Lainey Wilson has been spending more time on screen lately and she shared that she’s looking forward to exploring even more acting opportunities in the future.
Currently fans can find the country star portraying the role of Amy, assistant manager of the grocery store in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him. She recently spoke about her time on set while catching up with EXTRA at the premiere of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary special.
The songstress shared, “Loved it. Loved it. And I’m excited to do more of it. I mean, honestly, like songwriting, you get to kind of like step into other people’s shoes and tell a story from that perspective. And that’s kind of how I felt with this.”
In addition to the film, which is out in theaters now, she is also preparing for the April 22 release of Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, a Netflix documentary that follows her rise from a small-town Louisiana dreamer to a Grammy-winning superstar while offering an inside look at her life on the road and in the studio.
Part of this special glimpse into her real-life journey will take fans back to her very early days of performing, when she would impersonate Hannah Montana at local birthday parties.
“My eighth grade teacher needed somebody to dress up like Hannah Montana and come to her little girl’s birthday party. And I went and I bought the wig and I already had the portable sound system. And I dressed up with Hannah Montana,” she explained to the outlet. “I impersonated her for five years from eighth grade to 12th grade. I did three or four parties a weekend. I would open up, Lainey Wilson would open up the show and then run behind the tree and change into my Hannah Montana get up.”
Things came full circle for Wilson in August of 2024 when she was selected to honor Miley Cyrus at the 2024 Disney Legends Awards ceremony by singing a cover of the Hannah Montana classic, “Best of Both Worlds.”
Wilson noted that because of her deep connection to Cyrus and her pop star alter ego, it felt “wild” to get to be present for the milestone anniversary celebration of the Hannah Montana TV show.
The “Somewhere Over Laredo” singer has a slew of festival appearance also on the books this year, including a set on the Mane Stage at Stagecoach. Between everything she has in the works this year in music and beyond, Lainey Wilson admitted it’s difficult to say what else she could possibly dream of happening to make the year even better for her.
“The truth is, I feel like so many opportunities have come my way that I never in a million years could have ever imagined, but it does seem like there’s something to be excited about every single day,” she shared honestly. “It just seems like opportunity is coming our way. So who knows? I’m open to all of it.”

Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line sent fans into a frenzy when they reunited on stage for the first time in over four years during Country Radio Seminar at Jason Aldean’s surprise 31st No. 1 party.
The moment came as Kelley and Hubbard took the stage to perform Aldean’s chart-topping hit “You Make It Easy,” which they co-wrote alongside Morgan Wallen and Jordan Schmidt. As they stepped up to the mic, Hubbard reflected on the moment, telling the crowd, “Man, it feels good to be here tonight. It feels good to be here with my brother.”
Inside a room packed with industry execs, radio programmers, on-air talent, and media, the duo seamlessly slipped back into their groove, trading lines and harmonizing like no time had passed.
The performance marked their first time sharing a stage since August 31, 2022, when they played their final show together at the Minnesota State Fair. It also follows a series of recent moments that have sparked speculation that something could be brewing between them.
In recent months, Kelley and Hubbard have been spotted spending time together, including a hang in Nashville and a trip to Colorado with their wives, Brittney Kelley and Hayley Hubbard. According to Hayley’s social posts, the group hit the slopes and enjoyed some downtime together at a mountain resort.
Recapping the trip, Hayley shared, God has been moving mountains and answering prayers out here 🏔️ Incredibly grateful for the gift of time well spent together, the way God has truly been working in all of our lives, for healing, redemption, and some good old-fashioned fun and laser tag.”
She later added a Bible verse about trust and faith, hinting at the deeper meaning behind their time together.
The reunion buzz first started building when the duo was photographed together at the CMA Awards last fall, their first photo together in years.
Not long after, Hubbard opened up about their relationship on the Human School Podcast, admitting, “I hadn’t spoken to BK a lot in the last couple of years, but we’re going on a hike next week, so the way I see it is, I have a desire for that friendship,” Hubbard said of Kelley, with whom he recently reunited at the 2025 CMA Awards. “I miss the guy I was partners with for 10 years. I miss my old roommate, my best man at my wedding, and if nothing else, we should have a relationship.”
It’s safe to say that reconnection has only grown stronger since then, and fans are definitely taking notice.

In the meantime, both artists are staying busy with solo work. Kelley recently dropped “Queen of 30A,” while Hubbard teamed up with Nate Smith on “After Midnight.”

It seems like Taylor Frankie Paul’s bad days have just begun.
Things spiraled out of control after Dakota accused her of attacking him recently.
Then the world saw that awful 2023 video.
Now there is new footage from that year — police bodycam from after that harrowing fight.
2023 bodycam footage shows a new side to things
TMZ has obtained and released clips of bodycam footage from 2023, when police visited Dakota and Taylor’s home and arrested her.
First, the police separated the two, who were still screaming at each other.
Taylor appears to be struggling, stumbling as she walks, even breaking down sobbing while trying to pour herself some water.
Dakota claims to the officers that “she’s not doing okay.”
He then claimed: “I can’t even tell you the stuff that’s happened to me.” He showed police apparent injuries.

Officers had quickly decided that they believed Taylor to be the primary aggressor.
Even so, Dakota tells officers that he wants them to take him in, not Taylor.
The police explain to him that they believe that being arrested will help her to realize how serious this is.
“I truly just want her to get help,” Dakota claims to the law enforcement officers.
There are multiple takes on this bad situation. Dakota’s line there is both what a victim and an abuser might say in that situation.

Every detail is so upsetting
Another piece of footage shows one of Taylor’s children watching from within the home, seeing her placed in handcuffs.
Her parents arrive at the house to watch over her kids while she’s in custody.
Police place her in the back of a police car and haul her away.
A separate clip shows police speaking to Dakota about a metal bar stool that Taylor threw at him.
He says that it ricocheted to hit her kid, who was sitting on the couch. But it had some help — as Dakota admits that he deflected the object.

Police also spoke to Dakota about an alleged incident when Taylor urinated on herself during a car ride.
According to him, Taylor was intoxicated on a long drive home, and asked him repeatedly to pull over so that she could relieve herself.
Dakota said she couldn’t wait, and opened the door to urinate by the side of the road.
Not to give too much credit to the police, but even they brought up how domestic violence victims will sometimes urinate on themselves.
Dakota, however, claimed that it was simply a matter of Taylor having too much to drink.
This scandal has exploded
The harrowing incident was not news to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives viewers. It was covered at the start of the franchise.
However, the release of the shocking video was news to most of the Bachelor Nation.
There is speculation that Dakota’s aim was to sabotage Taylor’s season of the reality show — and that it worked.
ABC pulled the entire, finished season of the reality dating competition, mere days before the premiere date.
Taylor’s 3-year probation runs out in August of this year. But her reality TV career may end sooner than that.
