body, Dolly detailed: “The mouth of it is that little sinkhole.”

‘He’s tattooed on my heart’

In March of 2025, Dolly Parton lost her beloved husband, Carl Thomas Dean. He was 82.

However, she has never gotten a tattoo of him.

“No, he’s tattooed on my heart,” she confirmed.

“Who knows, I may get some more later,” Dolly acknowledged.

Referring to those who wondered if her entire body was inked under her showy costumes, she joked: “I may just have to get covered with tattoos just so everybody could be right!”

During a 2016 interview with late talk show host Larry King, Dolly again explained that her scarring is a major motive for her tattoos.

“I have a tendency to have keloid scarring, and sometimes they won’t ever lose the purple,” she detailed.

“So I started having pastel little things to disguise things, splattered them here and there,” Dolly recalled.

“But,” she joked, “I wouldn’t be a biker chick or anything.”

Dolly Parton was a national treasure and an absolute legend. We will always love her.

Man Dumps Girlfriend of 3 Years After Arguing Over Lindsay Clancy Trial: X Users Pick …

Reading Time: 2 minutes

As we previously reported, the debate over the Lindsay Clancy murder trial has led to a sharp divide on social media.

Clancy was arrested for strangling her three children in 2023.

The defense (and most of Clancy’s supporters) are not denying that she killed the children, but they insist that she is not responsible for her actions due to postpartum psychosis.

While the controversy has not entirely broken down along lines of gender and politics — many women and progressives have sided against Clancy, and vice versa — most of Clancy’s most ardent supporters are moms urging compassion for her mental state.

And according to a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the trial became such a contentious topic for one couple that they decided to call it quits after three years together:

A screenshot of text messages between an unidentified man and woman has gone viral on the site and taken the debate over Clancy’s actions to new levels.

“So you’re really breaking up with me over a f–king opinion?” asked the woman.

“I’m not breaking up with you over an opinion. I’m breaking up with you because that opinion showed me a fundamental difference in our values,” the man responded, adding:

(X)

“I can have compassion for someone struggling mentally without excusing what happened to those children.

“If I’m choosing someone to potentially be the mother of my kids, I need to trust their judgment completely, especially when it comes to protecting them. What you said created a doubt in me that I can’t ignore or gamble my future children on.”

The post was widely reshared, with some praising the man for his judgment and others blasting his irrationality.

Few reasonable people would doubt that Clancy suffered some sort of psychotic break.

What’s at issue among many people (including this former couple) seems to be whether that fact absolves her of guilt.

After strangling the children, Clancy attempted suicide by jumping from a window, an act that left her paralyzed.

Clearly, she was not in her right mind at the time — but the fact remains that three young children died by her hand that day.

It’s not hard to see why the situation has inspired such strong opinions on both sides of the argument.

But hopefully as this trial proceeds, we’ll see fewer scorching hot takes and more acknowledgment of the the complexity of this horrific tragedy.
