McCoy Moore is a 24-year-old singer-songwriter who officially joined the Sony Music Nashville roster in partnership with Cervidae Records earlier this year. Between his growing catalog of songs, a packed tour schedule, and endless potential, he’s just getting started.
Moore spent his youth with a guitar in hand, prioritizing voice lessons while letting geometry take a back seat. As a result, he developed an incredibly strong voice, but it wasn’t until 2017 when the Lakeland, FL native met a country star who would change the trajectory of his life.
Moore was 16 years old when he scored a meet and greet with the one and only, Luke Combs. After meeting Combs and then watching his show, he was brought back to the “Fast Car” singer’s bus, where he was encouraged to never give up on his dreams.
The hopeful act used that advice as motivation to kickstart his own career. He moved to Nashville at 19, spent years honing in on his craft and got his name around town earning cuts by Shane Profitt, Roman Alexander, Bryce Mauldin and more.

This year alone, Moore has jumpstarted his singing career with songs like “Something to You,” “John Deere Blue,” “Naming Boats,” and most recently, “Memories We Never Made.”
He is fresh off his time serving as support on HARDY’s JIM BOB WORLD TOUR and is now busy showcasing his talent to even more crowds across the U.S. while on the road for select dates with Chase Rice and Kip Moore throughout the fall.
Keep reading to learn more about McCoy Moore, including his bond with Luke Combs, stories behind recent releases, future goals for his career and more.
For people who are just starting to find your music, how would you describe your sound and what would you say your mission is with your career in making music?
I’d say my sound is a little Florida on a boat and a little beer in a bar. Country music was always the soundtrack of my life and now that I have the opportunity to be the soundtrack to life for other people is the greatest feeling. I think my music will serve you well no matter if you’re having the best day, worst day, or anywhere in between.
It sounds like you developed a love for music early on. How did this passion really begin and who were some of your biggest musical influences at the time?
I didn’t really have a choice, country music was always around me. My family always had a radio going, and I was always memorizing the lyrics to my favorite songs. It was always a part of me but I didn’t know it was in the cards as a career until I was 17 years old. My biggest influences as a kid were definitely Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, and Keith Whitley.
Meeting Luke Combs at 16 sounds like a pivotal moment. How did this come about and how did the advice he shared motivate you to lean into this passion?
My mom got me tickets/M&G passes to a show in 2017, where we met Luke. We ended up connecting with Luke and his team after his set, and him and I spent about an hour and a half talking on his bus about life & music. For a 16 year old, your favorite artists telling you to never give up on it will definitely light the fire under you.
Have you had the chance to talk to Luke since then?
We’ve kept up with each other through social media, and we do check up on each other from time to time. So happy for him and how his career and life has progressed since 2017.
You grew up in Florida and made the move to Nashville at 19. What was that transition like?
The transition was tough, I love my hometown, but I knew Nashville was where I had to be. I’ve made some incredible friends here and that decision I made at 19 changed my whole life. I’d do it all over again.
How did it feel to take that next step and sign with Sony Music Nashville earlier this year?
It really is a surreal feeling. The history of the label, the artists who have been signed to Sony, it’s really crazy to think about. It took me stepping through the doors one time to know it was the place for me. So many incredible, hardworking people and I couldn’t be happier to have them in my corner and going on this journey with me.
Your latest release, “Naming Boats,” has a really easygoing, nostalgic vibe. How did that one come about?
I’m a bachelor, so this one is really just about being content with where you’re at. I obviously had to put my Florida spin on it, but I love how this one turned out. I think it sounds best on a boat, but I hope y’all turn it up everywhere!
This followed “John Deere Blue,” another clever track. This song features some very well known writers. What was it like working with them to bring this one to life?
It’s always the best feeling when you know you’re working with people who understand your artistry and can navigate that with you. Every song is a puzzle and I feel like every piece of that one fit perfectly. Shane McAnally has written some of my favorite songs, songs that really were the soundtrack to the best years of my life. Johnny Clawson is somebody that you will be seeing a lot from in the years to come.
As you continue to build out your catalog, what do you want fans to know about this next chapter of your career?
We have SO much coming, a ton of music, a ton of shows, and so much more to be excited about. I just released a new track called “Memories We Never Made.” It’s about wishing you could make one more memory with that special person who isn’t in your life anymore. Then the end of 2025 is going to set up a huge 2026 for us, and I couldn’t be happier to come play this music for everybody.
You are fresh off HARDY’s Jim Bob World Tour, can you describe what that experience was like?”
The Jim Bob World Tour was one of the best times of my life. This was my first tour experience other than going out as a writer with my friends before I was an artist. Getting to play my songs in such historic venues, seeing places I never thought I’d see, and meeting so many amazing people at the shows, was all so awesome for me.
Is there anything in particular you learned from that run that you’ll be carrying with you into the upcoming tour with Chase Rice?
I learned so many things from that tour. The biggest thing that I want to carry on every tour moving forward is the positive vibe. Everyone on the HARDY crew were so good to me and my guys, and made us feel right at home. We are blessed to get to do what we do so I’m going to make sure we’re always treating people that way and being present in these awesome moments.

Priscilla Block takes a piece of country icon Toby Keith with her everywhere she goes. In a new social media video, she proudly showed off her Toby Keith key chain hanging from her purse.
Block joked that while some people carry the trendy collectible dolls known as Labubus on their bags, she prefers something with a little more country flair.
“All of y’all are about Labubus on your bags, but do you have a Toby Keith Keith chain? No you don’t. That’s my Labubu! We love you, Toby,” she said with a laugh.
“Toby Keith forever,” she captioned the post.
Block’s love for Toby Keith is no secret. She previously told Country Now, “Toby is somebody that’s inspired a lot of people. He’s inspired me as an artist and a songwriter just to stay true to yourself and stand up for what you believe in.”
Last year, Block honored the late country legend during the NBC special Toby Keith: American Icon, where she shared the stage with Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, Jelly Roll, and more in the Oklahoma native’s honor.

She told us she had her team clear her calendar so she could be there.
“We got the call three days ago about this and I was like, ‘cancel anything on my calendar.’ I would love to be there,” she revealed.
Right now, Block is on the road with Cole Swindell as part of his Happy Hour Sad Tour. This fall, she’ll launch her own headlining trek, the Monster Energy Outbreak: Things You Didn’t See Tour, in support of her upcoming sophomore album, Things You Didn’t See, arriving October 10.

The new project showcases a more vulnerable side of the singer-songwriter than ever before. Across 14 tracks, she explores deeply personal topics including struggles with body image, online negativity, the mental toll of life in the spotlight, finding her artistic identity, and the challenges of fitting into country music’s traditional mold.
Fans have already gotten a taste of what’s to come with the release of her raw new song, “Couldn’t Care Less.” Co-written with Trannie Anderson, Alex Maxwell, and Cole Taylor, the track sheds light on Block’s feelings of being misunderstood, criticized, and overlooked when her name isn’t called at award shows.
“Writing ‘Couldn’t Care Less’ was the therapy I didn’t even know I needed. For a long time, people have seen me as bulletproof, but this is a side they haven’t seen. It’s the misunderstood part of me… the insecurities that come with being human. It feels like the perfect way to lead into my record ‘Things You Didn’t See,’ coming October 10th,” she explained.

Riley Green, whose nickname is “Duckman,” certainly knows his way around a duck call, and he proved it on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon during his recent visit.
The last time Green appeared on the show, he gifted Fallon a duck call. It turns out, the host hasn’t put the call to much use.

He joked, “I didn’t know if it was legal, first of all. I didn’t know what this was, I didn’t know what you were handing me at first!”
Green told him it wasn’t something you would “smoke out of,” but agreed “it does have that look.” Then, he encouraged him to practice it.
Fallon gave it a try on camera and hilarity ensued when he blew into the wrong end, making everyone laugh. After flipping it around, he finally got a sound out of it, though not quite like Riley’s.
Green then pulled his own duck call out of his back pocket and gave an epic demonstration, earning cheers and laughter from the audience.

“Yours is a little kazoo-ish,” Green pointed out with a laugh.
Green and Fallon also made plans to take their duck calling skills to the field, agreeing to go hunting together.
During their conversation, they also discussed Green’s headlining Damn Country Music Tour and his journey to becoming one of country music’s biggest stars. The Alabama native recalled honing in on his songwriting skills after playing a writer’s round during his early days in Nashville.

“I remember going to Nashville…Playing a writer’s round at Tootsies and there was 15 people in line after me, and every one of ’em was better than me, so I was like, ‘man, what can I do to set myself apart?,” he recalled. “Nobody can tell the exact story that I tell. So I started writing songs just about how I grew up and my family and those values, and I was just really fortunate that I think a lot of people grew up the same way and some of those songs did really well.”
Later, Riley Green took to The Tonight Show stage to perform the song “Make It Rain” from his recently released Don’t Mind If I Do (Deluxe) project. This album expands on his 2024 release with six new tracks: The new songs include “Make It Rain,” “Cowboy As It Gets” featuring Randy Houser, “I Just Need You” with Hannah McFarland, “What Am I Supposed To Do Now,” “Bet They’re Biting,” and “One To Willie” featuring Willie Nelson.

Graham Barham is turning heads with “Whiskey Rain,” his new collaboration with Tyler Hubbard.
Written by Barham alongside Jessi Alexander, Sam Martinez, and Cole Miracle, the track captures Barham and Hubbard drowning the pain of heartbreak in whiskey after a failed relationship.
“Let that whiskey rain, rain, rain, rain, rain/ Pour it on the pain, pain, pain, pain, pain/ I just wanna drown in that Tennessee fountain/ Let that liquor kick her right out of my veins/ Pour another round, round, round, round, round/ Doubles comin’ down, down, down, down, down/ Put a hurtin’ on me, wash away the lonely/ Only Jack can burn away her namе Let that whiskey rain, rain, rain, rain, rain,” they sing.

Hubbard recently opened up about how he met Barham and how their friendship eventually led to their collaboration.
“As much as I like the song, I think it’s more about loving Graham and wanting to do something together. I met Graham at a festival and he pulled up driving himself and came and crushed it and played an awesome show, and I was like, ‘Who is this guy?’ [I] ended up hanging out with him that night for awhile, and just connecting. We just kept in touch and kind of became buddies and hung out a few more times,” he shared.
“He kind of asked me, he was like, ‘Man, I’d really like for you to be on this project and do a song with me.’ Obviously, I was honored to, and he played me a few songs and ‘Whiskey Rain’ just kind of stood out as a song to me that I was like, ‘Yeah, I could hear us doing this.’ I think this could be really cool,” he continued.“ It’s an awesome song, and it just got me hyped every time I heard it, and I was like, ‘yeah, this will be a fun one.’ So, we just went in and did our thing, and it really felt organic. It felt like our vocals really blended nicely together, and again, Graham’s just a great dude, stand up guy, super talented, kind of knows what he wants and what he’s doing, and I just look at it as an opportunity to learn from a guy who’s crushing it in his lane and doing his thing. It’s been a lot of fun; really enjoyed it.”
The song serves as the title track off Barham’s WHISKEY RAIN EP. Barham co-wrote every track, and his signature “club country” sound is present throughout the project. WHISKEY RAIN was produced by Sam Bergeson with additional production contributions from Sam Martinez, Gabe Foust, Seth Mosley, Mark Holman, 6AM, and Zach Abend.

Barham’s OIL MONEY headlining tour kicks off September 11 in Covington, KY. Several dates have already sold out, prompting some shows to move to larger venues to meet fan demand.
Later this month, Barham is set to perform at the Grand Ole Opry on September 22 alongside Jelly Roll, Bailey Zimmerman, Marcus King, and Priscilla Block, in a benefit for the Judge Dinkins Educational Center and Buddy DeFord Charitable Fund.
