Doja Cat Deep Throats Microphone During Stunt At Seoul Concert

Doja Cat shocked fans when she put her microphone in her mouth during a concert in Seoul, South Korea, earlier this month.

The rapper was performing “Jealous Type” when she wrapped her lips around the microphone head. Video of the moment spread across social media within hours.

Fans at the Seoul venue gasped when they saw what happened. The clip shows Doja holding the mic close to her face before putting it in her mouth.

The microphone moment happened in the middle of her set. Doja continued performing, usually after the brief stunt.

This isn’t the first time Doja has done something unexpected during her “Tour Ma Vie” shows. She performed in Thailand earlier this month, wearing a pink wig with white powder on her nose during “Demons.”

The “Tour Ma Vie” trek supports her latest album Vie, which dropped in September. Doja said the album explores “love, sex, romance, pain, and wonder within a relationship.”

She chose the title Vie as a nod to “La Vie en Rose” and tied it to romance themes throughout the project. The singer called it an “adventurous” entry in her catalog. Doja’s concerts have become known for wild theatrical moments. Fans never know what she’ll do next on stage.

The “Tour Ma Vie” world tour continues through 2026. Shows are scheduled across multiple continents before wrapping up in North America next December.

Fans on social media had mixed reactions to the Seoul incident. Some called it artistic expression, while others questioned if it was safe.

The Seoul concert was part of the Asian leg of her world tour. Doja has been performing across different countries for months.

How to Maximize Release Radar for Hip-Hop Artists: The Algorithm Strategy Nobody’s Teaching You

Why Your Next Single’s First 24 Hours Determine Everything—And How to Win

Release Radar is Spotify’s most powerful tool for independent hip-hop artists, and most rappers are leaving thousands of streams on the table by not understanding how it actually works. Every Friday, Spotify generates personalized playlists for each user featuring new releases from artists they follow plus algorithmically suggested tracks. For hip-hop artists trying to break through without label backing, Release Radar is the difference between 500 streams and 50,000 streams in your first week.

But here’s what nobody tells you: Release Radar placement isn’t automatic just because you dropped new music. Spotify’s algorithm decides which tracks make the cut based on engagement signals you generate before and immediately after release. Understanding how to trigger these signals is the game within the game.

Why Release Radar Hits Different for Hip-Hop

Hip-hop operates on momentum and credibility. In rap, you’re only as hot as your last release. Release Radar amplifies this dynamic because it rewards artists who consistently drop music and generate immediate engagement. The algorithm notices when your new single gets saves, playlist adds, and complete plays within the first 24-48 hours—and responds by pushing your track to more Release Radar playlists.

This matters more for hip-hop than other genres because rap fans are voracious consumers who check for new music constantly. They follow dozens or hundreds of artists and actually use Release Radar to discover what dropped. If you’re not maximizing your Release Radar strategy, you’re invisible to listeners who are actively looking for new hip-hop every Friday.

The numbers don’t lie: artists who optimize for Release Radar typically see 3-5x more first-week streams than those who just upload and hope. That early momentum triggers Spotify’s other algorithmic playlists—Discover Weekly, Rap Caviar Radio, and genre-specific algorithmic flows that can turn regional artists into national names.

The Pre-Release: Setting Up for Maximum Impact

Release Radar success starts weeks before your drop date. Here’s the strategy:

Build Your Follower Base Aggressively: Release Radar only shows your music to people who follow you on Spotify. If you’ve got 100 followers, you’re starting with tiny reach. If you’ve got 10,000 followers, you’re hitting 10,000 Release Radar playlists automatically.

Drive Spotify follows through every channel: Instagram Stories with swipe-up links, TikTok videos with Spotify follow CTAs, YouTube video descriptions, and direct asks during live performances. Don’t assume fans who know your music are following you on Spotify—they’re probably not unless you explicitly told them to.

Drop Consistently on the Same Day: Spotify’s algorithm rewards consistency. If you drop singles every 4-6 weeks on Fridays, the algorithm learns your pattern and anticipates your releases. Sporadic drops confuse the system and reduce your algorithmic visibility.

Use Pre-Save Campaigns Strategically: Pre-saves signal to Spotify that people are excited about your release before it even drops. When hundreds of people pre-save your track, it tells the algorithm this release will generate engagement—increasing the likelihood Spotify pushes it harder on release day.

The key is making pre-saves easy. Use Music Smart Links that automatically route fans to pre-save functionality on their preferred platform. One click, automatic save, done. Every extra step loses people, especially on mobile where most hip-hop fans discover music.

Release Day: The Critical 24-Hour Window

Release Radar playlists update Friday mornings. What happens in the first 24 hours after your track hits determines whether the algorithm amplifies your release or buries it.

Coordinate Your Push for Friday Morning: Don’t wait until Friday afternoon to start promoting. Your biggest fans should be hitting your track Friday morning when Release Radar drops. That means your Instagram posts, tweets, and Stories need to go live early, directing people to listen immediately.

Drive High-Quality Engagement, Not Just Plays: The algorithm doesn’t just count streams—it measures engagement quality. Saves and playlist adds count more than passive plays. Your release day messaging should explicitly ask fans to save the track and add it to their playlists, not just listen once.

Language matters here. Tell your audience: “Hit that plus button” or “Add this to your playlist” or “Save this joint.” Most fans don’t know these actions help you algorithmically—educate them.

Make It Ridiculously Easy to Find Your Music: Your Link-in-Bio is critical release day infrastructure. When you post “new single out now,” fans click your bio link and should land directly on your music with zero friction. Not a list of 10 platform options—intelligent routing that sends iPhone users to Apple Music and Android users to Spotify automatically.

Every second of confusion loses listeners. Hip-hop fans are scrolling fast and have short attention spans. If your link game is weak, you’ve already lost.

Create Content That Drives Replays: Release Radar measures completion rate—do people finish your track or skip after 30 seconds? In hip-hop, this means your track needs to hit immediately. No 90-second intros. Hook them in the first 15 seconds.

Create visual content that makes people want to replay: lyric videos, behind-the-scenes studio footage, reaction videos from your crew. Content that drives multiple listens triggers the algorithm harder than content that drives one passive play.

The Post-Release: Sustaining Momentum

Most artists make a huge push release day then go quiet. That’s backwards. Release Radar is just the entry point—the real algorithmic amplification happens in weeks 2-4 if you maintain engagement.

Week 1 Strategy: Continue promoting like it’s release day. Share milestones (10K streams, 1K saves, playlist adds), post different angles on the track, share fan reactions. The algorithm watches engagement patterns over the full first week, not just day one.

Week 2-3 Strategy: Shift to content that drives discovery—freestyles over the beat, live performance clips, collaborator posts. If the track has a feature, coordinate with your collaborator for their audience push in week 2, creating a second wave of Release Radar visibility for their followers.

Week 4 Strategy: Release alternative content—acoustic version, sped-up version, chopped and screwed remix. Each version is new content that can trigger fresh Release Radar placements.

The Technical Details That Separate Amateurs from Pros

Spotify for Artists Submission: Submit your track for editorial playlist consideration through Spotify for Artists 1-2 weeks before release. Include details about your promotional plan, any press coverage, and why the track fits specific playlists. This doesn’t guarantee editorial placement, but it signals to Spotify you’re serious and strategic.

Metadata Optimization: Your track title, artist name, and genre tags affect algorithmic categorization. Be specific with genre tags—”Detroit Trap” or “Drill” rather than just “Hip-Hop.” Specificity helps Spotify place you in the right algorithmic flows.

Avoid Stream Manipulation: Don’t use bots, click farms, or fake playlist placement services. Spotify’s fraud detection is sophisticated, and getting flagged kills your algorithmic visibility permanently. Organic growth is slower but sustainable.

Why Your Current Strategy Is Probably Failing

Most hip-hop artists treat Spotify like it’s SoundCloud 2010—upload and hope for the best. That worked when competition was lighter. In 2026, with 100,000+ tracks uploaded daily, you need strategy.

The artists breaking through aren’t just the most talented—they’re the ones who understand that streaming platforms are algorithmic games with rules you can learn and exploit legally. Release Radar is the most accessible entry point to algorithmic promotion because it’s purely based on engagement you can influence, not editorial gatekeepers you can’t access.

If you’re dropping singles without optimizing for Release Radar, you’re essentially promoting yourself with one hand tied behind your back. The listeners are there, actively checking for new music every Friday. The algorithm will surface your music to them if you give it the signals it’s looking for.

The Reality Check

Release Radar won’t make a trash song pop. Quality still matters. But if you’re making good music and it’s not getting heard, Release Radar optimization is probably your missing piece.

The infrastructure is simple: consistent release schedule, aggressive follower growth, strategic pre-saves, coordinated release day push, and sustained post-release engagement. The execution separates artists building real momentum from those staying stuck at local level.

Hip-hop has always been about using whatever tools are available to get your voice heard. In 2026, those tools are algorithmic. Learn the game, play it better than your competition, and watch what happens when you stack consistent drops with strategic Release Radar optimization.

Your next single’s first 24 hours will determine whether you stay underground or break through to the next level. Make them count.

Gunna Brings Wun World Tour To Africa With Three Major Festival Dates

Gunna locked in three major African festival dates after his North American tour brought in nearly $15 million. The Atlanta rapper hits Lagos, Cape Town and Johannesburg between December and January.

Gunna’s Wun World Tour proved rap can still pack venues despite industry concerns about the genre’s commercial appeal. His 18 North American shows sold roughly 200,000 tickets and grossed close to $15 million.

Madison Square Garden sold out completely. Toronto got two shows. The Georgia-born rapper now takes his tour international with three African festival stops.

View this post on Instagram

Lagos gets him first tonight (December 29) at the Detty December Festival. Cape Town’s Milk & Cookies Festival booked him for January 3. Johannesburg’s Milk & Cookies Festival closes out his African run on January 10.

These African dates mark a big step for Gunna in connecting with fans across the continent. The rapper’s been building momentum since his plea deal in the YSL RICO case created tension with Young Thug.

Live Nation also reported strong European demand for Gunna’s upcoming shows. All but two European dates already sold out. Rolling Loud Australia books him for March 7 and 8.

Eight European cities follow the Australian dates. These three shows test whether Gunna can build a global fanbase beyond North America.

His latest album, The Last Wun, hit streaming platforms in August and has racked up 600 million Spotify streams.

Tyler Perry Accuser Asked For Money According To Texts: “I Barely Pay My Bills”

Tyler Perry faces his second sexual assault lawsuit from a male accuser, as text messages between him and Mario Rodriguez show the plaintiff asking for financial help before filing the $77 million suit.

Rodriguez filed the sexual battery lawsuit last week, claiming Perry made unwanted advances and grabbed his penis. But text messages obtained by TMZ from August 31, 2024, show Rodriguez reaching out to Perry about health problems.

“Brother haven’t been feeling ok confused and lil nauseous I got blood work thinks its my teeth,” Rodriguez wrote to Perry. “I know it’s none of your business idk what do I know I promised you I would never ask you for anything, but if it is what I think it is, I don’t think I could do it on my own because I barely pay my bills scared af.”

The messages show Rodriguez was worried about his health and financial situation. He told Perry he was concerned about getting sepsis like his father and dying.

“I don’t want to get sepsis like my dad and pass away I don’t even wanna mention it because I don’t wanna make it real,” he wrote.

Rodriguez explained his dental problems in the messages.

“Feel sick most days never told anybody this but my mom and everybody is starting to notice my broke a 🦷. Don’t have insurance,” he said. He also mentioned his Beverly Hills dentist was “in prison for fraud.”

The messages continued with Rodriguez describing his symptoms.

“I’ve always been healthy but lately I’ve been waking up confused and dizzy and a bunch of stuff. I just can’t go to the doctor because I can’t even afford it. I don’t want anything. I just wanna be OK. Scared brother.”

Other messages from 2024 show Rodriguez thanking Perry and expressing love for him.

This marks the second sexual assault case against Tyler Perry from a male accuser. In June 2024, Derek Dixon filed a $260 million lawsuit against Perry, claiming sexual harassment and assault. Dixon starred as Dale on BET’s “The Oval.”

He claimed Perry subjected him to escalating sexual harassment starting in 2020 when he quit his job to work on the show. Dixon alleged Perry groped him on multiple occasions and retaliated when he resisted the advances.

Dixon left “The Oval” in September 2024 and spoke publicly about his allegations in interviews. He described jumping out of bed during one alleged incident with Perry.

Perry’s attorney, Alex Spiro, called Rodriguez’s lawsuit “nothing but a 77 million dollar money grab scam.” Perry has denied all allegations in both cases.

The Rodriguez case centers on alleged incidents during the filming of “Boo! A Madea Halloween,” where Rodriguez had a small role. He claims Perry made unwanted sexual advances and physically assaulted him.

Both accusers worked on Perry’s productions before filing their lawsuits. The cases raise questions about workplace conduct in Perry’s entertainment empire.

Perry built his career creating the Madea character and producing films and TV shows through his Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. He has become one of the most successful Black entertainers in Hollywood.

The text messages could play a key role in Rodriguez’s case as Perry’s legal team argues they show financial motivation behind the lawsuit.

Kids Charged After Mom & Son Beaten Near Chicago School As Lil Zay Osama Helps Family

Seven kids got charged after they beat up a mom and her 9-year-old son near a Chicago school. The attack happened last month, but cops just announced the charges on Tuesday.

Corshawnda Hatter and her son were walking home from Orville Bright Elementary School when the group jumped them. The kids who did it were between 10 and 13 years old. They all got misdemeanor battery charges.

The whole thing started because of bullying at the school. Hatter said her son was getting picked on and she tried to handle it the right way. But instead of getting help, she and her kid got attacked.

“I can’t sleep because I wake up in the middle of the night with that vision in my head of my son calling my name to help him and I couldn’t do nothing for him,” Hatter said.

The attack was so bad that both Hatter and her son went to the hospital in serious condition. Hatter said the beating was so violent that she can’t have any more kids now. But something good came out of all this pain. Chicago rapper Lil Zay Osama saw what happened and decided to help the family during Christmas.

Lil Zay Osama teamed up with Ceasefire to surprise Hatter and her two kids with tons of presents. They got an Xbox, baby dolls, clothes and other gifts. The rapper also gave the family a $650 check to help them out.

“This the only family I have. It makes it real brighter. I love all of this, knowing that I have people behind my back supporting me,” Hatter said when she got the surprise.

The gift giveaway happened at Ceasefire headquarters in Calumet Park. Hatter brought both her kids – 10-year-old Devonlee and 6-year-old Devonye. The kids were so happy to get all the presents. Lil Zay Osama said he had to do something after seeing the video of the attack.

“Nobody, kids, no parents, nobody at all. That ain’t parents don’t deserve that type of treatment at all,” he said.

The rapper said he wants to keep helping the family even after Christmas. He’s part of the stop the violence movement in Chicago and thinks what happened to them was totally wrong. Meanwhile, the seven kids who did the attack got released from custody and have to go to counseling. Hatter thinks they should have gotten more time in juvenile detention.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson said he was “deeply disturbed” by the video. He said the city is working with schools and police to make sure kids are safe walking to and from school.

The attack happened in the 10600 block of South Bensley Avenue around 3 P.M. Video of the beating went viral on social media and got shared thousands of times. Chicago Public Schools said they’re working with the mayor’s office and police to help the family. They also said they’re adding more support for students at the school.

Hatter said the whole experience has been traumatic for her family. But getting help from Lil Zay Osama and the community has made things a little better during the holidays.

Nicki Minaj Might Flip 50 Cent Hip-Hop Classic Into A Super Diss

Nicki Minaj and 2026. Be nice.

After a few unusually quiet days from the Queen, the rumor mill is churning. There’s new speculation that she is not resting or retreating but recalibrating. Rumors are out there saying Nicki Minaj is allegedly plotting a musical response that has nothing to do with politicians or MAGA.

READ ALSO: Nicki Minaj Deportation Petition Sparks Online Uproar

There’s the potential remake of a Hip-Hop staple. The song in question is “Many Men (Wish Death)” by 50 Cent. But Nicki is reportedly going to do a gender flip. Insiders/outsiders claim Nicki is considering a version tentatively titled “Many Women,” built around the idea that she believes women in the industry want to see her fall all the way off.

Wanting someone dethroned is not the same as wishing death. 50 had people literally trying to kill him. And that distinction matters. From where I am sitting, there is not a loud chorus of female rappers plotting her doom. They might not like her, butI am feeling a sense of indifference. If anything, the loudest voices come from fans, former fans and social media not other female rappers.

That said, perception is reality in Hip-Hop. People have dissed people for much less. If Nicki feels cornered, she will lash out. The irony is that the loudest real world pressure she faces right now has nothing to do with rap beef at all. The online petition calling for her deportation continues to gain signatures! The chances of that actually happening are slim, but the optics are messy. The petition is now at 58,206.

Suddenly, it is clearer why Nicki may feel surrounded and may get defensive. Whether “Many Women” ever materializes is still speculation.

As always, take this for what it is. A rumor. But in Hip-Hop, rumors have a funny way of turning into records. Stay tuned.

Deion Sanders & Karrueche Tran Are Official – “Unc Got Him A Young Thang!”

Deion Sanders made his relationship with Karrueche Tran Instagram official Sunday, posting their first photo together and sending social media into a frenzy over their 21-year age gap.

Coach Prime shared a cozy snap on his Instagram Story, showing the 57-year-old football legend smiling as 36-year-old Tran snuggled up on his shoulder. The post came after months of dating rumors that started when Tran was spotted by Deion’s bedside during his health crisis earlier this year.

Fans had mixed reactions to the couple’s official debut. “Unc got him a young thang! Live it up!” one user posted on social media. Others questioned the significant age difference between the NFL Hall of Famer and the actress.

The relationship first drew public attention when Tran appeared in Deion Jr.’s YouTube vlog, showing Sanders at the hospital for treatment of blood clots. She was seen crying at his bedside during his bladder cancer surgery, providing emotional support during his health battle.

Tran has been a constant presence with the Sanders family ever since. She spent Christmas at Deion’s mansion, where his son, Shilo, jokingly called her “stepson” after she gave him a Fear of God ESSENTIALS outfit.

The couple confirmed their holiday together at the Browns vs. Steelers game on Sunday. “I got to spend some quality time with the Sanders family, and my family. We had a great Christmas together,” Tran said in an interview.

Sanders drove two hours to Prosper, Texas, to meet Tran’s parents during the holidays, shocking his son Shilo, who couldn’t believe his father made the long trip.

Tran previously said dating older men is “the way to go” when asked about the relationship rumors in September. The 21-year age gap has drawn comparisons to other Hollywood couples.

For instance, Cher is dating 39-year-old Alexander “AE” Edwards despite their 40-year age difference. The 79-year-old singer has defended her relationship with the music producer, saying age has never been an issue.

Sanders was previously engaged to Tracey Edmonds before their split earlier this year. Tran dated Chris Brown from 2011 to 2015.

LeBron James Accused Of Golfing During National Anthem & MAGA Maniacs Go Nuts

LeBron James sparked outrage from MAGA supporters after footage showed him practicing golf swings during the national anthem before the Lakers’ Christmas Day game against the Houston Rockets.

The 40-year-old NBA legend was caught on camera warming up and taking practice swings while “The Star-Spangled Banner” played at the arena.

The incident reignited long-standing tensions between James and Trump supporters who have criticized the Lakers star for years over his political activism. Social media exploded with angry reactions from MAGA followers who called his behavior disrespectful.

“Comrade James is just showing his Chinese colors,” one user posted, referencing past controversies over James’ comments about China and Hong Kong protests.

Another wrote: “You are such a P0S. If you hate this country so much (the country that made you rich, BTW), then GET THE HELL OUT.”

The golf swing incident occurred before the Lakers’ 119-96 loss to Houston on Christmas Day. James scored 18 points in the defeat but admitted before the game he would rather be home with his family than playing on the holiday.

James has become obsessed with golf in recent months, frequently posting videos of himself on courses. He said in August that he was “addicted” to the sport, joining other NBA legends like Michael Jordan and Steph Curry who became avid golfers during their careers.

Curry even mocked LeBron James‘s swing at a celebrity tournament, calling it “rookie hazing” while saying James had “good bones” for the sport.

The Christmas Day controversy adds to James’ history of clashes with Trump supporters who view his activism as unpatriotic. Conservative critics have repeatedly told him to focus on basketball instead of politics, but James has maintained his right to speak out on social issues affecting his community.

In 2018, Fox News host Laura Ingraham told James to “shut up and dribble” after he criticized then-President Trump. James fired back, saying he would never “shut up and dribble” because he owed too much to his community.

James has been a frequent critic of Trump throughout the president’s political career. He called Trump’s rhetoric divisive and said the January 6 Capitol riots happened “because of him.” The NBA star also supported Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, posting a video that compared Trump’s language to historical violence.
